- I started my day at Mom's Laksa restaurant and I ordered Teh C Special to start out my day with some lovely drink and for food I had authentic Laksa Sarawak and Mee Kolok. Both laksa and mee kolok were really Yummy so highly recommended to try those in Mom's Laksa or any other restaurant in Kuching.
After this I headed out for a walk I went to nearby park that was not too far away maybe around 20 minute walk away. It was very lovely park for walking or running just in the city of Kuching. Kuching is surely good for nature.
After this I took taxi and headed to the shopping center that was close to the Malaysia Chinese Friendship park. Shopping center was not that exciting for me, so I just looked around a bit got myself a water and then headed to the park next.
Kuching is very cool place if you enjoy more quiet city vibes and it was some interesting food, Teh C special is such a lovely drink and If I go Sarawak Kuching next time I will be for sure enjoying that as my daily beverage.

Mom's laksa is not popular laksa in Kuching. Laksa and Kolo Mee is Chinese traditional foods, so you must eat them at the Chinese old streets, for example Carpenter Street.
Malay's laksa is sweet and not tasty!
Yeah hopefully next time I can taste some other ones, maybe even better flavour 😁
@@Gymson Welcome to Kuching!
Mom's laksa is not something i recommend for a 1st timer. Their signature gravy is too thick.
@@alcaseyreacher8473where's the best laksa in town?
Agree... it's a totally different level
Nice
Thanks 🥰
The Chinese kolok mee is more yummy..that's the original recipe for kolok mee..it's served with pork
Nice😃👍🏼
should have also tried Anthony Bourdain's favorite Laksa Sarawak spot at Choon Hui Cafe located at Ban Hock Rd. Another unique dish known as Laksa Borneo, is also available at James Brooke Bistro & Cafe, Kuching. You should also give it a try.
Awesome I wish I had those recommendations earlier. Next time possibly, haha. I really appreciate it :)
Wow food Sam at food thai
Yup exactly 😁😁😁
Yes sarawak laksa is famous. The breakfast of gods
Haha, yes it is. Quite heavy for breakfast, but so yummy 😁 do you eat it for breakfast?
Sarawak laksa is the best laksa in Malaysia for me, Mee kolo if its me i dont pour the soup, you should try the Chinese ver. of kolo mee and laksa sarawak.because the food is original made by Chinese.
Yeah, I should try without soup too as you recommended. Have you tried with soup before,?
Sarawak laksa is my favourite food ☺️ it's different every time you go to a different restaurant. The fun is finding out which laksa you like best!
So true! I also enjoyed it very much, have you tried this restoraunt?
Not this one yet but I'll look out for it next time I'm in Kuching 😁
You go to padungan shop the kolok mee is cheap and delicious she put more pieces of pork meat. Many other dishes . Also one shop sell pork leg rice rm15, so yummy the broth😋 .
Thanks for the tips! :)
Laksa Sarawak - a must-have dish as visitor in Kuching, except me as Kuching resident. I can buy laksa sarawak paste and cook into the soup for my kolok mee (self-cooked too). 🤣🤣
Yeah truly must try. Is home cooked better?
@@Gymson Admittedly quite ok, though might not quite match the best cook, but safer
@@terencelee880 Cool, that makes sense 😄
There are many good laksa in Malaysia, curry laksa (curry noodle), asam laksa (Penang laksa), Johor laksa, Sarawak laksa, Nyonya laksa (similar to curry laksa).
I hope that you have also tried the kek lapis Sarawak (colorful layered cake), very popular in Kuching.
I didn't try that sadly😁😁 hopefully next time
Yeah a lot of them indeed. I love laksa, such a great dish 😁😋have you tried them all
@@Gymson Hopefully so, plenty more food you can try when you come back to Malaysia after Thailand or another different country in Southeast Asia. 😁
@@Gymson I haven't tried one yet, it's the Sarawak laksa. Even though I'm a Malaysian, there's still some food that I haven't tried yet, hehe. 😁
I'm not going to comment on the laksa and mi kolok because I know they're delicious 🤤but what caught my attention were the grey skies in this whole vlog, similar to the depressing skies in the UK here! 😩😂
Yeah Andy, it was quite gray that time indeed and a bit depressing in that way😄 hopefully UK weather is getting better for you👀
Of course our skies here is grey and gloomy like in the UK. The british colonised Malaya including Sarawak for over a century 😂😂😂. Apparently they colonised our skies as well.
try kolok without adding in liquid
Yeah I will next time, is it better without?
Hi.. Eat mee kolok next
Sorry to intrude, but I think he also had the mee kolok as soon as he finished up the Sarawak laksa, right Kevin.
Yeah 😁😁 Yasin didn't miss it👍🏻
@@Gymson Wonderful. 😁
Mee karibang
Whats that 😄
Bro..when you will come back to kl?
Hey, I'm not sure right now when. I love KL, but I'm also thinking about exploring some other countries in Asia
@@Gymson go to China and meet the 3 Chinese girls you met in Kl few months ago..😀
@@sysy1971 lol 😄😄 perhaps one day
Hello, you are so handsome. I am gay and Chinese. I really like European and handsome guys. Your videos are so cool, but I don’t speak English. I hope you won’t be angry. I use a translator to write English comments. I will always support your videos.
Appreciate your support 😁
Don't be so polite. I really like Europeans, especially gay guys, but I don't speak English.
@@kindgay_world okay🤣
should go different place....if u ask local, especially chinese people...they know better...its their cuisine tho...sad no body proper guide you...
Yeah your probably right, I just noticed this place and it had laksa in name so it was easy😁😁
@@Gymson and good kolo mee is red with pork oil we call it pork lard oil...or u can order the white one (kolo mee must have pork)
You are not supposed to pour the soup into the noodles. You take the soup separately. Same as like you take the Western dishes when you take the soup separately.
Yeah, I understand now. I asked staff that day she told me to pour that😁 she said yes
Wrong shop to go...
Well, it was quite good, but of course I believe there are better spots that are more local :), what are your favorites?
are you racist ?
Be careful to eat food in Kuching
Why do you think so Ash?
@@Gymson listen, I went there so often and now? I can’t go there again but I believe Kuching had their good business and a lot of people have good polite . Top spot is the food court . 👍
@@ASH-xt8uh interesting 😄
