Yes that is why we should teach the younger generation to take care of this planet. I live in Thailand in a rural area, people here let their dogs lose on the streets. Some dogs are stray, some has been abused. Most of them are neglected. With this kind of situation comes dog poops and trash all over streets. Because the dogs are hungry and there will go through the trash bins. They will bark and howl in the night. A big issue is that so many people live in the same place about 90 ℅ of the world population lives in just 10% of its land area. If we spread out and wasn't on top of each other all the time things would be alot better
Cities are a very efficient use of resources. To spread everything out would be a catastrophe. Not to mention that people need to live in a place where they have economic opportunity and industries in the area to support them
@@alexander15551 this doesn't matter alot of cities are still overpopulated which bring about high crime and violence. Just look at California with its homeless and I'm not saying to spread everyone out but to decrease the population in alot of these cities would ease the burden

All the figures are guestimates. The world population is only 4 billion .
I could not disagree with you more.
After listening to this entire video, I am completely appalled that CHINA was mentioned only once ....and was not even identified on the map. CHINA has always had the largest population on the planet! Forget about "scientific growth rates". When a massive population exists ...it is NOT ignored in the bigger scheme of any discussion as it was here. This was only a 7 minute conversations. MANY specific details were even tabled, because of the limited time constraints .....putting this video's value in question.
There are two countries causing this problem. Perhaps immigration is NOT the right thing to embrace. It might be a consideration to stop ALL immigration from both of these countries for the one purpose of forcing these people to understand the problem THEY are causing.
China DID identify a problem years ago and put birth restrictions in place. Unfortunately, the rest of the world's corporations kept on buying from China, increasing China's labour requirements, which has started the birth rate rise again. CORPORATIONS may in fact be the root cause of this growth. India does have some manufacturing capability, but nothing like China. There just isn't any reasoning or controls in this ethnic group.
However, specific to these two ethnic groups, something should be done. This has NOTHING to do with racism or any kind of prejudices. Additionally, neither of these countries is interested in global warming or pollution ....yet they are the primary producers of this problem from their manufacturing which have no safeguards as is found in most "modern" manufacturing elsewhere in the world. If these countries are concerned and interested about the environmental global conditions, they haven't done anything to address the problems. These countries will NOT stop polluting the world on their own accord. There may be only ONE way to stop this. Stop ALL relationships with these two countries. All supports of every type must end. This would force each country to fend for themselves. No need to step in and instruct or negotiate endlessly.. They would simply have to figure out what they must do on their own .....this way no "outsider" can be blamed when times get really tough in these countries .....and they would get very tough if the rest of the world is forced to do something.
Unfortunately, when very little actually happens DURING people's lifetimes, PROCRASTINATION supported by lengthy talks and analysis between nations, allows the situations to worsen. There WILL be a time when a generation has no choice but to make the unpopular decisions necessary for survival ......and the wealthy will be fine ......while everyone else will suffer.
.
@@taxicamel good lord, calm down. You have missed the complete point of the program. Demographic transition does not account for the effects of migration, it is simply about the impact that industrialization/development has on fertility and mortality rates. You could have learned more about this concept by reading about it or searching for a different video instead of WRITING SOMETHING SO LONG AND POINTLESS THAT NOBODY IS GOING TO READ THE ENTIRE THING
I have to wonder what the impact of climate change has been on people who have become refugees. If they are seeing refuge from war, it seems that some conflicts are fueled by issues related to the increasing scarcity of water. If they are fleeing from drought and famine, those are obviously directly related to climate change. Perhaps it would be better for both sides of that debate to specify which refugees are being discussed, since different people are motivated by different circumstances.
Read a history book. Climate has changed since the beginning of time. It's nature's way of getting rid of the weak. Humans and cars didn't put an end to the ice age.
😆 🤣 😂 😹
Well now that abortion is illegal in America 🇺🇸 another baby 💥 boom
Whose fleeing from drought and famine? What conflicts are fueled by scarcity of water? The climate change nut jobs really did a good job brainwashing you.
Guess they were right
The vast majority of people missed the point of this video. The world population will stagnate, and will begin to decrease if more children are not born in developed countries. We as a society waste over half the food we currently produce, we waste trillions of gallons of water because of Inefficient piping and water management use, and we waste trillions of Kilowatt hours of electricity because of the ladder. More people doesn’t mean more issues. It just means we as a society need to be more efficient and find better resources for things. We’re a very intelligent species, we’re great problem solvers. So we will find a solution to population collapse, and we will find solutions for all our other issues.
No. People have not missed the point of this video. They are looking more at short term issues. Not to mention speaking about issues that people don’t want to speak of “RESPONSIBILITY.” These countries should be held responsible for dealing with the issue of conflict and overpopulation. They are growing, but seem to not be solving any problems. They are still holding to conflicts that are 100’s of years old. There really is no problem with pointing this out. They simply don’t want to deal with it. IT IS NOT RACIST to speak of this. Don’t bury your head in the sand and ignore issues with African corruption which has carried over generations. Or the whole Asian conflicts issue. India, Pakistan, and China could form an Amazing coalition; but they are still fighting.
If you want me to criticize the west or “white” people. I can do that also. Global warming can almost solely attributed to “wonderful” technologies that white people/westerners overuse.
"and will begin to decrease if more children are not born in developed countries. " Lmao. Population growth in developing (ie. poor) countries will be many multiples of that !!!!

