  • RFID Domination Timer (DOMINATOR) is device for Airsoft, Paintball sport. It is stopwatch for 2 teams that trying to occupy and hold that point for maximum possible time. Firmware can be extended for 4 teams. Stopwatch have RFID reader NXP RC522 for user entry. Microcontroller used there is open-source hardware platform Arduino Nano. Times are shown on LCD 2 or 4-row character display that is communicating with microcontroller using I2C bus.
In system there are 4 types of cards. Red team cards, Blue team cards, Referee cards, Eraser cards. Referee is able to stop current time of any team via attaching card to reader. Eraser can stop current time and delete both times. Domination Timer is neutral after attaching Referee or Eraser card (it is awaiting RED or GRE card to start counting time).
Normal version have 24 RFID cards, where 10 are used for RED team, 10 for GRE team, 2 for Referee and 2 for Eraser. Cards are stored in PROGMEM flash memory of microcontroller. Version is available only in machine code .hex for Arduino ATmega328P architecture.
In shareware (free) version of RFID Domination Timer you can use any RFID card - one per entity to test whole system. You can measure up to 15 seconds of time for each team. Then you can delete time and count time again... Compatible are RFID tags, cards, wristbands that are under standard ISO/IEC 14443-A (running at 13,56 MHz). Buzzer in this version is not active.
More informations about RFID Domination Timer, schematics, PCB design, machine codes for shareware version of project you can find on its webpage: martinius96.github.io/Airsoft...

This would be great if it would go passed 15 second but just stops at 15 whichever tag is used

Unfortunately no, code is only available in machine code .hex for testing on supported hardware.
Application .ino (source code) is not available for people. Firmware in machine code is available on project's webpage in description.
Feel free to test it with your hardware: martinius96.github.io/Airsoft-DOMINATOR-RFID/en/
