Some dogs are stray, some has been abused. Most of them are neglected. With this kind of situation comes dog poops and trash all over streets. I could not disagree with you more.
After listening to this entire video, I am completely appalled that CHINA was mentioned only once ....and was not even identified on the map. CHINA has always had the largest population on the planet! Forget about "scientific growth rates". When a massive population exists ...it is NOT ignored in the bigger scheme of any discussion as it was here. This was only a 7 minute conversations. MANY specific details were even tabled, because of the limited time constraints .....putting this video's value in question.
There are two countries causing this problem. Perhaps immigration is NOT the right thing to embrace. It might be a consideration to stop ALL immigration from both of these countries for the one purpose of forcing these people to understand the problem THEY are causing.
China DID identify a problem years ago and put birth restrictions in place. Unfortunately, the rest of the world's corporations kept on buying from China, increasing China's labour requirements, which has started the birth rate rise again. CORPORATIONS may in fact be the root cause of this growth. India does have some manufacturing capability, but nothing like China. There just isn't any reasoning or controls in this ethnic group.
However, specific to these two ethnic groups, something should be done. This has NOTHING to do with racism or any kind of prejudices. Additionally, neither of these countries is interested in global warming or pollution ....yet they are the primary producers of this problem from their manufacturing which have no safeguards as is found in most "modern" manufacturing elsewhere in the world. If these countries are concerned and interested about the environmental global conditions, they haven't done anything to address the problems. These countries will NOT stop polluting the world on their own accord. There may be only ONE way to stop this. Stop ALL relationships with these two countries. All supports of every type must end. This would force each country to fend for themselves. No need to step in and instruct or negotiate endlessly.. They would simply have to figure out what they must do on their own .....this way no "outsider" can be blamed when times get really tough in these countries .....and they would get very tough if the rest of the world is forced to do something.
Unfortunately, when very little actually happens DURING people's lifetimes, PROCRASTINATION supported by lengthy talks and analysis between nations, allows the situations to worsen. There WILL be a time when a generation has no choice but to make the unpopular decisions necessary for survival ......and the wealthy will be fine ......while everyone else will suffer.
      .

I have to wonder what the impact of climate change has been on people who have become refugees. If they are seeing refuge from war, it seems that some conflicts are fueled by issues related to the increasing scarcity of water. If they are fleeing from drought and famine, those are obviously directly related to climate change. Perhaps it would be better for both sides of that debate to specify which refugees are being discussed, since different people are motivated by different circumstances.

The vast majority of people missed the point of this video. The world population will stagnate, and will begin to decrease if more children are not born in developed countries. We as a society waste over half the food we currently produce, we waste trillions of gallons of water because of Inefficient piping and water management use, and we waste trillions of Kilowatt hours of electricity because of the ladder. More people doesn’t mean more issues. It just means we as a society need to be more efficient and find better resources for things. We’re a very intelligent species, we’re great problem solvers. So we will find a solution to population collapse, and we will find solutions for all our other issues.

    • @tzermonkey
      @tzermonkey Před rokem +16

No. People have not missed the point of this video. They are looking more at short term issues. Not to mention speaking about issues that people don’t want to speak of “RESPONSIBILITY.” These countries should be held responsible for dealing with the issue of conflict and overpopulation. They are growing, but seem to not be solving any problems. They are still holding to conflicts that are 100’s of years old. There really is no problem with pointing this out. They simply don’t want to deal with it. IT IS NOT RACIST to speak of this. Don’t bury your head in the sand and ignore issues with African corruption which has carried over generations. Or the whole Asian conflicts issue. India, Pakistan, and China could form an Amazing coalition; but they are still fighting.
If you want me to criticize the west or “white” people. I can do that also. Global warming can almost solely attributed to “wonderful” technologies that white people/westerners overuse.

