#vocaloid - Hudba
"No one could think they could capture this much emotion from a vocaloid song"
Kikuo and Wowaka: *Allow us to introduce ourselves*
:(
This comment hit me hard when I heard Kikuo and Wowaka in one comment
(me 2 years ago was so unhinged omfg)
im pretty sure he meant no one could at the time of 2007, i believe wowaka and kikuo started after melt was released. Not that I don't agree though.
not at 2007 tho... early vocalo song... is yeah.. very amateurish..
What about Neru as a Kagamine producer. Great one with lots of emotions.
"Yes, the life that was born of the Melt sensation"
-a line from Hachi's Sand Planet
oh fuck !!
HOLY SHIT???
Another reason why I love Sand Planet/Suna no Wakusei is all the thought and care put into it by Hachi/Kenshi Yonezu
OH???? ON GOD????
@@girstacobowl yeah! Sand Planet is FILLED with references to past Vocaloid songs.
yes, melt is one of the legendary vocaloid song.

One of the legendary Vocaloid song.
@@Tamanegi-P ...of all time.
I tried looking up meltdown but I accidentally forgot the down
Im really happy to see Someone talk about this.

I was 9 years old when my cousin made me listen to Melt.
I'm 20 now, and it is still my absolute favourite Vocaloid song.
Saaame.
Oh please check out the song on my channel. Super rare
cousins are great like that
okay let me just say that especially for the time ryo/supercell STILL has some of the best tuning for miku out there
Mitchie M also is good
he's undoubtedly the best w. miku imo he made the most iconic songs
I love Supercell
Very true
ryo is j a banger producer in gen. i didnt know he was partially behind egoist n i love them (rip)
Melt is genuinely quite an emotional song. Her tuning and just the lyrics is amazing. The fact it was made in 2007 when no one knew how to actually tune and just had very slow boring notes.
honestly melt gives me a lotta emotions and i end up crying listening to it. i didnt when i was younger, just a love song but i got so so nostalgic when i listened in recent years. vocaloid has come really really far.
Aww! Awesome! 'Melt' was the first song by Miku that I ever listened to, and the first Vocaloid song for me to listen to in general! ^_^ It always makes me cry when I listen to it! It will always be special to me! :D
yo why am i crying at vocaloid essay videos at 1am
I really hope Vocaloid never dies, this is literally the only thing that makes me happy when I'm sad.
as long producters and fans keep creating new content, either song or fan art, and developpers keep giving updates to the voice bank, it wont die, honestly
It's kinda already dying out
@@joshvovk At all, there is a lot of stuff coming out, and 5 version.
@@joshvovk maybe, but if you look around, you'll see new releases of new song and fan art and all, it's sure not as big as before, but there is enought peeps around to not let it die completly
It’s definitely gained it’s own group of followers.
Just about every successful band has this happen. They get really popular for a certain time then they get their own cult following after being in the main spotlight
Me, at eleven years old in 2019 getting into Vocaloid: *exists*
People who listened to Vocaloid from the moment it was out thinking it was dying out in 2019: REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE
Oh my God I can so relate although I got into it in the summer of 2017 as a 10 year old and I’m so obsessed omg
I got into it around 2013 lmao i was 7
I got into Vocaloid at 2017,9 years old.
Same I got into Vocaloid late 2019,I was 12 and still am but I get nostalgic over stuff in the Vocaloid community I wasn't even there for xd
Wow so many 11-13 year olds
Since the first time I heard Melt in 2010, it has always been my all time favorite song
listen it again 🎉
Before I knew Miku sing I use to play fan-made dating simulators of her and loved the design. It wasn't till I heard Rolling girl on my CZcams recommends that I learner about this which changed a lot for me. During this time I was dealing with a lot of stuff and even had a toxic family member who would harass me for enjoying Vocaloid and saying "It's only for girls stop being a fag" so I never got into it till I was in high school during my finals. I wanted to hear Rolling girl so bad but my family member ruined it for me but I didn't care anymore so I just looked it up and found this song in particular. It hit me deep with the feels. I didn't understand what she was saying or how she felt but the lyrics crushed me speechless causing me to get into Vocaloid despite having a horrible person in my life to try and ruin it for me.
