Amjad Ali Khan was born into a musical family and has performed internationally since the 1960s. He was awarded India's second highest civilian honor, the Padma Vibhushan, in 2001. This is a very sweet Raag and resembles the Carnatic Music Raag Hans-Shri. This track is from the album Portrait of a Legend which is a culmination of the best tracks by the maestro.
