I love my 2021 RTL. I can mount my wheelchair on the back and I've also converted to a handbrake to make it accessible.
Thanks for all you do for the community
Thank you so much my friend. I really appreciate this!!!!!👍👍👍👍👍
I watch a lot of motorcycle reviews on CZcams. None compare to yours. Very methodical and complete. Keep up the great work.
It's always important to evaluate needs vs wants when choosing a Spyder; after all, they're not inexpensive and you do want bang for your buck. I wanted premium comfort as it was going to be my first ever motorcycle (of my drems😉) so that's one of the reasons i chose the Sea-to-Sky. I also liked the classic look of the Mystery Blue color and the exclusive wheels that came with it. So Coach, after all your review of the RT, just go out andbuy that motorcycle of your dreams! CoachVic will love it! Cheers!
Nice review Coach. I predict that after this trial period, you will end up with the 2024 Can-Am RT Limited Sea-to-Sky. You were so pumped up about the new features and color of the 2024 model. I've had people sit on my Sea-to-Sky and the seat was the most impressive thing. Just because you can, you can take off the Top Box and install the back panel on for a sportier look.
Sea-to-Sky, accept no substitute. 😉
For the Channel I can definitely see why you picked the base model. In 2021 the difference in price on the RTL vs Sea to Sky wasn't worth it for me. Plus I hate the color Green 😒. I've got a little over 15,000 miles on my 21' RTL Marsala Dark Edition now, even though I haven't rode that much this year unfortunately due to work. I'm so glad BRP is letting you do this ,you are probably the best Spyder ambassador to date.
Thanks so much for this comment. I am humbled by your kind words!!!

👍👍👍👍👍👍
Can’t wait to see you Guys in Deland. Getting very Excited for the Road Warrior Rally.
We are getting excited as well. I love going to Deland and visiting with old and new friends. We Look forward to seeing you!!!👍👍👍
Hey Ironman, I heard that chuckle as you past that cyclist….I’m sure you were reminiscing about how many times you had logged those miles. Great video, keep up the good work.
Oh, that's a beautiful Spyder RT!!
Thanks for the video Coach. As an owner of a Sea to Sky, I can say this, it IS the motorcycle of your dreams. Follow your dream 😅
I do like the look of the Spyder with the rear cowl installed, but we haven’t removed the top case as of yet. We typically have too much stuff with us. Stay safe.
Right on!!!!👍👍👍👍👍
I love my 2022 Blue RTL. Can’t lie though I’m eyeing that 2024 Sea to Sky. Lol
Hi Bob, I have owned a 2015 RTS, a 2017 F3S, and now a 2020 RT Limited. All 3 were so different to ride. The 2015 RTS, which is not that dissimilar to your 2019, was by far the worst handling of the 3. Even with a better swaybar and Elka shocks, it still wandered a lot. Very comfy to ride on long kms.
The 2017 F3S had a swaybar upgrade, but only the rear shock upgraded to Wilber as it had a body mounted tow hitch. It handled the corners unreal, and far superior acceleration than my other two.
My 2020 RT LTD handles way better than the 2015, and that is stock standard, no suspension upgrades. It is the best to ride of the 3 Spyders I have owned. I tour a bit, with one big trip every year. This year I did 7000km on a Trip to Tasmania on the F3S, towing a trailer. It was ok, but not the right machine for that purpose. Strange enough, the 2020 RT LTD I know own, came on the trip with me. For health reasons the previous owner had to sell it, so I bought it from them. I really like the newer style RT to ride.
As for your comment in the video about buying a base model RT in other countries, here in Australia, since 2020, the base RT, and the F3T, have not been available. Also, we get a choice of black, black, or black, across the F3S, F3 LTD, and the RT LTD. The Sea to Sky comes in whatever that years colour is. Although, not many 2023 S2S made to Australia, with many dealers still selling their 2022 stock at present.
As for Vicki and the Arm rests, try them out. My daughter, who is 15 and my regular pillion, did not like them. She found she couldn't grip the hand rails to hold on in the twisties. I also know of a lady that got ejected off the back of an RT when her hubby dodged an Emu, whist she was trying to grip the Arm rests. I also know plenty who love them, including my sister who owns a 2020 RT LTD with her husband.
Keep up the great work mate, and I am loving your videos about trialling the BRP range. I hope you get to try an F3S.
Steve.
I just bought mine two months ago. Absolutely love it.
