    I wish car reviews spent less time on the fluff and more on the drive and engine, suspension etc. But doesn't that just sum up the modern car, it's all entertainment systems and safety nanny for people who don't like to drive

    Great Video Review. Hyundai should Include more tech as standard otherwise a great SUV

    Great review as always. As for the lack of standard safety tech, I'm all for it. I don't want a million chimes going off as I back out of my garage. The tech just isn't there yet

      Why don't you drive 57 Buick and feel the rush as the steering column goes through your chest and the big block engine goes through your stomach in a fender bender. The hearse doesn't have chimes so you should be happy as you leave this mortal coil.

    Stick with the manual gearbox, Dct is lacklustre and troublesome

    Well pointed out, that the automatic version has a throttle input lag, and it is not a fun to drive. Not even in "sport" mode.

    beautiful suv but I feel this size car is just too small for a family... when you put 2 car seats in the rear and a stroller there really is not much room for much else. I think I would go more for an xtrail Ti

    Guys i have a question.. my tucson 2019 when engine is started, i must just very gently press the acceleration petal for some meters and then accelerate! If i try to drive immediately, it starts to push like trying to find the speed and to doesnt fully engage to the D1 etc for some seconds. My CLatch disks are brand new. Is it normal?

      Hi@Lucas, did you perhaps find out what the problem is?

  • @wolfshanze5980
    @wolfshanze5980 Před 5 lety +2

    I have a 2018 Tucson... pretty much every change to the new 2019 design made the Tucson worse. The styling and design went from "edgy/aggressive" look that stood-out on the road to "mild-mannered family car" that blends in with every other SUV. Also not a fan of the "glued-on tablet to the top of the dash" look... in 2018, the infoscreen was integrated into the dash and looked like part of the car. Not a fan of making this car look more like every other SUV instead of having it stand-out like the previous model.

      @ishmaelbailey3348 Před 4 měsíci +1

      Couldn't agree more. I'm thinking of a purchase of the 2018 after seeing the diffrence in changes as the 2018 has same bells and whistles and looks so much better and aggressive. I just wish they put in a bigger and more aggressive engine , especially the 2018 TGDI Sport. It's a sport , it's supposed to have atleast a 2.0 turbocharged engine inside and not a 1.6. I'm buying a sport and spending R500k yet a 2005 model toyota can overtake me 😢😂

      @wolfshanze5980 Před 4 měsíci

      @ishmaelbailey3348 lol... maybe you can buy my 2018 Tucson, wherever it is (I sold it back to the dealer in really great condition).
      The 1.6 Turbo was pretty good for the 2018, the base engine, not so much.
      I still stand by my comment that I hated the 2019-2021 Tucsons... so why did I sell my 2018 Tucson? There was nothing wrong with it ever... solid SUV... it's just I loved it so much, it could only be replaced by...
      I bought a 2023 Tucson Hybrid... same 1.6L Turbo, but with the added electric Hybrid, it brought the HP up to 226hp.
      I still love the 2018 Tucson... I got 5 good years out of it with zero complaints... the 2023 is just better.

      it kinda like juts out and looks weird with the button on the sides.. not as sleek as the one in the Mazda or the 3008.

    • @namrepmek
      @namrepmek Před 5 lety +2

      Same, prefer the embedded panel of the 2018 range (I have the Highlander) - buttons had a nicer layout and I'd rather have the line of sight at the dash as uncluttered as possible. Good review.

    • @trenchy1990
      @trenchy1990 Před 5 lety +1

      Not a fan either. Plus it's more exposed to the dense Australian Sun now in summer.
      I have a TL2 Highlander 1.6T and the only good things about the facelift for me was the wireless charging and rear usb outlet. That's all. AWD is good but overrated for Low Profile tyres.

    It's a pretty poor built car. I've never seen exposed welds on doors in my whole life. The door is as thick as a cigarette lighter.
    2 water leaks from the back small window on my brand new car. Rubbish