All the developed countries except Israel are currently below replacement level birth rates (2.1 births per woman). The only reason they're not in population decline is because of immigration. Except for Japan (1.45 bpw): they're in population decline even with immigration (and have been since 2000). (In 2020 the US birth rate fell to 1.64 bpw.)
Oh, and India is currently at 2.18… expected to drop below replacement levels this year (2022).
Birth rates in the developing countries are following the trends set by the developed countries: as they become more developed their birth rates are declining also… but none have fell below replacement levels yet.
One of the World Health Organization's population predictions is that world population will peek before 2100 at less than nine billion.

Black Rock, Vanguard and black street all need to be at the forefront with the big business they own and the international shady practices they ensue. I’ll be 80 in 2090... so I’m hoping that a huge shift on the hive mind of most people take the environment seriously and start practicing safer regulations on pesticides and herbicides reduced in all parts of the world.
No antibiotics in our meat that we consume.
GMO’s are fine imo, they just need to put less sugars and volume in carbohydrates in some fruits such a strawberries and more vitamins. We could but companies chose a to work on size and color and texture.
We need to work on more sustainable housing.. we need to stop building on nature reserves as well. Once a nature or national park goes up for sale we shouldn’t be building on those areas we should be preserving the area and keeping them national treasures. I hate humans that want to take what nature has left in this world. Micro plastics are another part of the human and animal biology. Which is scary to think about.. we are right now living in a scary and at the same time great time in humanity’s existence. If we all did our part and stopped big business from ruling the world by demanding laws preventing their power over the natural world. We would be so much better off. Most probably population growth will come to a standstill when Africa is done with its transition....
My grandparents both had 10 and 13 siblings each, a regular pattern in Indian families those times, while my parents were adament on stopping on two children...
I used to ask my grandparents about why they had decided to have that many children, and their answers were culture, tradition and that's what other couples too used to have....
With passing time, social structure changes with education, modernisation and globalisation...
And also the burden of living already in a densly populated place makes people rethink their choices...

In America many families had lots of children because of high infant morality and the need of child labor on the farm. Hiring farm labor is expensive and farms required a lot of work in the 19th and early 20th century. The working poor needed more children to work in factories to help the families back then.
Starting after World War 2, American children started to go to school until they were 16 to 18 years old and town and city work because more plentiful and profitable, having lots of children was not an asset, it was a strain on the family finances. Having more than 3 children required a high paying job that most men could barely qualify for. Something similar happened in Western Europe after World War I.
So it wasn't just blind culture and tradition to have lots of children back then, it was practical reasons to have lots of children that don't apply to most of us today.

Unrestrained population growth is the cause of global warming. We all need food, water, shelter, & energy. CO2 level roses steadily since 1960, when the population was nearly 3 billion. 5 billion additional people have negative impact on climate.

We have the infrastructure and technology right now to support over 10 billion but much of the world eats more than it needs to. And that's a good thing! These factors-the cooling Pacific, the yet-to-cool Atlantic, and the
historical reduction in recent solar activity-suggest that a staggered
cooling period could continue. Absent from most headlines about global
warming is a discussion of measures suggesting that the warming has
ceased and a cooling may have begun. For example, deep-ocean heat
content has not increased during the past five years. Looking at just
one year, from January 2007 to January 2008, we find that
satellite-derived atmospheric temperatures indicate that Earth was about
one degree Fahrenheit cooler at the beginning of 2008 than it was at
the beginning of 2007. The United Kingdom’s Hadley Centre ocean and land
temperature records show cooling in the last seven to ten years....

This is extremely misleading information. You are a danger to everyone that your comment reaches. Right now, the world is experiencing heat waves and drought on an unprecedented scale that hasn’t been seen before. This is going to be the hottest year that has ever been recorded by humans. Just as the last 10 years have. You are in denial that your actions have helped caused mass suffering on a global scale. Refugees are fleeing to countries where drought and extreme heat are not as prominent. Fresh water sources are drying faster than they can be reproduced. This is ALL due to humans production of green house gasses. Clearly, you’re scared and looking for a way to cope with that which is an undeniable fact. The Earth is warming, and it will keep doing so until the oceans come knocking on your door. Even then, you’d probably still deny it and claim the Earth is cooling. I hope one day, you’ll stop spreading lies and spread actual information.