CONGRATULATIONS!!!👍👍👍
Beautiful color on the RT.
I agree! It is rally sharp!
I test drove a ‘19, but then waited six months for the ability to preorder a 2020 RTL. It is a much better imho look and ride feel. I do not think a different sway bar is needed or warranted on the ‘20+ Spyder as some say. My RTL is a first with me on floorboards and I love them. An RTL is the way to go if you can afford it. Absolute awesome touring machine.
Very helpful to someone about to purchase an RT Limited.
Waving Hello as we pass thru your neck of the woods to JAX
HOWDY!!!!
Think you need to get a new 24 S2S. My wife has a 23 S2S and loves it. It rides like a dream. Better than my 22 RTL. Coach Vic would love it too.
This a very good breakdown of the RT. It gets very confusing for the potential shoppers. I really do feel these type of video help future owners to choose the right bike for them.
Thank ya brother!!
I have 2022 RT (Hyper Silver). Can't wait to see all the modifications to come. I love mine
That panel looks sharp on there!
On my F3 I got a brake extension it was more easy to find it. 😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊
I can see you and Coach Vic on a Sea to Sky! 🤗🤗🤗💜
That would be cool!👍👍👍
That's exactly what I have. I changed out the sway bar and it made a huge difference in handling. It wasn't as twitchy anymore. Time to go for a Saturday ride.
I got the sway bar for mine as well, total game changer.
I own a 2021 and a 2022 Spyder RT Limited. How do you have to drive to feel a twitch? I’m curious because I am not feeling anything abnormal or lacking in performance that is in need of some improvement. I do not use a death grip on my handlebar grips and these bikes ride great and all road speeds, road conditions or with semi truck traffic.
@@heystarfish100 I fully acknowledge that the twitchiness may be mostly my fault. I'm a new rider and found that even the slightest nudge (wind gust, road condition, etc) would grab the Spyder and jerk it to the side. Going around corners would also feel like it was going to throw me off. The BR sway bar made the front end feel "looser" (loose is fast). I did the swap myself. Smooth roads, it does great. Rough and rutty roads, not so much. I've got just under 1200 miles on her now.
Welcome to the next gen Coach. Though I am excited for the 2024 changes
I am too... I may be buying something new in the next year to two.
Your reviews are very informative!
Love it!
Have enjoyed your videos these past few weeks. I ordered a 2024 Spyder Limited which will arrive sometime in March. Hopefully the snow will be gone living in Buffalo NY. I am coming from a Harley Davidson two wheel Ultra Limited motorcycle. This year marks Forty years of riding. Been a nice bike but at 63 and bad knees I believe I made the right choice. I test rode the Harley Davidson trike and in my option had NO fun factor. I did test ride a 2022 Spyder Limited approximately 40 miles and realized it will take sometime getting used too. Looking forward to watching more of your videos hopefully the winter will go by fast. FYI I am 6'4" and 350 pounds. I ordered the 2024 RT Limited with the following accessories : Adjustable Handlebar (2" movement) Drivers Backrest, LED low center front light, Tall adjustable Touring Windshield . Hoping my configuration was the right choices . Any input is always welcomed. I am planning on doing lots of practicing in parking lots and I live in an area with lots of semi-country roads. Thank You again CoachBob3 for your Great videos ! Burt
Good luck with your Spyder! God bless, Rob
Thanks for another great video!
Nice , thanks for sharing
I love your videos
😊👍🏻
Another great video and very informative....thanks Coach
Another great review coach . Cheers Steve
If you remeber, I warned you not to ride one unless you were prepared to buy. Now you know how different and as far as I'm concerned, better, the new style is over the older Spyders. It seems you are impressed. Ryde on!
😊Great video. I always enjoy your videos.
I’m really interested to see your conclusions. As I’ve said before, I’m about to look for my next Spyder and some have said to try the F3 but I like the look of the RT better.
Looking good CB3!
Thank ya sir!!!
Heard alot of people say the latest RTs ride so much better than my 2014 RT(which was the smoothest bike ive had). They were right. I now have about 7000 miles on my '20 RTLtd and it keeps getting better.
So far all of my insights completely align with yours. I will eventually make the change. Based on life...it could be in 24.
