OMG I remember that intro from when I was a kid. We weren't allowed to watch TV late at night but my brother and I had a clock radio that we sat between us in the bed with the volume down low so that our mom wouldn't hear it. And we listened to these stories as we drifted off to sleep. That was back in 1972.
Love this one so far! The creepier the better! I also remember these from the 70's, along with literal record albums of Alfred Hitchcock narrating his Alfred Hitchcock Hour stories! I'd sit inside my walk-in closet w/portable record player, for those😆😆
I remember coming back one night from a family trip, and my dad found one on the radio. We were able to listen to most of it before we lost the signal. Good ol' AM radio !

Also study on the angels I try to find CBS Radio Mystery Theater episodes that are not evil are scary. There's only a few. It's funny how there's truth to every one of them from Aliens to technology. We are living in the last days Alva moon and stars and everything are aligned what does second coming of Christ. Dr. Gene Kim Dr Peter Ruckman for anyone who is looking for truth. Listening from Rochester New York a town called Hilton. Only a sinner saved by grace a country girl
Earl Hammond, known to us 80s kids as the voice of Mumm-Ra from Thundercats is in a bunch of these. I'm not 100% sure, but I believe he is the telephone man, in this one.

Same here. 1974 for me. I was four and can still hear the opening music. Scared me so much. Now though it's just a great childhood memory.
