    Hey! From India! Currently designing a turbo kit for Harley Davidson motorcycle! Loved the video. I don't have a dyno, however I also start with low timing, like 1deg per psi. Then road tune the acceleration with 2deg increments. Acceleration values and knock sensor events from log is how I do it. And i agree same set up on different engines responds differently to timing! Always wondered why is that, may be ring gap, or something else

      I have heard both sides on knock sensors. And from what I have gathered knock sensors work good if you are factory computer/car because they are tuned for the car, but for holley they can be tuned but it seems difficult to trust. Maybe a future topic but would be interested in your opinion on the value of knock detection and specifically on holley.

    • @JoeSimpsonAtTempest
      @JoeSimpsonAtTempest  Před 3 lety

      @@Nickyb801 yes knock sensors do more harm that good for most people when not in a factory ecu. That’s a tough one to cover as a lot of experience is involved. And in my opinion, still requires a dyno - it’s more of a keep it safe after the fact type of thing. I know others may view it a bit different but that’s my take on it
