Baby fish are called FRY. Some are VERY small. And they grow rather quickly to match the appearance of an adult (just a bit smaller)
Minnows are a type of small fish that are actually fully grown. (And bc I know someone is thinking it, Guppies are also a type of small fish)
Depends on the stage of the fish they go from eggs to Alvin to Fry then to adult fish

But also since the *ALEVIN* stage or *"SAC FRY"* (yolk-sac *fry* ) is almost just a transitory phase (newly hatched fish babies, with the yolk sac still attached, once the yolk is absorbed it becomes a true fry)
