    I couldn't find any valuable information on Sanwa multimeters. Thanks for this nice review and comparison. I'm looking forward to seeing part 2.

    Martin, I've been waiting for years now for this high end dmm review/shootout! Please get your hands on a Hioki DT4282 and give us a review! If you do some searches you will find that there is no video review of this excellent meter. You have done multiple reviews of multimeters utilizing the same brymen chipsets. Hioki makes their own chipsets which I dare say may outperform most other brands. I'm sure your other subscribers and members of your forum as well as your eevblog friends would like to see this as well. I'm crossing my fingers in hopes you will contact Hioki and try to get a review meter... ;)Keep up the good work Martin!

    I have a difficult time checking back ...I need a battery charger that doesn't over heat my batteries.I haven't had any luck finding one in the US do you have any thoughts ? I found one large battery charger it had all the sizes yet didn't rotate the charge to a specification. The battery charges in the store are bad quality. thanks for any suggestions

  • @Ni5ei

    Martin, what's the use of the extra resolution when the value they display is so far apart anyway? At 13'37" the Fluke displays 15.553 while the Sanwa displays 15.5593 and the Amprobe 15.5539.
    As I see it, the last few digits are of no use as long as they're not correct.

    • @mjlorton
      @mjlorton  Před 10 lety +4

      The extra resolution can be very handy even if not accurate. As per my comment below:

    LOL... the Amprobe is a sister company of Fluke (both owned by Danaher)... Sanwa and Hioki are totally separate but definitely Japanese as their plain / austere style but high quality reflect !!!!

    About damm time fluke gets some competition, maybe one of them will splurge and put some real EMI shielding for use in high interference areas.

    Sanwa PC7000 is basically rebranded Brymen BM869. Amprobe AM160 is rebranded Brymen BM859 (older model), thats why its cheaper. Both was made by Brymen. The biggest problem with Brymen is, there brand is not very widely available. Maybe thats why Sanwa (~US$250 here in SEA) and Amprobe rebranded them.
