Hey, just a bit of information - 20 days ago, a friend of mine took delivery of his Interceptor at Bangalore - the entire lot of bikes that had come had Ceat tyres as OE fitment. I am told, due to the ban of tyre imports (tyre companies in India, instead of upping their game have chosen the easier route to convince the government to ban the import of tyres) - only those are available, are those which are not manufactured in India
Sorry but options of tires are wide and varied. Problem is cost and you don’t spend the money. Why did you buy a RE 650 and not a Triumph Bonni? Re is half the price here in Australia and the Triumph is not twice the bike unless your trying to race! Get a better buy price on the stock tires my friend and save yourself all the drama and cost. Dunlop’s front and Bridgestone rear work without any problems for me and cheaper than stock tires.

Hello. Did you stick to the stock size or did you go up to 110 at the front and 140 at the rear? I’m about to replace my tyres and I’m considering the Sport Demons. Thanks.
Hi that was a great discussion abt INT tyre......can we get same in depth abt INT silencer that can get off from road police and registered from RTO ....
@@happinessperkm what RTO look for basically is the question....Is it the loud sound (that is illegal off course) but what abt silent silencer that will reduce the bike weight.
I might be wrong But the tyre wobble is due to the soft suspension setup,I changed my front suspension and adjusted preload on rear and found a lot of difference
The primary reason for stock tyres wearing out so quickly on twins is that, the one being supplied with bike has lesser tread depth than the one available in aftermarket. The after market ones of the same make have more tread depth than the one suppled with bike. Its just a corporate way of making things feel premium using cheaper variant.
I don't think so.. There is a video on CZcams (channel name Stuart Filinghan) where he explains that tread depth are same as that supplied on the Bonnevilles.. it's just that country of origin is different as internal construction of the tyre is different from the ones that come with Bonnevilles..:)
I have the 2021 GT(rocker red) delivered in october. It came with ceat tyres. I haven't done any major touring, but went from lucknow to kanpur (100kms) and back the same day(200kms total). I feel like ceat is just not enough, works fine for city rides and the story ends there. I entered the wrong lane on a toll during my journey and as soon as I applied breaks, the front tyre slipped. It has since happened thrice(not in the particular journey tho). I'm 70kgs and wasn't having luggage. I have no experience of the Pirelli tyres but I'm really looking forward to changing ceat tyres for sure, since the performance is just meh and not confidence assuring. I just hope MRF to come up with a quality product for this bike.
I liked the Ceat Zoom tyres and was happy to finally get a good option in budget but then I realised they are tube tyres and my rims have been converted to tubeless. Predicament 🙄
A really nice video on Interceptor tyres with in depth analysis... I am also planning to replace my Ceat tube type tyres to tubeless ones... Zeroing in on the Ralco Speed Blasters in stock dimensions... As no other option I could see... Shall try out the Ralcos and maybe then share my experience... Thanks for the inputs
@@happinessperkm I'm in Berlin, I got them from a local dealer here. But I am certain they are widely available. I've put around 300km on these tyres now and I am very happy. Also they are long lasting. I too only got 7k km from my stock set.
Costs as low as 5k by some Indian manufacturers and about 14k by world renowned brand named Outex. Works only with tubeless tyres. Labour cost is about 2.5k
I can totally relate, my rear tyre wore out in 4000 kms on the interceptor. And Pirelli India aren't responding to my warranty claim (noticed cracks developing on it + balding) , even RE goa tried contacting them. Yet no response. I love the bike, but the tyres are disappointing the whole experience.