All the developed countries except Israel are currently below replacement level birth rates (2.1 births per woman). The only reason they're not in population decline is because of immigration. We need to work on more sustainable housing.. we need to stop building on nature reserves as well. Once a nature or national park goes up for sale we shouldn’t be building on those areas we should be preserving the area and keeping them national treasures. I hate humans that want to take what nature has left in this world. Micro plastics are another part of the human and animal biology. Which is scary to think about.. we are right now living in a scary and at the same time great time in humanity’s existence. If we all did our part and stopped big business from ruling the world by demanding laws preventing their power over the natural world. We would be so much better off. We wouldn’t have so much useless and senseless plastics ruining the earth right now.
Rat race. We seem to be incapable of the type of cooperation needed to live in any sense of intelligent harmony.
Wow that is too many people🙏
Meanwhile we have over 100,000 deaths from fentanyl, benzo, and tranq. In the US.
Food limits will probably keep us from getting to ten billion
WW3 will too. It is estimated that WW3 will wipe 4 billion people.
Why no one Talking About Technology 😂
I don't think that they're taking into account the people who die everyday.
They are. There are on average six people born every second but only four that die each second. So the global population increases by about two every second.
Of course they do but the number of births are still rising and ppl are living longer
😂😅😆
You can’t count or predict how many living people are on earth u can estimate but the next second after that information is out somewhere someone died
They all are migrating to America. Ugh.
America is the ONLY developed country with a growing population because of immigration
Not really anymore
Most probably population growth will come to a standstill when Africa is done with its transition....
My grandparents both had 10 and 13 siblings each, a regular pattern in Indian families those times, while my parents were adament on stopping on two children...
I used to ask my grandparents about why they had decided to have that many children, and their answers were culture, tradition and that's what other couples too used to have....
With passing time, social structure changes with education, modernisation and globalisation...
And also the burden of living already in a densly populated place makes people rethink their choices...
The same is true in Latin America. My grandmparents in Nicaragua had five children. None of her children had more than 3. Out of my cousins, siblings and I, most of us don’t have children and the ones that do only have one. We all care more about our education and our careers than we do about children
@NeoBPP uh ok. I assure you people in the past thought the same way, they were just way hornier than I am, and didn't have access to contraceptives.
In America many families had lots of children because of high infant morality and the need of child labor on the farm. Hiring farm labor is expensive and farms required a lot of work in the 19th and early 20th century. The working poor needed more children to work in factories to help the families back then.
Starting after World War 2, American children started to go to school until they were 16 to 18 years old and town and city work because more plentiful and profitable, having lots of children was not an asset, it was a strain on the family finances. Having more than 3 children required a high paying job that most men could barely qualify for. Something similar happened in Western Europe after World War I.
So it wasn't just blind culture and tradition to have lots of children back then, it was practical reasons to have lots of children that don't apply to most of us today.
@NeoBPP EXTREMELY
Money is security so by no means am I saying we don't need it.The problem lies with traditional cultures trying to emulate already developed western societies.
Everybody's focused on money & child rearing is secondary.
@@robertsteinbach7325 That and also that people didn't have access to contraceptives back then.
Unrestrained population growth is the cause of global warming. We all need food, water, shelter, & energy. CO2 level roses steadily since 1960, when the population was nearly 3 billion. 5 billion additional people have negative impact on climate. Families concerned about climate change should have no more than 2 children, one to replace each adult.
Why am i not surprised🤨
Mexico not on the list…
I think war will have a larger impact than climate change. I mean, the climate will change but more destructive will be people fighting to keep or obtain resources. I would love for future generations to learn to cooperate and bypass all of that.
You are too optimistic. So optimistic that you are dreaming a dream.
"I would love for future generations to learn to cooperate and bypass all of that." lmao. People from every generation going back thousands of years have said this. They said it as they plotted to attack the neighboring tribe or city state.
@@automnejoy5308 True. But this is the first generation who can end it all for everyone. Period. Game over. Hopefully, man has progressed enough to fully grasp the implications.
For what reason are there so many humans?
Same reason you're here

