May I have this Dance
I agree.
Thanks to CZcams we can listen to her music forever.
We absolutely agree! Thank you so much for sharing your thoughts. What is your favorite song of Anne?
My Mom always loved your songs, and I was on her side. In those days, we had a cassette. I brought it and She Loved it. This was way back in 1982. Loves 🙏❤👌
Anne Murray’s story should be viewed as a warning to young artists everywhere! The “industry” doesn’t seem to care about anything or anyone except for making $$. How sad that so many artists are used in this manner. God bless her & her family, always and all artists who are facing similar struggles. Sometimes you just have to say NO!
Well said, we strongly concur! Thank you for watching our content and for sharing your thoughts. What other types of video would you like to see?
One exception to your comment wherein you state that the industry doesn't care about the artist but the $$: Brenda Lee had managers (Owen Bradley, Red Foley) who looked out for her and treated her as a friend, not a comity. Her record company, Decca Records, felt the same way about her.
@@FactsVerse I would love to see good news about good people who show genuine respect, care, & concern for others. Those who practice kindness and compassion deserve attention and recognition.
@@stevemichaelsmichaels4646 Thanks for sharing your thoughts. Kudos to Decca. Hopefully, others will lead by good example and give all artists & musicians their fair share.
Agree, each of us have God given talents. Our part is to use them in accordance with His will.
Treating others fairly, respectfully, with love. Sharing examples of this nature may not drown out the divisive news of our society but it will resonate with many and give hope for future generations.
I've loved Anne's voice and songs all my life!! She has a smoothe and lovely voice. I certainly understand why she's backed out of the career due to the change in the business. I appreciate the years of sharing herself with us!
Well said, we strongly concur! Thank you for watching our content and for sharing your thoughts. What is your most memorable song of Anne?
@@FactsVerse You know how hard it is to pick out ONE favorite. Brokenhearted Me is always memorable.
One of my favorite singers of all time!
I was fortunate to see her in concert just before retirement. She was amazing !

❤🙏love her singing !my favorite song you needed me!! All her songs were Beautiful and she was Beautiful!!
I have not heard from Anne Murray in ages. I didn't even know that she had retired. I'm glad that she is ok.
I read that she has throat cancer
After seeing this video I can understand why Anne Murray retired. Currently she lives in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada. I visit Halifax at least once a year since my cousin lives there. Anne Murray was born Morna Anne Murray June 20, 1945 in Springhill, Nova Scotia. There is an Anne Murray Museum there in Springhill. In 1986 she wanted to record the song, "Something To Talk About," which her producer rejected, though her album was still titled that. The song was recorded by Bonnie Raitt 5 years later, which turned out to be her only huge hit on the Billboard Hot 100 peaking at #5.

Anne, Barbra, Celine, , Bette, Whitney, Aretha, Dionne, to name just a few-- many more too--- they are the best and always will be the best.
What is spoken of here by this male voice, likely artificial intelligence, is inaccurate. I am an enthusiast and a supporter of Anne Murray's career.
I have twice met the woman.
I have read her memoir, "All Of Me".
While this CZcams video may be meant for entertainment purposes, it is shameful.
Anne Murray retired from her career because she was finished with it. While there were bittersweet moments of walking away graciously and respectfully and thankfully, Anne did not have any regrets. She knows she would have a life again or could start a new life which she has been enjoying immensely and safely. Anne does keep in touch with her fans. A few years ago she helped her label in putting together a collection of her career. Make no mistake Anne Murray is an intelligent older woman with good intentions.
Agreed. I remember reading an article where she said that she felt she 'had done her bit', and it was time to retire. One thing I noticed that may have been a factor in her retirement, was that near the end, her voice had taken on a raspiness when she was hitting the high notes. It's possible that she may have felt that she had reached a point where she could no longer deliver the singing voice her audience had come to know, love and expect. Or she may have realized that the raspy sound may have been a sign that if she continued to sing at the top-notch level that she did, and despite her age and declining physical ability her vocal cords would be damaged.
Another artist, Ian Anderson of Jethro Tull, experienced similar issues with his voice, but ignored advice to stop performing for a while. As a result, the decision he made to push himself anyway ruined his voice and now he can barely sing.
I was always in ❤ with her
This is cool ! 😊

My favorite song is one I wrote....that she hasn't heard. ❤
Isn’t every one deserving of a retirement after working so very hard all those years.
Saw her show in Vegas in the 90’s. Her music was lovely but the program was pretty lack luster.
We're happy to know that you ahd a chance to see Anne! Which of her songs appealed to you the most?
Satu penyanyi yang sangat lembut, indah, menenangkan...sungguh aku sangat menghormatinya...
Obviously, Snowbird!!! Love her!!!

✅@@FactsVerse
She was great. But I wonder if after losing her family and I’m sure being quite wealthy and not happy doing it anymore, why not stop and do something you would enjoy. To keep going, when she didn’t sound happy, If this is accurate , why go on? Is money always that important and never enough that even if you’re miserable and dissatisfied with what you’re doing as an artist you keep going. Just wondering. Ifs just sad to think she was so unhappy for so long.

Those fake tears in the thumbnail are getting a work out this week.😂
Did she write and compose all her own music., or did she have writers?
She didn't write her own songs
@@tuneaddicted okay. Thank you. She had enough to do already.
She only sang her songs did not write them.
@@lindacruz7378 yes, i know. Someone told me a few days ago. Tank you,
Only sang songs other people wrote.
A little good news
Bill Murray should have helped her more!
