Prentice Street Homicide Surveillance Video - Case

The Arlington Police Department is asking for the public's help to identify the suspects in a homicide investigation.
On Tuesday, February 14, 2023, at approximately 5:14am, officers responded to the 1400 block of Prentice Street to investigate a shooting.
When they arrived, they found 36-year-old Ali Ismail deceased inside his SUV.
Surveillance video from a nearby home captured what occurred.
Prior to the shooting, two males were seen walking through the neighborhood, pulling the door handles on multiple vehicles in an apparent attempt to burglarize them.
One of the suspects walks up to Mr. Ismail's driveway about the time Mr. Ismail is returning home from work. As Mr. Ismail pulls into his driveway, the suspect fires multiple shots at the SUV, striking and killing Mr. Ismail.
Both suspects then left the neighborhood heading east on Prentice Street.
Detectives also recovered surveillance footage taken at 2:30am -- about 2 1/2 hours before the shooting -- showing a male trying to break into a vehicle in a nearby neighborhood.
Although we cannot definitively say if he is one of the shooting suspects, he is considered a person of interest and detectives would like to speak to him.
