  • I recently got the Garmin mk2i and first impressions out of the box I was super disappointed. The factory settings puts the screen at 20% brightness which is really dim and almost unreadable. I changed it to 100% in and out of dive mode and I couldn't be happier with it.
The Teric's screen is an AMOLED display with a sapphire crystal glass
The MK2I's screen is an MIP LCD display with a sapphire crystal glass.
The MIP LCD (memory in pixel liquid crystal display) looks much better in full sunlight conditions and literally can be read at any angle.
I will be doing a full side-by-side comparison of these 2 powerhouse dive computers so you can have the necessary information if your looking to purchase one of these.
The screen on the MK2i is the same as the fenix series and the forerunner. Garmin consistently uses these MIP LCD screen as they are best for outdoor use. Most of the garmin watches are for outdoor hikers, runners, and general outdoor enthusiasts so its nice surprising they would stick to this same display, it just works.
I would appreciate if you can drop a like and subscribe as it helps out my channel.
