At $899, the Engwe C20 pro is an amazing deal that will really make a lot of the competition work harder to compete with.
With a 500watt motor that peaks around 850watts, I was averaging on flat terrain about 25-26MPH. This is really good for an ebike with 20"x3" tires. With the added 7 speed gearing on the back to help give a little "human" power to your ride, Engwe claims you can potentially reach 45 miles per charge! I'd say in normal riding conditions, you should expect a minimum of 25 miles on a battery that holds a nice 10ah and puts out 48volts with normal ups and down hills and an average weight of about 150pounds.
The front suspension on this ebike was really soft and comfy. I even thought I might have under inflated the tire in the front when I first went out riding due to how much it absorbed all the bumps of the road.
The C20-Pro will also fit in most standard size trunks when folded and should be a great addition to any family who needs to conserve space without sacrificing performance for a smaller ebike.
Safe Riding!

Expecting mine soon! First E-Bike, excited!
Congratulations on your first ebike! The C20 Pro is a really great ebike for first ebike or even to add as a second ebike for the versatility and performance you get over other ebikes out there that are not foldable or less powerful. Ride safe and I’m sure you’ll have a blast with it!
Ordered yesterday(Oct 20), notified today will be delivered by FedX (Oct 27) from Cal. Thanks you guys for the coupon (total cost:$679). It and the new 500W motor sealed the deal over the Lectric Lite. My parameters: Folded width
I didn't hear him mention a coupon

Only 10ah for 48v, more ah will be great for km range.
Can you compare with c20 pro 250w? Climb Hill...
Can someone please tell me which controller the engwe c20 pro 36v 500w model has I was think of swapping the controller on my engwe c20 pro 250w peak power 500w. I would like my c20 pro to reach 26-27mph. Thanks
can you start the p and ride without key? or the key must be in, while you ride? easy to take it from me, if the key must be in... excuse my bad english :)
I prefer I thumb throttle, wonder if you can change the twist throttle for a thumb throttle ?

