Mma fighters have a bunch of different strategies they can use to wear their opponent out (grappling, leg strikes, etc).     Pick and Roll get other players involved, because Lebron is a passer, he used it to breakdown the defense to get easy shots for his teammates. Kobe is a one on one player and the triangle plays to his strength. The styles can’t be compared. You can be in awe of Kobe being a one man army, but you can also be in awe of Lebron making all positions on the court dangerous, making him the general of the army. Lebron one man army performances in the playoffs are legendary as well.

    For context.... Bron wants the PnR not only to wear down defenders and get mismatches, but the main thing is he can also set up (assist) his teammates being that he's an all time great passer. Kobe played in the Triiangle for majority of his career. KB was masterful at iso, but the Triangle offense didn't require a lot of PnR's. Bron is just as good at iso ball, it just obviously looks different b/c he's mainly goin' to the cup when Mamba pulled up for the midrange majority of the time.
    Btw, Prince did one of the best jobs of defending Kobe I've ever seen in the 04 Finals.

      So true. However, that season they got rid of Larry Brown and brought in Flip Saunders. Larry had them playing to their strength by design which is defense. Flip changed it. I believe if Larry was still their coach Detroit would've beat Cleveland.
