As a young kid I hated the Bruins. I was taught to hate Bobby Orr as there was a Leafs influence in my neighborhood. Growing up 2 things happened. I shed the Leafs as a fan and realize now what a great player Bobby Orr was and what a great franchise the Bruins are as Boston is a fantastic sports town as well. With the Bruins eliminating the Leafs in the first round back in 2011 (much to my delight) and beating the Canucks - another team I despise I had far more respect for Boston.