That family member can go choke on Miku's celery.
@@yorukaadams940 Seconded
But doesn't she use a leek?
They can choke on both and I hope they're allergic and it triggers their ibs
@@terraaudeux7946 it's supposed to be a leek but it was inspired my a meme of Orihime from Bleach when she was holding a sping onion! So I think it really should be a spring onion. True story man
Thank you. I really love this song. Can you do one for Odds & Ends? It also has a very interesting story to it.
Hey Dario. Yeah i’ll definitively consider it. I’m actually making another video about Ryo right now though and the themes from that song definitively will come up. If I still think I have enough material left over that doesn’t overlap I’ll make a separate video for it
Can you do "Ai Kotoba"?
I randomly found this video and I’m glad I did
Same here.
here too
I literally just listened to Melt for the 1st time before watching this video. I saw this video posted & wanted to see what all the fuss was about before I watched it.
What a fantastic little song! I'm brand new to vocaloid, but I grew up in a musical family & have listened to music as an escape all my life. And, at the risk of sounding overly sentimental, Melt made me a little teary eyed. The sense of frustration & even loss, esp since that loss was self-inflicted cuz Miku was to shy & proud to even tell the guy she was in love with him, really hit me in the chest. I'm a super shy person who can totally relate to Miku's pain in this song. I can understand why Melt changed things in vocaloid. I completely forgot I was listening to a voice synthesizer & just heard a hurting person I can totally relate to. I get it!
Melt, man back in 6th/7th grade I was crazy for ryo. Wowaka may be the one who brought me back to vocaloid back in 2011, but ryo kept me grounded. I tried learning it on piano, though I have no musical bone in my body haha, I only got the intro right. Amazing video, my dude
Rip Wowaka.
Introduced me to rolling girl.
First song I listened to Rolling Girl
Second was Romeo and Cinderella
Third one was Melt
Mine was “Love Is war”
The original was lost to the internet. I actually still have the original HD copy of it, not the redone version.
First one I listened to was popi0o
My first was senbonzakura
my first was echo although i didn't know what a vocaloid was back then, i only came from undertale lmao
I can not listen to Melt without crying. it’s one of my favorite songs of all time.
Thanks for the video, hearing about Vocaloid history really makes me appreciate it more.
I was listening to Rin and Len’s cover of Electric Angel when this video popped back into my memory and I can totally agree about how the Diva-focused nature of early Vocaloid was a barrier. Like, yes there are people who like the original Electric Angel, but it honestly took the Kagamines cover in order for the song to reach wide popularity.
I didn’t even know that rin and len did a cover! What does he mean by the diva aspect? /gen
whoops idk how but it sent like 50 of the same reply
melt was the first vocaloid song i ever heard, it totally changed my life. i’m so happy to see you talk about it and give it the attention it deserves
I always cry whenever i listen to melt unexpectedly. It just always catches me off guard and i start feeling the feels... gawd vocaloid gives me so much nostalgia now...
God, whenever I listen to melt I wanna cry kwjshdhsbevgd
I thought I was only wanted cry that's relieved you're here too
Bro same Melt was the first vocaloid song I ever heard
"should we praise melt as the greatest song ever made and ryo as a god?"
wait, we weren't already doing that?
"no, of course not"
WAIT, WE'RE NOT SUPPOSED TO BE DOING THAT?
Melt hit me like a truck back in the day when I first heard it.
I was a little guy about to enter highschool and in love. And Melt just was perfect for me at that moment. I even shread tears to this song.
I did managed to confess to this chick and form a relationship with her even. I would like to say that after ten years I'm still with that chick and about to be married. But that would be lying. We broke up just a few months later.
But I still love Melt. And will have a special place in my heart. Its far from being my favorite song. But everytime I hear it I sing with a passion no other song has made me sing before. And I come back to being that young preteen boy in love for a few minutes.