Love your videos. Just wanted you to know that we made the upgrade from our 2011 Spyder RT to the 2023 Sea to Sky Shadow Green. 😀🤠. The day after picking it up we rode from Oceanside, CA to Idyllwild, CA. Love the ride and handling. Many thanks for your informative videos. Angela in OceansideCa
Nice review. I bought my 21 petrol blue RT(base) this year. Came with a ton of upgrades. My wife and I are loving it. Enjoying your videos always 👍🏻 God bless
Gorgeous bike ..sounds like butter..😊
You can tell how twisty the roads are around me. I am almost on the tread wear bars on my front tires and I am just under 16K miles! I will be getting all three tires at 18K miles for sure! Sure it costs me more but the roads around make it worth it! (I have an 2021 RTL Spyder, replaced the back tire at 9K miles.)
Good info,,tks ride safe
I love the foot boards on my ‘20 RTL.
I love my 2022 rtl chrome.
What would be nice to know is what it doesn't have compared to the other RT models.
I will be doing that for sure. 👍👍👍👍
Like you said enjoy your self good job coach
I have a 2022 RT which I love, I was a little disappointed the fronk didn’t come with a liner.
Just a quick note, I have the heating element in the seat, some friends of ours after a lot of miles, that heating element protrudes into your fanny. It needs to be flatter and not noticeable.
YIKES...That doesn't sound pleasant. My older RT has the heated seat and it has served me well. I will certainly keep a look out for that issue. Thanks for the information. I appreciate ya watching and commenting.
Nice revue coach. I still prefer the full dresser RT! You make whatever you ride look super fun.
I am really enjoying the ride on the Newer RT. The Limited and Sea to Sky are truly worth the money. You, for sure, could never add the upgrades for the price.
I am glad you're loving your ride!!!!👍👍👍👍
i have an RT limited 2023 Blue and i love it. if you ever come to PA you are more than welcome to check it out.
Hey Coach Bob!! I have a 2010 Can Am Spyder RT and I love it. This is my 2nd Spyder. 2 questions, how are the side view mirrors? They look super small and seem weird. 2nd question with the newer models 2022 and up, do they have a manual transmission version? My RT is manual and I only like the Manual transmission. Let me know!! Talk to you soon and hope to catch up and ride with you and coach vic one day. I'm in Philly
The mirrors work well...using them effectively has seemed a relatively easy transition for me. There have been complaints of vibrations.. I personally haven't experienced any issues with that.
The manual transmission is no longer offered in the Spyder lineup.
Thanks watching and commenting!!!👍👍👍👍
I also thought the shifting was smoother on the 2023's
The redesign is way more than I had imagined it would be. I am loving the ride of the thing.
It is so great to see you on here and commenting. It makes me smile.
@@CoachBob3 awhh...I am grateful to be here and to be able to comment! 🙏🤗💜
i love my F3-T got $$$$ in aftermarket parts .
Reaching out again for your recommendation. What Tire Plug kit do you carry with you on your Can-Am?
I will look when I get home. I am not sure what brand it is. But, it is a standard car tire plug kit and I also carry a Dewalt battery powered compressor.
The S2S is a bit different from the rt and rtl . They have better seats and and a lot of stuff the other sub models don’t. I have a 21 S2S
100% CORRECT...They are the top price for a reason. They are top notch and super duper nice!!!
👍👍👍👍
I keep wondering why they wouldn’t just go to variable assist p/s?
Coach Bob, does that throttle respond better than the old bikes. Or would you still need to put a power command on that new 2023.
I would say the greatest similarity on the old and new models is the throttle mapping. If you want that "snap".. you'll want a pedal commander or something similar. 👍👍👍
So,,, what do you do when its raining, or cold.?
In rain...Raise the windshield..Pull my rain gear out and ride.👍👍👍👍
In cold..I enjoy the heated grips and ride. 👍👍👍👍
!!!!!!
One ? When you go on a 300 to 500 mile trip do you take interstate or backroads? 😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊 Just took My 1 trip from Broussard to Shevport Louisiana 220 miles. 😊😊😊😊😊😊😊
The short answer is...Both! Coach Vic hates the interstate but there are time I need it to get a longer day in. I really prefer the back roads..although at times they can be incredibly rough.
I like the RTL better, not that much more dollars.
I agree...For the factory upgrades... you certainly could not buy them for the price difference.
C4YT = Comment For CZcams
Love the color , but the RT look so ugly without the trunk on the back.
Sorry to go off topic Coach… But do you still use your pedal commander on your current spyder?
And by the way, I do see a newer model, sea to sky in your future😊
