- eighbors were in the dark Tuesday morning as the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives arrived at 4 Durant Court. It was around 6 a.m. when its operation to serve a federal search warrant went sideways. Shea De Bruyn woke up to gunfire across the street.
So a bunch of dudes break into your home, unannounced, at dawn, 6 am, and you, as a law abiding citizen attempt to defend your home, and you are shot in the head. Then, the ATF relates the story without mentioning details, without sharing the warrant, and without sharing the body cams. Laughing in footage in front of the house after the event. The ATF is turning out to be our U.S. version of the Gestapo.
Except the Stapo were going after people pushing gender ideology and communism.. Knock it off with trying to compare the Left to Germany. Germany was fighting to prevent everything currently happening in the West.

Search warrants aren’t announced. That would defeat their purpose. You don’t get to defend your home against LAWFUL(pre-approved by a judge) government intrusion.
Law enforcement also doesn’t put their case evidence on the evening news so that bystanders like you can be persuaded they did the right thing. That’s not how any of this works & your resentment of our American justice system isn’t going to do anything except get you killed or imprisoned if your ever brave enough to act on your wrong-headedness.

They were serving a search warrant not an arrest warrant they probably wanted to catch him before he could get to a gun or get rid of evidence.

Why was a no knock raid even needed? He was a high profile person, extremely likely that he could have been confronted in his office with no violence. A couple of agents show up at the airport and say, "We need you to come with us. We have a warrant to search your house." Also damning is the US Attorney refused to disclose the contents or reason for the warrant to TV news.

I was a law enforcement officer for one of the largest departments in the USA.
I have known a few airport managers in my time. In CA, MI and FL.
None of them were active gun enthusiasts. They all were aircraft enthusiasts.

If what I've heard is correct he was selling guns and some of them have been used in crimes and he was selling enough that he should have had a FFL the ATF was serving a no knock warrant and he fired at them , it's terrible that someone died but if you don't want to get shot by law enforcement don't do things that will make the law enforcement agents kick in your door and if they do don't shoot at them.

Why do you have to be so heartless? Even if you're being sarcastic and you do think the ATF did indeed overreact with a no-knock raid, instead of announcing themselves properly, we don't know that! And this man may be dying or dead by now, for protecting his home AND family from an unannounced forceful entry. I bet they came for him for a freaking paperwork error, or for having bought something that was declared legal years ago and now the ATF has changed the rules without passing new laws, and they want to confiscate it unlawfully while these rules are still currently being litigated.
