We are back in London - when I was visiting "ABBA Voyage" for its big world premiere in May 2022, I also used the opportunity to visit some of the filming locations for "Mr. Bean". This is my tour to those legendary places. At some of them, it’s like time stood still.

1:14 I used to walk through that tunnel every day on my way to college, even though I had seen that scene from Mr Bean I didn't realize until many years later 😂
I recognize lots of these locations from my youth growing up in that area of London actually.
My father even worked for Thames Television at Teddington studios for a few years.

Yes, but the credit is not because he's my friend. If I didn't like Sam's music, I'd not even be using it at all. As a matter of fact, I'm playing his latest album heavily, and I was very excited I was able to use it in the video. :-) Regarding tourist areas: I am usually more into suburbs and remote locations, so that has nothing to do with London as such.

Amazing video!! I'm planning my first trip to the UK in a few months, and the first thing I thought about after I booked my hotel was "I want to see as many of the Mr. Bean filming locations as possible!" and here you've made a whole video about it! Thank you so much. Mr. Bean holds a special place in my heart. I grew up in the 90s and early 2000s watching the series while in the Middle East; it's very popular there. I hope you get around to making Part 2 that shows other locations (science fair, hotel, beach, department stores, etc). Thank you again!
I really enjoyed this video. Alongside ABBA, Mr Bean has always been very dear to me. The episode when he buys a tv and gets his camera stolen in the park was the first episode I ever saw, a few years old. I was so nce to see you visiting the statues in the park. By the way, the grafitti "PHUT!" always reminds me of the club Bean and his girlfriend visits in that same episode. As a child, I always laughed hysterically when he made the neon sign go out 😁

I have only just stumbled across this vid.Very well researched.However,I wonder if you are aware that ,when you were filming in Battersea Park,you were only 10 minutes from Clapham Junction,where the scenes where Bean goes to the sales to buy the armchair were filmed.The Arding & Hobbs building,though no longer a department store,is still there.

Thank you. I lived in Battersea park from 1974-80. And visited many times til I moved to America nearly 30 years ago. And I mean lived in the park, hiding in trees and the adventure playground.. yeah, one of those childhoods.. I appreciate the walk through memory lane. I went t to school at William Blake school, that was just round the corner from Battersea park, which then merged with Sir Walter Snt Johns school on Battersea high street.. I was a street kid, working Clapham junction market through the years of school, but hustled anything that made money, when I left school I started working at The London Palladium theatre, and had the pleasure of seeing Rowan do a Royal performance for The Queen and prince Charles.. London was my teenage playground. Whether it was Carnaby street, or Hyde park, or Any of the very many London street markets, my heart belongs to London, to the theaters, to Yul Bryner and Virginia McKenna in the King and I, or Elaine Paige in Evita.. I worked so many theaters, for 2 years, then became a London Underground train driver. I know I’m waffling, London was different back then, life was different. . In my latter teens I lived on Bob Marley Way, just off Railton road in Brixton. It was the hood, a police no go zone, riots and crime galore, but at the weekends the locals blocked off railton road and had a Jamaican/Trinidadian style party just about every week. Steel drums, street food from the Caribbean, it was a perfect place and time to be a young man in London.. and now at 60, I live in a swamp in Florida.. .. again , thank you.

Thanks very much for doing this, despite being such a globally known show the locations are quiet, which is a good thing, and thankyou for not just showing the location shot itself but the surrounding area, that tunnel always looked like it must be to a train station or something. I was surprised it just leads to more houses. Theres many other spots he went too, I was wondering which beach he went to and also which department store he lined up for during the sale. Perhaps you could do a second installment?

I went to Richmond last year to visit the Ted Lasso filming locations, didn’t realise til i saw this video that I had inadvertently also visited where the Mr Bean opening titles were filmed

I want to go to Daigon Alley and repaint that post white again.
I'm guessing you filmed these locations when you were in London for the Voyage shows. Judging by the sign on the alley, it looks like Harry Potter was filmed there as well.
I filmed it in May 2022 (see description). The sign "Diagon Alley" just seems to be a coincidence. That location for "Harry Potter" was filmed on set at Leavesden Studios.
