HELP IM STUCK IN THE “HOW ITS MADE” VORTEX
NOOooooooo...
Same ..
Ahhhhhhh...Help me!...cant escape
Me too
Aren’t we all
CrypticOTB IDK I can go
back
I was lucky enough to work at this facility (numans cookie co.) as an engineer back in 1987. Glad to see its still operating beautifully. When we were testing / perfecting the creamy center nozzles we would hold our mouths to the opening and yell "let it rip Jonny" and get a huge blast of cream. Those were the best days of my life!
That's a lovely story I wish I could have been there
That wasn't cream and that stuff came from a dude named johnny
Hahaha that’s awesome 🤣🤣
Pause
Pause hold our mouths to the opening and get a huge blast of cream😏
now i wanna see how they clean these machines
Oh yea
They never lol
How do you make the icing/glaze
@@codygreiner5397 milk +powdered sugar atleast that's a homemade version
I can't remember if it's either confectioner's or powdered sugar but go with powdered :>
@@codygreiner5397 nvm i think you meant the filling, in that case look up a frosting recipe
Anyone else think it’s astonishing how these machines are even created?
Yes, that'll be me.
Natural evolution, people slowly add more efficient parts to a process, a interesting thing to think about
I do and also the cookie first looked doughy
You can thank the big brained Mechanical, Electrical and Electronics Engineers who designed these machines. Most of them work via Pneumatic systems controlled by electronics circuits.
One more pun and I'm jumping off a cliff
So you're on the edge huh?
Anthony Ight ima head out
Are you ore-ok?
It's okay I find them very Punny.
ᴘᴀʀᴛʏ ʀᴏᴄᴋᴇʀꜱ Annie ore-ok?
Thank you for teaching me how to make offbrand oreos
Wdym?
Avneet Basra off-brand? that’s basically how Oreos are made even if their off brand
Then that means the Oreo company does something very.....
Secret.
Oreos were actually the off brand for another company!
Fun fact Oreos are on offbrand of a Swedish cookie brand
I suppose you weren’t able to get the rights to say “Oreo”
Oreo didn't pay enough for the publicity...
Well the factory was Newman’s own or whatever so not an Oreo
Fr0stBiTe I know right it literally says it on the cookies OrEo
ShangLawFirm Shang it literally says on the final package Newman’s own
ShangLawFirm Shang 4:40
I would be fired from this job. I wouldn't be able to stop myself from eating a cookie off the line or die of diabetes in a year.
I think after eating them for a day you would be sick of them.
🤣🤣🤣🤣
I would die while eating cookies at the production line, and my last words will be “No regrets...!”
dying very pleased.
You'd quickly start to hate oreos
No one:
Discovery: *sandwich cookies*
same bro
Y r they called sandwich cookies I thought they were called Oreos
@@EliteGaming232 Oreos are a brand of sandwich cookies. It's like calling tissues - Kleenex, bandages - Band-Aids, or lip-balms - Chapsticks.
Emmanuel Castro I already do

Every time he calls a cookie a biscuit the American in me silently screams
I didn't hear anyone call any cookie biscuit, these are just regular biscuits
Jiaming Li *anger*
Jiaming Li if you are British then don’t even bother commenting because it’s annoying

Don’t disrespect us Brits
It's crazy how the cookies move so fast without getting damaged
2:00 - Just by watching the video in slow-mo, you can tell that the machine cranks out 4 rows of 25 cookies every second, so it's really more like 5,000 per minute. Much more impressive.
It's possible that the machine isn't always running so they give an average over a longer period of time

Andrew Moon unless an issue with the machinery happens, they do indeed run constantly for days at a time.

