- Yes, I now pay my kids to do their homeschool work! We have been homeschooling for 13 years but this is all new! We now have contracts and I am treating homeschool like a job for both myself and our children and it has been WONDERFUL!

We do something similar but my kids are little so we have a homeschool store which is named after our homeschool 😄 They can earn a star at the end of each school day IF they do all their work with their best effort. On Fridays they can shop the store and cash in their stars. They can earn extra stars if they do extra reading on their own 😁 It works so well!!
This sounds great! I have never heard of this. It sounds very motivating. It makes sense....my dad would reward us with money for our report cards growing up.
Ok this is sun a fun concept. I pay my kids to do chores around the house and they THRIVE on it - often asking to do more work so they can make more money. It teaches such great foundational ideas around work ethic!

My son 6 soon to be 7 has been trying to save up money to buy himself a nerfgun or a dinosaur, an action figure, whatever and he has been so so depressed that he is too young to earn money because like you, we don't pay for chores and finding loose change isn't that easy nowadays. I might just have hit the jackpot with your video because yes he is too young to work in the real world but he might not be too young to work on his reading a little harder😊 haha this is great, thank you for sharing!

I love this sooooo o much!!!!!! I have considered paying my son to write. Because in the real world, you'd be paid if you're a great writer and right now, that is his greatest strength (creativity wise)! And at the same time, he could use more practice. I love this!!!
