    Tidy brickwork but can't understand why people still use plastic trays
    UPvc trays with Lead flashings attached are so much better, especially the brick ones even for blockwork as look neater
    No need for cutting in after or hassle just pull up and flash underneath
    Good luck with your channel
    Jagclamps are also a joy to use for line clamps

    Cracking job mate, just for your info new regs we have you work to with your damp trays, we have to bed them and poke the damp out around 10mm, then scrape the joint out so the roofer can then poke his dressing under

    • @lessismore83009
      @lessismore83009 Před 2 lety +3

      Wherever possible build the flashing in, if that's not possible as Michael said bed the tray on a nice bed leave the tray poking out. Rake out enough for the roofer to get his lead in, otherwise he uses a grinder an rips the tray to bits. Also another thing to look out for is the lead wedges they hammer in sometimes to secure the lead, they push the tray back so the tray and lead don't overlap. If that elevation happens to be one that gets hammered by rain it can leak in.

      @bricklayersworldwithandy6277 Před 2 lety +1

      It was always like that then for some reason it whent out of fashion and roofers had to grind out new work for there lead, most jobs done like that the tray is in the wrong place.

    just been watching your video and I can't believe you haven't continued the cavity where the new extension connects to the existing building this is really bad not only will this cause damp issues but also a cold spot, to tooth in is correct but not to create the minimum 50mm cavity is shocking the toothing will just hide the poor workmanship of not continuing the cavity, this is typical of a lazy builder who can't be arsed to do the job properly shame on you, if your going to post videos of work don't include school boy errors like this.
