I'm a big hunter in Alaska and I'll eat anything I can get myself. Don't know if they are tasty or not. I've had wild turkeys they are ok but don't know about the other birds.

Makes me feel like I’ve traveled back in time with my dear friend (who has passed on), where we would go throw net, come home clean fish & deep fry or pulehu on a homemade hibachi. Happen to stumble upon your video. I absolutely love the way you respect the environment and the creatures within it. You utilized less desireable fish and make it into a good meal. I'm an avid fisherman here in NY. A lot of fishermen shy away from what they call "bait fish" or "trash fish". To me, they are the tastiest fish in the ocean while the fish that they call prime eating is very bland. There's no such thing as trash fish, just trash cooks! Subscribed from the concrete jungle of NYC!

@@hawaiihammahs I got certified as a scuba diver but never tried spear fishing. I have no one to do it with. There are several spear fishermen where I fish but it's very dangerous! Lots of boat traffic and very heavy current. There's always someone that gets killed by getting smashed into the rocks or get run over by a boat. They usually dive alone. Having said that, the spear fishermen that I usually see get some massive fish such as striped bass and Toutog(blackfish). I used to work as a Biological Tech for the Dept of the Interior and see an ex-marine pull up some massive striped bass. He said the beauty about spear fishing is he gets to choose the size and type of fish he wants as long as it's legal. I'll stick to dry land with my rod and reel. Lol!