Melt is a very important song...
World is mine: am I joke to you...
Tell your world : hmm???
miku (anamanaguchi): u wot mate
Rolling Girl: (Sad rolling noises)
Odds and ends: excuse me?
Well, those songs release way later than Melt. They're also important, yes, but Melt is the starting point of all the waves.
Me: *has never heard of melt*
Also me: haha yea melt is great yea
Literally me
Same
Me who only played it once in Future Tone
Seriously? For me it's freaking nostalgic
Cynical Kazu I only listened to it once I got MegaMix but yea.
stanning Vocaloid and respecting it since '07, yessir!
World is Mine was the very first Vocaloid song I ever listened to because of Tinier Me :D
That site also had an influence to me on discovering vocaloid
Thanks for the video, now I get it...
Because what happened to me was exactly what you said in the video - I didn't get why is this so cool, since it sounded for me already common, but huh, there's story behind it!)
So Ryo Should Be Thanked By Crypton, Eh?
Melt was also one of the songs that gave Otomachi Una her first taste of fame, that cover still remains one of the most iconic works featuring her.
It's funny when you remember that Cillia only made it because it was so hot that she was melting. Literally.
But, she did what she is known to do. That was taking an unpopular, new Vocaloid, make a cover with it and give it a warm welcome to the scene.
A lot of prominent songs back then was from ryo so in general imo, ryo was a substantial step to Vocaloids.
Finally!! Melt was my first song introducing me to Vocaloid! I was so drawn by the song's cute vocals and how it told a story, unlike most songs that I knew. And I fell in love with Vocaloid ever since.
Ryo supercell is a legend
I remember the first time I heard melt. It instantly changed me. Before that I only listened to emo type bands like My Chemical Romance, The Used, Chiodos, Taking Back Sunday etc.
It was like a switch flipped in my brain. It may some pretty weird but I honestly can't think of a bigger turning point in my life when it comes to who I am as a person. My hobbies, interests and personality. Perhaps some other Vocaloid or Jpop song would have had the same impact on me eventually, but Melt was the one that did it.
This is exactly what happened to me I was super emo and bland, but when I heard matryoshka and fell down the vocaloid rabbit hole I got so much happier and inspired with all the awesome music videos and stories told in them. Everytime I listened to it I'd feel like I could do anything. Now that I'm 21 they make me relive that burst of happiness and wonder I had when I was 10. I still like emo songs but I'd take vocaloid over them any day.
Wow...your videos are just amazing!! Você tem um fã brasileiro.
I absolutely loved Melt the first time i listened to it and to this day i'm a little disappointed that most of my fellow Vocaloid-lover friends had no idea it existed until i told them, and even then, they didn't seem to like it as much as i did :v
it's nice to see a video about it lol
Wait- Melt is my favorite vocaloid song wth 😅 and it helped people, that makes me really happy 💙
Great video, thanks for this!
Its been almost 13 years since I first heard melt, but it's the first time I literally had goosebumps when I heard the song again in your video.
your videos truly are gems. thank you for contributing to the vocacommunity!
i think it's okay that this video is short. it's a perfect duration bc you managed to put your thoughts in a way that is comprehensive and easy to understand
Man, I love your video format and content. So informative and interesting at the same time! Great Job!
Thank ya!
This was one of my first vocaloid songs and It would always fill me with joy and unexplainable happiness I'd listen to it on my way to school and it would make my day everyday, now when I listen to it it makes me tear up Everytime because I get transported instantly to those times. Such an important song to me
I frickin love this song. Hearing it always takes me back to the days when I was first discovering vocaloid. All of ryo's songs are super nostalgic for me. It's hard to believe how far vocaloid music has come over the years.
Just watching this video made me start to cry. When you describe these things that are so important to me in such an appreciative light, it makes me remember just how long vocaloid has been with me and how much it affects me.
Wow, I knew Melt was important, but I never knew by how much! It's not my favorite song either, but it makes me feel happy inside because of the sweet lyrics and emotion in the Vocals. Melt was truly the first megahit. (and it withstands the test of time more than, say, "World Is Mine", which was my first song)
Melt was my first Vocaloid song, so I'd say this song really does hold a special spot in my heart. Thank you for making this video!
