A Comprehensive Look At Interactive And Character Wand Replicas At Ollivanders In Diagon Alley!

- After making a brief video about this a couple years ago, I decided to finally head back into the incredibly detailed (and cramped) Ollivanders wand shop in Diagon Alley at Universal Studios Florida. I unboxed and showed every character wand, both interactive and replica alike, as well as explaining the Celtic Calendar wands and how they correspond to specific months depending on the birthday (or other significant date) of the person seeking a wand to purchase. I tried to be as detailed as possible, from wand prices ($44 for noninteractive and $50 for interactive) to specific characters represented (and whether they were available as interactive or not). I hope you enjoyed this video, as I've been wanting to put it together for a long time, and it took almost 3 hours to figure out everything I wanted to mention and thought was relevant for the video. The parks may not have had the FB wands at the date the video was made. I first saw them at Universal in December of 2018 and was able to get Newts' wand. As of December 2019; they still do not have Seraphina Picquarys' wand.
I want to get chosen for the interactive show at Ollivanders but at the same time I know my wand wood and core from Pottermore so I feel like I’d be upset if the actor listed different things for the one that ended up choosing me. My wand is Rowan wood, unicorn hair core, 13 3/4 inches, surprisingly swishy. And I’m a Hufflepuff.

The Pottermore tests hardly correspond to your personality since it's based on random questions.
Lucas Vasconcelos perhaps, but it just so happens that i got a wand wood and core that I identify with. And I’ve known I was a Hufflepuff long before Pottermore told me.
Mine is an Ebony wood wand with a Unicorn hair core, 13 ¼" and Unbending flexibility. And I'm a Gryffindor.
Macy Allen my Ollivanders wand and my pottermore wand are different but it's is sooo worth it if you get chosen. It's a great experience. But they will both probably describe your personality

Is there any shape difference between the interactive and non-interactive wands? Like maybe the interactive wands are less pointy or something?
I would have an Elder wand based on my birthday but my wand on Pottermore is pear wood with a dragon heartstring core 12 3/4" slightly yielding...also a Hufflepuff, also knew before Pottermore and like 5 different tests confirmed 😅

I kind of wish they just had a place to stand or a button to push and there's some flashy lights and sounds and one of the random wands on the shelf is pushed out by mechanics behind the shelf and that's how you get your wand. Unless the shop guy picks you for she show.

Do you mean the interactive experience? The wandkeeper chooses one from the group, usually always a child, and hands them different types of wands and instructs them what to do with it, finally resulting in the wand that "chooses" them. They can buy that wand or go into the actual merchandise shop to choose one they like better (a character wand, interactive wand, one that corresponds to a birthday or anniversary, etc.). So there's no pressure at all, it's just an experience that empties into the gift shop.
Guys, if you don't like the wand that was linked with your birthday, that's ok. According to the workers in the shop, your wand is also what fits your personality. So let's say that you're a sensitive person, that means that your wand is the Ollivander's Original Elder Wand.

They’re more water resistant I believe. You can probably use it in a light rain but I wouldn’t dunk it under water or anything, haha.
