What’s amazing about the Clippers this year is how all of their main stars have been healthy and playing for most of the season compared to the last couple of years.

These Clippers feel like an evolution of the 97 Rockets and also like the NBA's first homecoming team with all these California boys of the same age getting together for one good run for their home state.
A lot of people are asking “why aren’t the clippers getting talked about” well it’s because these 3 aren’t judged for what they do in the regular season. Do to ring culture, it’s all about what they do in the playoffs.

@@Maxjuliannsince KD left, Russ has had playoff shooting splits of 39/30/78 and has averaged 4.6 turnovers. But stats aren’t everything as they don’t show how ass he was on defense for most of those years. Russ is one of my favorite players but he’s not a good playoff performer
I'd love to see Westbrook get a ring! I've never been a huge Harden fan, but I appreciate him much more now that he has learned to be more team-oriented. I'm really liking this team. Plus, I like the idea of a bunch of hometown heroes coming home to give this team it's first championship. It would be a great story!
Harden is my favorite player and there has been a false narrative about him for years. He has always been unselfish he just never had much help. He led in assist in 2017 and most years he is top 3. However this is the best team he’s ever had and everyone willing to sacrafjce makes this team incredible to watch.
Kawhi is the silent Alpha of this team.

The top four seeds in the West are equally balanced!! Two very young teams and two teams with a lot of experience in the league with both having championship experience too!! Can’t wait for the spring!!
Years ago, if someone were to tell me that Kahwi, PG, Westbrook, and Harden all ended up on the same team I’d have laughed and said they were just tripping on 2k.
A lot of these dudes are so central to the 2010s that it makes me happy seeing this team do so well in spite of their age.
Andy Hoops is hands down the best NBA CZcamsr. Been a fan since 2018. I just recently started watching CZcams again and was glad Andy is still making great videos.

That squad had ZERO defense, while this Clippers squad is slightly below the top 10. That team had Steve Nash past his prime (who was never a good defender, but his offense no longer overcame the D), Antawn Jamison, Jodie Meeks, and Steve Blake getting HUGE minutes (similar to the 2022 Lakers having washed up Melo (never a good defender, but what I said about Nash rings true for Melo in purple and gold), Malik Monk, Wayne Ellington, and past their prime versions of Ariza, DeAndre Jordan, Avery Bradley, and Kent Bazemore getting big minutes), while this team's two best players are still really good defenders while Amir Coffey is a pretty good three and D off the bench. Outside of the Nuggets they should beat anyone in the west (Minnesota has players who continuously disappoint in the playoffs like KAT and Rudy and OKC is just YOUNG), while in the east the Celtics are their biggest threat (Bucks D has gone way downhill after Budenholzer got fired, Embiid also disappoints in the playoffs, Knicks and Cavs don't have the star power the Clippers have, etc.). This is probably the Clippers' best chance at a title since 2021, when they had a STRONG chance of winning if Kawhi was healthy (the Jazz that year were like the 14-15 Hawks). 2020, if they beat the Nuggets, was still questionable as the Lakers had probably the most complete team in the league that year with LeBron and AD surrounded by athletic bigs (creating a strong pick and roll game with AD, Dwight, and Javale McGee), shooters, and defenders (KCP and Danny Green were probably the best three and D players that year, while Caruso was a great hustle player on D). It wouldn't have been unreasonable for them to still win it all with no bubble as they picked apart both the Bucks and Clippers shortly before lockdown. The way this Clippers team has come out of nowhere against bad teams like the Nets and Pistons is similar to the Warriors dynasty teams and the Kobe/Pau Lakers repeat teams (the 09-10 season Kobe was super clutch). Winning games when you are playing not even close to your best effort is the sign of a legit contender.

I was a huge doubter and thought that this was one of the worst trades in NBA history. Somehow they got it all figured out. It was never about the talent, it was all about the fit. This team made it fit together nicely.

@@sting114 Those are some bad ones but they are not the worst. The Wolves are the best team in the west by record. The Lakers trading for 39 year old nash, giving up all those first round pics was pretty bad. They didn't even get the worst end of it. Bynum going to the 76ers with his bad knees was probably the worst trade that I can think of.
Philly got screwed and they only had themselves to blame for it. Everyone knew Bynum had a history of knee problems and that the Lakers, who were high on him, were shipping him out to get Dwight Howard with a bad back. That should have been a huge red flag to the 76ers GM

I, as many, thought they were the team to beat this season because of Lillard. But when I learned how bad their defense has gotten, coming from one of the top defensive teams up until last season, i'm sure they aren't getting far in the playoffs, no matter how dominant they manage to be in the regular season. Favorable match ups will only get them so far, but put them against the Celtics or even the Heat if they get better, and it's guaranteed that will be the end of their playoff run.

There are several players around the league who are really hitting their stride or getting a second wind. Westbrook and Harden are two. KP being another. Why? Because they’re legitimately enjoying the game again. They’re having fun which is leading to great performances.
I’m not the worlds biggest fan of either Westbrook or Harden, but it’s awesome seeing them enjoying playing. And for so, so long the Clips have been teaming never reaching their potential, and as an Aussie I’m genetically bred to root for the underdog.
The real X factor for the Clippers is not George, nor Harden or Westbrook; it's "healthy Kawhi".
As a raptors fan I clearly remember that 2019 playoff run. It was incredible. It was like seeing MJ playing again. I think his performances were underestimated only because he played for toronto

You know how back in school when you wanted to work with your friends on a group project but you knew you wouldn't be able to stay on topic and get work done, well this is the opposite of that. The LA Clippers core are friends and they are getting their work done!
Rebounding is a main concern for the Clippers and if their rebounding doesn't get much better , they'll probably have a very difficult 31 games in the remainder of this season ! Major changes corrections and adjustments on defense and controlling their rebounding edge must be made !

easy answer, theyre past their primes but the IQ & experience for their stars are top notch, they got 2 former MVP, finals MVP and Mvp runner up. Why is the comment section full of people saying “See! Told you the Clippers could do it!” Bruh, they haven’t done ANYTHING yet. A lot of season left, and then there’s the postseason, where only one of their guys has a history of performing well….when he’s healthy. The Clippers became deadly and scary because of the addition of true point guard name James Harden. Also PG not getting enough credit for accepting point role the whole 4 years with Kawhi. He embraced the point doing his offense and defense respectively 💪