This brings me back, I was already interested in Vocaloid prior to Melt since I’ve never heard of anything before.
But ryo’s songwriting truly is amazing. Even when he stopped working on Vocaloid and went mainstream, all the songs he did were unforgettable. Thanks for the video ❤️
Man i just found your channel, and it's a hidden gem 💎, i love it
AS SOON AS I SAW THE TITLE, I ALREADY LOVED THIS VIDEO.
Melt is my first vocaloid song. *Nostalgia intensifies*
Sure Melt may be "just" a love song and it does feel a lot simpler compared to ryo's later works but i think what makes it hit is how universal it is. Sure it's sung from the girl's pov but most of us had that moment where you get to spend the day with the person you like, with the feeling of affection growing the more time you spend together, and yet unable to tell them how you really feel, in a sensation that can only be described as, well... melting.
When I saw this video in my recommendations I searched for Melt and I heard it And Thank you if your video didn't popped up I wouldn't have heard this heartwarming song Thanks!
this was one of my favorite vocaloid songs when i was a kid, helped me through some hard times
melt was the first vocaloid song I ever listened to and its amazing to hear how many other people had the same experience, melt might not be the most amazing groundbreaking song but it was so many people's first dive into this genre and it inspired so many which is why I can still listen to this song and appreciate it for what it is and let the nostalgia take me to a totally different time in my life
It’s really cool to hear this stuff, I would’ve never known how important melt was
Yep this song is fantastic. I still get shivers sometimes listening to this and Rome & Cinderella. They barely fit into the genres that I usually go for, but they still hold up. Thanks for uploading this.
Wow I had no idea how significant this song was. I got into utaite covers first before getting to vocaloids. I found it really hard to get into the vocals. I fell in love with Wotamin's cover of Melt so much that I looked up the original version and I thought it sounded good. That was when I started to gain a tolerance to vocaloid voices and now I like it
I didn't notice until recently that vocaloid was a big part of my life. I'm very happy this channel exists. Thank you so much
i like melt, it was one of the first song i've heard and it's heartwarming
A pleasant surpise to hear about how it was the song that helped the comunity growing tho :O
Kaito's icecream melt parody got me into vocaloid
It’s such a simple video. I love it
still get goosebumps everytime i hear this
I really love and appreciate how mature and good this channel is about the vocaloid. I insta subbed when I see the Wowaka video, you really deserve more subs man! 💖 best wishes from Brazil, hope your videos are most recommended, I shared the Wowaka video right now!
Bro chills literal chills man
Melt was my first song i heard and its came out on my birthday and when they re did the song for the 10th anniversary i got excited to go back and visit a song that got me into vocaloid and is still one of my favorites
Yes! Finally someone makes a video about this! Also you're incredibly underrated man
Im rly glad that Vocaloid is continuing to exist and improve until today even as late as I am to the party. Here’s to hoping to see more innovations and creativity from this community✨✨
Really interesting video !
Never mind if Melt is "just" a love song. It's damn good produced, the text is touching and I still gets warm and happy inside, when I hear it. So it works - which really is the secret.
It’s 2020 and melt is still a banger
I just realized that Melt was uploaded on my birthday. Huh.
I first listened to Melt just last year (which I'm very thankful for) because of the game Project Sekai (Colorful Stage feat. Hatsune Miku, a gacha rhythm mobile game). I remember playing this while experiencing goosebumps on every second of the song, it was just so good. I didn't even know what the lyrics were, but it portrayed a warm, bittersweet and melancholic feeling. Never knew it was this popular. Lol. I really liked it, I love it.
melt still sounds as good as most current vocaloid songs, in my opinion! it's just really astounding. there's a lot of emotion within the vocals, especially for the time.
This song always, ALWAYS gives me warm chill. This song is just that good, man.
bruh, this makes me wanna listen again so hard.. take me back to 07 x)
i still get chills every time that chorus hits
I was about 5 or 6 when I got into Vocaloid.
