What do you think of the iPhone 14 Pro (and its new features)?
Dynamic Island is cool to interact with - cognitive ergonomics - makes it fun. Photo quality is a bit better than 13 pro- and comparable to S22 ultra.
But I am into IOS 😄- have the 13 mini as a backup phone, 12 pro as main and now the 14 pro

The dynamic fingerprint magnet camera sensor, is Apple's attempt to hide how complacent Apple has become and to distract from the dated thick bezels. Also don't be surprised if the dynamic fingerprint camera sensor is here to stay for 5 years.
Reviewers talk about iPhone features as if there are no other reviews available on the internet 🤷♂️ perhaps some uniqueness in reviews would be good 🤔
I buy this one I have a old iPhone XS Max (10) the 256 gb change the batery 2 time and on new app it is hot and slow on new games
Was considering 14 Pro Max 256gb to get ProRes 4K support to try it out but DAMN, almost 1600 EUR is ridiculous amount for a phone. When phones were reaching that "magic" barrier of 1000 EUR it was already getting funky. But this just does not make sense anymore.

Your videos have such a fun and calming vibe that I always look forward to them. Keep on making great content without worrying about being the first to publish, e.g. the iPhone review. Creating content with love like this makes me always want to watch your videos regardless of when they are uploaded. Kinda reminds me of that one Spongebob episode where he was competing against Neptune to make the best hamburgers. Neptune made a lot that all tasted bad, whereas Spongebob made one really nice burger ㅋㅋㅋㅋ
On Samsung, you can view notification details with the always on display. It’s been that way forever. Go to settings, Lock Screen, then notifications. Click the notifications button and switch to details. There are other features with the always on display as well.
@Kaylene Bourne What do you mean? I can still only see the little circle icon of the app that sent the notification on the AOD, nothing more.
@@kalooniee actually we have multiple choices...we can see the icon, we can tap those and see the summary or full notification, then dismiss from there and back to AOD, or use the Good Lock feature where a separate notification widget-like ARROW will display all full notifications in a group setting. I am not sure what you are (not) trying to find. 😛

Someone does not understand the point, can somebody provide the link to the next video about notifications on Samsung please? He only understands videos, not comments or ideas. 😛
@@tomashi_AXL You may need to configure your device notifications properly. I can see a summary or detailed info on the pop-up that comes up, on the AOD screen or the Home screen.
This is so cool :). I like your breakdown. I felt like this is how I would use the phone if I were to get it and you made me want to consider the phone more not just for the dynamic island but for the new iOS features too. A lot to think about 🙂
I've watched so many videos of the 14 Pro, but you've still somehow managed to point out things about it that the other videos missed, like the always on display not being customizable but also turning off when the phone is shut down

AOD does display notification if you set it up. Also on the Note 10+ there is a light that circles the camera to let you know you have a notification which is cool.

It's great, but I will still stick to my iPhone 12 Pro. It's still very usable and the improvements of the iPhone 14 Pro isn't worth getting a new phone for now. The processor would probably be the biggest upgrade for me because I don't take too many photos, need a brighter screen in sunlight, and the dynamic island isn't that big of a reason to upgrade.
If you came from a iPhone 11 Pro or older though, the upgrades would be worth it in my opinion (especially 5G).

I agree i was going to upgrade my 12 to the 14. However when I went to apple even the employee talked me into upgrading to the 13. It’s $100 less and it’s the same exact thing just a few “bug fixes”. So I got the pink one a week ago and im sticking to it for a while.

I have the 13 pro max from 11 pro max (what I gave to my son) and I am very happy with it. It also runs with ios16 so the main difference is only this dynamic island, which is not that big of a deal to me 💁♀

Thank you so much for showing a front facing camera comparison. I think the autofocus addition was a bit overhyped this year. The S22 resolves skin tones a lot better-maybe Android devices in general tend to do so lately. Also, I saw you were listening to LE SSERAFIM, neat!

