    I love this sketchbook! Been using it for the past year and I can say that it can take quite a lot of different mediums.

      Thank you, Krisi! I agree. This paper can handle almost any medium!

    Hi. Jim from Madrid, Spain (a New Yorker expat living abroad).
    EXCELLENT video! THANK YOU very much!
    I have been searching for a mixed media sketchbook for graphite, coloured pencils, ink, watercolor and gouache and I had my eye on this sketchbook (it has a very competitive price for quality on this side of the pond) and after watching your video I've made up my mind.
    I already use Hanemuhle's 100% Cotton Watercolor Sketchbooks, though pricier than this One, which I only use for its purpose (watercolor), but I needed an EDC good quality sketchbook and... this is It! (I am tired of spending money on trying out so many sketchbooks, when I can be spending all that money in other art supplies).
    Again... THANK YOU!
    Cheers from Sunny Spain!

      The Nostalgie is my favorite for non-watercolor mediums, and I do use it for watercolor too when out and about. I'm sure you'll love it!

    Thank you so much for the review!! I read your written review as well and it was so helpful. Not many reviews of this paper unfortunately but I’ve seen some incredible coloured pencil art done on it . !! May I ask, how “white” is this paper? I have have the cezanne cold pressed paper, is the nostalgie paper brighter white? Or more cream? I hope that makes sense!!
    Also have you done any more coloured pencil work on it?
    Thank you so much again!

      The Nostalgie is slightly more cream, but they are both very close. It is much smoother so light reflects differently off of it. Sorry, all my other colored pencil work on this paper is as part of mixed media. I just don't use colored pencil all that often.

    Hi! This is very late, but how does the paper take fountain pen ink? My last sketchbook tended to "absorb" the ink too much/to quickly, making it too thick and messy.
    Also how creamy/yellow are the pages?
    Thank you!

    • @1molossus
      @1molossus  Před rokem +1

      Never too late, and I use this paper a lot - it's one of my go-tos. The pages are bright white. I wouldn't describe them as creamy or yellow at all. The paper isn't too absorbent, color stays on top for a while. You do need to take some care not to smear fountain pen ink, but I don't find it stays wet excessively long. I draw with fountain pen ink rather than write with it, and that does make a little difference.

      @@1molossus thank you very much for your reply! I think I might go for this one for my next sketchbook, even if it's slightly pricier than what I usually go for, it seems perfect!