It's never went out of my head. Ever
Ngl Melt was an amazing song, it was my ringtone in grade 5 and 6 and it still holds a special place in my heart today ♥️✨💕
I love Melt so much, it wasn't my first song, but it might be one of my favorites till today. I really love it.
I thought this song was alright but now you helped me appreciate it and see it from a new pov, I love it more now thank you.
I had no idea this song was so influential. Thanks for bringing this to my attention! That's really cool.
This song is very special to me. It is the first Vocaloid song I EVER heard and it opened my eyes to something more. It taught me about being happy, being sad, it's okay to be strange, it's okay to be depressed, it taught me to be strong and keep moving forward. During my elementary to highschool days, Vocaloid was my world, even during the darkest days of my life, it was Vocaloid songs that kept me sane. More than 10 years later, a lot has changed in my life and I don't listen to Vocaloid much anymore... But! I will never forget, the beautiful world I lived in because of Vocaloid. And it all started with a song called "Melt" by Miku ❤️
1 1/2 years ago a friend that is into anime like me asked "You ever heard of a Vocaliod?". I've been into anime since the mid-90's and I had to admit I never did. My first song was a video and one I'll never know the name to. Sung by Miss Monochrome. It grabbed my interest seeing a hologram dance and sing on a live stage. Then he showed me a video of Hatsune Miku on David Letterman. "Sharing the World" and unfortunately lost impact as it was sung in English. No one in that studio knew what to think of it. But I did. I bought Hatsune Miku Vocaloid v4x and have since upgraded with the 5 release. HM Vocaloid opened a World I thought close with the death of several of my band members and fiancee. To date I have 9 songs. I'm now working on voicebanks for 5 "vocaloids" but actually made with UTAU and Oremo. It'll be years before I can put a full band in holograms on stage. But even if I do it only once, then it will have been worth having the old band back. Watch for the new band "A2F" around summer of 2023. I hope.
Wishing you the best man, to quote our friendly Japanese fisherman "NEVER GIVE UP!"

Melt is my favorite VOCALOID classic. But I didn't think it was such a big hit, holy moly.
this is one of the songs that got me into the vocaloid community 6~8 years ago. 😭💞
Heard this listening to a Kyrary Pamyu Pamyu Pandora station about 2 weeks ago for the FIRST time. Yup it melted my heart.
Must learn more about this "vocaloid" thing, I'm intrigued!
Melt was the first vocaloid song that made me cry. A robot should never have been able to capture as much emotion as it did but Ryo made it happen. Respect.
This is the first song I hear from her and it changed my way of listening to music and I got hooked to Vocaloid.
YES! I agree!! MELT was the first Vocaloid song I ever heard and it really brought me into the world of vocaloid, utaite, other cover artists, all different kinds of genre. I fell in love with Melt and also Halyosy's cover of it !!
Holy shit. I had no idea that melt was Inspiration for livetune. I love vocaloid now more
My heart flutters everytime I hear this song🥺
I listen to melt for the first time yesterday while playing diva f on an emulator and I’m in love truly amazing
Saw it live in NYC in 2014. So worth it.
very cool video! definitely good for a lot of english speakers who might not have understood the gravity of influence melt had on the 2007 vocaloid landscape
Melt es una de mis canciones favoritas!!
This song definitely reminded me of Fruitgear Aero era, a future we would we really imagined, giving newfound hope
Love is War was and always will be what made me fall in love with Vocaloid.
I got into vocaloid only a year ago and I discovered this song about a week ago before watching this. I loved it as soon as I heard it. For some reason it gives me feelings of faux nostalgia(a lot of older vocaloid songs give me that feeling for some reason) lol everyone’s like “this song is so nostalgic” and I’m just sitting here like... (OvO) “hey guys...I’m new here...”
i have always liked this song and it's my favortite song from vocaloid, this song is simply amazing the miku's voice conveys a lot of emotion and the lyrics are beautiful, a master piece.