The mass reproduction of low quality idiots is totally a human characteristic. We have circumvented natural selection. If they never put warning labels on Drano, most of your parents wouldn’t have survived childhood.

By 2080 I be dead 🤣🤣🤣🤣
So nothing mentioned about the holding capacity of this planet.
Most experts seem to agree on 10 billion
It's going to hit 8 billion in 6 weeks.
That why we have pandemic, wars etc nature ways for population control.
Neither pandemics nor wars are naturally occurring events.
They each need a human pulling a trigger somewhere.
Humans ≠ Nature
nothing natural about wars and pandemics
There WILL be a time when a generation has no choice but to make the unpopular decisions necessary for survival ......and the wealthy will be fine ......while everyone else will suffer.
.
What a great milestone

The population will very slowly go over 10 billion before leveling out around 11 billion. Not because Earth can't support anymore but because people decided to only have 1 to 3 children. We have the infrastructure and technology right now to support over 10 billion but much of the world eats more than it needs to. And that's a good thing! Mankind will adjust and with it we will learn to manage our impact on nature. *The truth is most of the growth has already happened.*
im voluntarily ending my bloodline due to the inability to care for myself let alone children
And I’m still single! 🤦🏽♂️
We need Thanos
That's a lot of love makin.
There is already a shortage of resources. Why does everyone want a larger population using those same resources?
Places where there's an increasing population have 1) women have no control over their own body and 2) religion brainwashed the women into having more children. Give the women their freedom and education, many would choose to have less children or no children at all.
Over population makes every problem worst.
These factors-the cooling Pacific, the yet-to-cool Atlantic, and the
historical reduction in recent solar activity-suggest that a staggered
cooling period could continue. Absent from most headlines about global
warming is a discussion of measures suggesting that the warming has
ceased and a cooling may have begun. For example, deep-ocean heat
content has not increased during the past five years. Looking at just
one year, from January 2007 to January 2008, we find that
satellite-derived atmospheric temperatures indicate that Earth was about
one degree Fahrenheit cooler at the beginning of 2008 than it was at
the beginning of 2007. The United Kingdom’s Hadley Centre ocean and land
temperature records show cooling in the last seven to ten years....
This is extremely misleading information. You are a danger to everyone that your comment reaches. Right now, the world is experiencing heat waves and drought on an unprecedented scale that hasn’t been seen before. This is going to be the hottest year that has ever been recorded by humans. Just as the last 10 years have. You are in denial that your actions have helped caused mass suffering on a global scale. Refugees are fleeing to countries where drought and extreme heat are not as prominent. Fresh water sources are drying faster than they can be reproduced. This is ALL due to humans production of green house gasses. Clearly, you’re scared and looking for a way to cope with that which is an undeniable fact. The Earth is warming, and it will keep doing so until the oceans come knocking on your door. Even then, you’d probably still deny it and claim the Earth is cooling. I hope one day, you’ll stop spreading lies and spread actual information.
Now we know why Covid was "invented"!!!
Somethings gotta give !
Very concerning.
It's like we lost a lot of people during Covid but then people stayed home and made babies to replace those who passed bec of covid.. It's like a weird cycle.
No we didn't. COVID deaths accounts for 5% of total deaths per year on average.
We didn't lose as many people as you think with Covid.
There were and are more recoveries than deaths.
That did not happen at all. Everyone expected a pandemic baby boom, but there was in fact a baby bust.
The reason that they overturned roe v wade
Yes!
@ SD SD ummm Roe v Wade was overturned in the entire country. Are you good?
Sounds great 👍

More people less resources to accommodate everyone meaning prices for food energy housing etc will increase because demand will keep growing bad enough we have inflation now we need population control
plus limits on available water. California is a prelude, big businesses are legally pumping the texas aquifers dry while our population explodes. We are less than a decade from the poop hitting the spinning blade.