Nice review!!! Love it! The only thing is: I'm really interested in the microphone quality. I noticed only a few reviewers spend attention to this. While sound quality in video is maybe even more important then image quality. Ella, what is your verdict about the mic quality?
The Dynamic Island seems like a cool idea but I still prefer the hole punch camera of my Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra. Ella's unboxings and reviews are always the best.
Better screen to body ratio is always ideal aesthetically, but they need to put the IR sensors for Face ID somewhere. If it was just a simple camera like on the S22 then of course that could fit into a single holepunch.
@@User-cb4jm true, but because of that when you're watching something like videos in youtube the dynamic island kinda takes up some more space because it's moved lower
@Hasan Piker Face ID is much worse than fingerprint ID. I have ip12 and it is unreliable compared to fingerprint i had on my pixel

@Hasan Piker Eh I like fingerprint better because I'm able to unlock it easily while it's laying flat while I'm in class or something, but everything else about the 14 is great so I'll put up with it

I switched to the iPhone 13 Pro Max from a s21U I’m so happy with it

I have experienced a lot of software bugs with this phone especially with theirs party apps, iMessage with recipient and even stock camera app crashing while taking a video. While this a major upgrade from 12mini , I’ve never experience such a disarray of bugs with a new iPhone.

Dinamic Island now adds a balck bar on top of any video or pic, that cannot be resized or visually be dismissed since it is not in the very far edge now. 😛

Did you forget that in Android you can change the music wherever you are just by pulling down notification panel? It's the feature from 10 years ago.
And NO you don't need to go back to the home screen widget to do that.
And that Always On Display with a dim wallpaper, i would like to see you turn that on and see the battery life versus the one that the always on Display is off, i bet its a battery drainer especially it shows wallpaper too
Another great video as always but according to apple the screen can actually go down to 1hz not just 10hz. Could be wrong as information is always abundant. I get my 14pm in space black thursday and cant wait to try it out. Also looking forward to the s23 series. Currently using s22 ultra and sold my 13pm. Ella, I know you dont do them much but could you compare if possible the beats fit pro vs airpods pro. I prefer the look and style of the beats and color options since airpods only come in white. Love hummix cases I got my wife the deep purple iphone 14pm with the purple hummix case and it is an amazing fit. I got myself the black one and the esr black kickstand case. I think the AOD on the iphone is a good implentation however i like androids a little more and yes while most of the screen is black on android i think it saves pixels and uses way less energy since its not just a dimmed version of the lock screen. Im glad to see apple trying to innovate some pleasant software features that android has had for years, i just wish for me that they would get rid of the arbitrary app placement like on ipad os to place apps anywhere, universal back swipe and maybe swiping down to bring down the tools menu from anywhere and not just the top of the display.

I just got this phone because I had the iPhone XS and I needed an upgrade. the storage was full and battery would die so quickly. I got the 14 pro in 512gb and it was cheaper then when I got the iPhone XS in 256 GB. I really like the iPhone 14 because it is a big upgrade coming from the XS

In the UK the 14 pro is £1099 which is just crazy and more expensive than the US version which is at $999 I believe. £1099 is equivalent to $1257!
Yeah I get it… I have the 12 Pro Max and thinking about selling it to buy the 14 Pro since its smaller. I live in the channel islands near uk and got VAT off so would be paying £915 ($1023)
Really liking this phone, although I must say. Those black bezels are still massive compared to samsung and other androids. Makes the screen look and feel smaller
Yeah. I really feel like Iphones overall are better phones, but im a huge consumer of youtube videos and video content to the point where I can't justify switching from my s22 ultra, even though mostly I'd like to do that. That and a few other things are keeping me from iphone. I wish there was a squared off iOS phone with a pen like the s22 ultra. I don't want a notch at all. Dynamic island is better, but still feels like it's from 2014.

Apple is still "squeezing the tooth paste" despite the new chip and dynamic island.
Instead of touching the dynamic island we can simply pull the notification toggle which is much easier and we can customize (android ) it as well 😆.. DI is just a gimmick

i didnt bother, i just sold my 13 pro max (sick of size and weight) and got the 13 pro instead, the price in the UK for the 14 pro and the updates it got didnt feel like it was worth upgrading to.