As someone who was born in South-East Asia, but grew up in Australia, I use both terms depending on the exact type of confection. I tend to call chewier ones cookies (like chocolate chip cookies), while ones that have a drier/crumblier texture are biscuits. Both cookies and biscuits can be "sandwiches", depending on the outer halves.
“They called it a cookie sandwich, idk why,it still looks like a”

Hows It Made is my childhood hero, I still watch the show til this day. I dont know but it's so informative and relaxing at the same time. The man's voice is a big contributor to the series success ❤️❤️
Dunking biscuits in your tea, or indeed, cookies in your milk, is a tasty tradition. And whoever started it, must have been one smart cookie.
Who else is high eating Oreos wondering how are they made?
um wtf yes
Yupp
😂😂😂
No cap
No cap I am too
I like how they're organized to be put together correctly, but I sometimes get oreos with the tops or bottoms facing opposite😂.
Are we gonna ignore the fact it says "Newman-os?"
Right!
NO
i couldnt read what it said
Nope
Must be one of em off brands eh? Or maybe thats how it is over there.
Knowing the cookies are separated by flat side up/flat side down, and is done by machine, would explain why sometimes you get a sandwich cookie with the cookies in the wrong orientation
Funny how the cookies go through all that without breaking & I drop the pack once and all the cookies break! 😂
4:16, someone is gonna open their Oreos and be PISSED!
Ohhhh, thats unlucky
Looking through the comments and wondering if people know that Oreos aren't the only brand of sandwich biscuits
It's not even the original brand; it's a rip-off (albeit more popular version) of Hydrox.
Ikr people are saying "Do YoU MeAn OrEoS" like no oreos is just a popular sandwich cookie brand.🙄
I know that lel
Hydrox are so much better
Once I had a whole row of Birthday Cake Oreos with the top cookie on backward. I guess the machine was having an existential crisis that batch.
Biscuits, cookies, whatever you like to call it, we can all agree they’re delicious
Didn't say how the cream was specifically made
Dakota Dingo trade secret
Dakota Dingo bruh
Vanilla? That's what I've always thought.
dragonman9001 i get it
dragonman9001 thanks chris
Amazing how these machines are built
I once heard a british guy call oreo's chocolate sandwich biscuts and I am fully aware why the revolutuonary war needed to happen
I keep thinking about how fun it must be to be one of the chocolate cookies going through all the conveyors
Anyone else notice how upon packaging there was one missing in a pack.
Im not sure how I typed 11:14 but its actually 4:14.
oops
@@wallecoyoty Just manually counted, all the rows have 11 biscuits as intended at 4:14 ?
Inflation
yes i did lol
An unlucky Karen is about to get that pack of Newman-O's.
I don’t think a single person typed in “how sandwich cookies are made”
Oreo wasn't the first company to make that biscuit/Sandwich, they were just the most common / popular brand. (They also wouldn't of had the right to say it for copyright reasons.)
well...
@@brokenchannel7683 okay we didnt ask for a history lesson. He just said we all searched oreos

"idk why" why did that line just kill me?
“The mechanical fingers separate them into bunches of eleven.”
Me: “We were this close to perfection.”
i feel you just one number off
Called that because of taxes on baked goods, so instead they were classified as sandwiches instead to get a loophole.
What impresses me most about these how to videos is that someone designed a machine that literally does everything all on one conveyor belt.
Actually what you’ve watched is the work of at least 4 machines
Didn't realize Newman's Own had their own cookies. Thanks for the video.. learn something new every day!
Ah yes, the sandwich cookie. My favorite treat after a long day of hard work
If the factory was THIS dirty the day they knew the film crew was coming, can you imagine what it normally looks like
@R
That thought occurred to me too. Especially when you see those huge fans right above the cookies and the chocolate crumbs on the machines.
This is so much more intricate than I thought it would be
Day 3 of my descent into How It's made. I've barely eaten or worked and nothing but the next video makes life worth it. I cannot get out. please someone rescue me.

Cookie sandwich?
COOKIE SANDWICH!

Oreo fans: that is not oreo.
Discovery: a sandwich cookie it a sandwich cookie.
Both are correct
I enjoy this channel. Among all the how [insert food here] is made videos, there's the one about crayons and they look pretty delicious too.
hands down the best narrator voice for how it's made
0:52 "a pre-mix of salt and other ingredients follows."
My brian: "WHAT OTHER INGREDIENTS?! BLEACH? CHEMICALS?"
"Umm... so...I fed my dog a few oreos...."
1:45 when i was young I had a job cleaning stables. That image took me back.

Great for ice cream

I don't get why they only have 3.11 M subscribers. They should have like 6 M subs. The channel has a lot of videos that are very interesting. Also, they update frequently.
I didn't imagine having a shovel of dough thrown past someone's head was part of the process.
They look like they aren't as stingy with the cream filling as Oreo.