Where do I get the 20"x3" tires? unable to locate them on any website. I came across 20" x2.4" tires on Amazon I wonder would they be compatible for the C20?
Maybe, you can contact Engwe official customer service at service@engwe-bikes.com for further assistance
Regarding the tires, per the website, they are puncture resistant.
I would like to share my experience with this bike but specifically with the Engwe Customer Care: I started using this bike and immediately from the first pedal stroke it started making noise in small holes or very small curbs like those small protruding rails for electric gates. In these situations it made a sharp metallic noise, I put it down to the internal battery moving in the compartment. I wrote to Engwe describing with video clips, they advised me to put 3M tape attached to the battery to make it thicker. I did this but the noise is the same, in the end I had it seen by a mechanic and in his opinion it is a fork problem this electric click as soon as you take a cobblestone out of place this metallic noise occurs. In fact, even without the battery, the noise has not disappeared. According to the customer care they told me that the problem is not the bike with shock absorbers and that I can keep the noise which according to them is not a serious thing. Of course I sent 1 photo and 2 video clips to back up my theory, this soap opera had been around for about 8 days. In the end I wrote to PayPal asking to assert my rights, immediately as if by magic the next day they replied saying that they were sorry for this situation and that I could choose whether to replace the fork (which I had asked them before asking PayPal, not receiving their response on the matter) or a refund of 50 euros, on the grounds, however, that I would have had the same noise problem with the new fork. I accepted the fork swap option and hope he gets a bike like yours in video. I understand that they are tools and someone can come out defective, the thing that bothered me (I can support what I'm saying with emails and videos that I sent them and with the famous replies) the difference in addition to the product is seriousness, customer care and organization. Just think that they signed customer care, I pointed out that it is good practice to sign with a name, I later received other emails from them but they have never signed with a name. They still have a lot to learn. I want to clarify that since the arrival of the bike I have covered a total of 23/24 km
Thank you for taking the time to post your experience. Did you get the fork replacement yet? I’d love to know if that fixed your problem. I’m sorry to hear that your experience was frustrating with their support. I spent $3k on an ebike (not an Engwe) that had problems from day one and even when the support was great, it was still frustrating to have an issue with it. Hope the fork replacement fixes the issue, please post the results.
@@EbikeProducts I think I should receive next week , I hope I will keep you posted what will happen. Have nice day.
I bought two of these December 2022. Both Bikes make the same noise in the forks when they rebound. And if you watch the videos of the New X20 it does the same thing. The forks/shocks on the Engwe C20 Pro and X20 make the same noise. Guess they are using cheap components on both models. Go watch this video when Drone Camps rides through the woods. He says it is a loose accessory, but I bet the noise in his video and the noise you and I experienced are one in the same. I wont be paying $1,600 for the X20 because of this. Here is the Video. czcams.com/video/7ldE1BdGEGU/video.html
Not bad commuter for under 1k
Thought about it but decided to go with the bigger brand with apparently better customer service for the first ebike. I went with Lectric. If I get another I might try Engwe
I’ve never had to deal with Engwe customer service, but I have communicated with Lectric’s customer service a few times and got to visit Lectric Headquarters few weeks ago to see that their customer service center. The Lectric Ebike company definitely takes customer service seriously. They have a HUGE room for their call center with a ton of people to handle the calls and e-mails they get from customers. The responses I’ve received for the times I’ve needed them have been very thorough and helpful. Congratulation on becoming an ebike owner! It’s so much fun to own an ebike, and it really can bring new joy into life. Ride safe and have fun!!
Nice review, but you put fenders in oposite ( front/rear), in EU is disponibile 500Watt version 36Volts, but 19.2 Ah ( i bought it), freewheel i changed from 14/28 to 11/28 ( no ghost pedaling at higher speed), front chainring is 46 teeth, also throttle can be adjusted in settings that is not limited by PAS level.
Probably for USA market will be also available 48/16Ah battery , because range extension.
Seriously?!? Did I really put the fenders on the wrong way? Yikes! I spent a few minutes really trying to decide which one goes on each side and the cutouts for the fork indicated to me that it was correct. I wasn’t 100% sure though. Not sure I’ll switch it, I may just remove it anyway since it doesn’t rain here.
Thanks for all the tips! I’m still learning more and more about this ebike.
You are wrong, No 500w in EU, only 250w with 36v,19,2 Ah (c20 pro EU)
@@Rorolap ..I have 500 Watt model, but 36V motor (two bikes)...on EU site you can see that option, but now is out of stock..
@@nenobujas6567 the 500w Can be unlock? 750 w unlocked? Do you climb hills very well? What the max range you do?
I would like by one (i m french but no EU stock 😥😥
@@Rorolap I already have C20 (non pro), and now bought C20 PRO 500W, huge difference in climbing ability, controller has 18Amp. max current, C20 (non pro) has 10Amp max, C20 PRO 250W has 12Amp max.
Now you can multiply 36Volts with Amps to calculate theoretical power..
Also, 36V battery when is fully charged is at 42V level...according that max power is 42×18=756 Watt..
With YL80C display you can adjust almost everything.
Also range depends by assist level you use..
Hypotheticaly, when you use all motor power (highest assist)18Amp per hour, ( battery is 19,2 Ah, but can't use it in total) and travel with 34 km/h, you can achieve 34 km range.. that is elementary mathematic..sorry maybe this post is too long..but i tried to simplify.☺️
Can we see you retrofit a regular bike into an electric bike at some point?
I’ve been really wanting to do a conversion video. I’ll just need to find the time. Hopefully I can do it one day soon. I know it’ll be fun and rewarding to have something I built myself.
What about putting the front and rear rack on those bikes
And can you swap out the battery to a larger amp hour is there room for a larger app our battery
19amp is better than a 10amp why they Wanted to put a 10amp battery with a 48 vote .
I bet they would’ve put a 19amp if they could, but size and cost would probably be hard to keep it competitive. A 19ah battery would be huge and difficult to find a place to hold it. It would be awesome to go 60-80 miles with a battery that size on a bike like this.
@@EbikeProducts So can the battery be swapped around can a 19 amp fit that bike.