Hi, ceat is already out, i got it. I took for a 350 km ride, it was pretty good except once, I had a serious wobble at the front when I climbed a flyover and just crossed the top at 100 kmph. I felt may be i made a mistake of not slowing down before reaching the top. Another common thing, when I switch lanes at > 80 kmph, we hit the reflectors on toll roads and I feel a small wobble.
I too own interceptor since 2019 June. Changed the back tyres at 12k. Stick with Pirelli sport comp itself. At 18k I changed front tyre. Pirelli or metzeler was not in stock. Went with ceat cruz. Yet to get the expert from ceat as I had done just 20km only after tyre change. Pirelli may be costly but I feel it’s more safe with the grip levels even on wet roads. I used a duke 200 before. The stock mrf lost grip every now and then. Changed them to Michelin still the grip we’re not up to mark.
@@crazydude9496 I have used it for less than 400kms. Riding is low due to monsoons here in Kerala. They seems ok in this short experience. Didn’t loose grip so far.
I have a BS4 GT 650, which came with Pirelli Phantom and it last for around 10k KM, I switched to the Ceat Zoom Cruze. They seem to be a great pair of rubber for the twins, I rode around 3k KM with the new Ceat pair and I can easily recommend it. INR 6.7k here in Kolkata.
Ceat would be good option, but there should be more options in other brand like MRF, MICHELIN, ETC. As Interceptor & GT650 are sold in large number around india and world wide.
With the import ban. Options dried up or too expensive. Even Ceat which has Good reports is not readily available ! If there were options available the reason for the video would not exist !
Hello, Grt Content! I own an interceptor too. 1) Planning to go for Way2speed tubeless conversion. 2) Heard (Not confirmed), that the stock Ceat is a tubed tires and we can't use them if we have tubeless converted. 3) Even if RE launches the alloy wheels option, if the CEAT is tubed, what tire will they provide for alloys? Confused & no word from RE too!
Hi. Yes the current oem ceat is tubed. But heard on the street that tubeless may be coming. Other tubeless options are Timsun, Pirelli. Happy Hunting :)
Very very very important issue you raised. This is exactly the same problem I'm also facing. And even if we want to go for stock Pirelli tyres, they are not available in the market. In entire Pune market there is only one option and that is Ralco. Ceat don't have rear tyre for Interceptor. Therefore I gone with ceat front and Ralco rear for my Rajasthan Trip. I was helpless....😥😡
Keep calm, ride Ralco! I have them on my CL500 and theyre cool!....and the new tyres are CEATs...that too, TUBETYPE!...a deslbreaker for me, so bye bye twins.
Shanks and Ashish, you guys are fabulous. What observations man. In fact, I've been watching you both for quite some time especially for Interceptor. I own a Meteor at present and am planning to exchange it for an Interceptor. I didn't have so much info about tyres. I'll be waiting for your future videos with a solution to this problem. BTW, I'm from Kolkata. If you plan to ride somewhere near Kolkata, let me know. Time permits would love to meet you, guys. And yes, a fifteen minutes of Chai pe charcha about your experience rides on motorcycles and rides on motorcycles only.
Ralco was my 2nd tyre I changed back to Pirelli last Dec 20 at nearly 10k run.it could have gone upto 12k but I had a ride so had to change.but the problem is the confidence level goes after 5k since I had lots of tyre skidding issues and grip becomes lesser and lesser.
@@happinessperkm the question was that your stock tyres lasted just 9.5k kilometres.. Too less.. even with hard riding I think it's too less.. I am not an expert but I am saying this as I am nearing 8k kms on my GT and tyres look like they can go another 4-5k kms atleast..
In fact I bought the Pirelli sets from amazon for 6.6k pair even though it's old I did not want to invest much seems good but need to be carefull on speeds have a lite cracks on the rear but ok

Thanks Akshay. We are doing great. With supporters like you. It’s the genuineness of content and support we seek and God has been very kind to us. 😊🤞🏻
I just got a interceptor and it has ceat tires on it
Yeah.. The new models has ceat tyres
Ralco tyre sucks. It has hard compound. I dosn't have good traction. Sir I suggest u go for Ceat Zoom Cruz tt63H tyre 130 70 18. It has dual compound. Recently I installed on my int 650. It's a really good tyre. It Coste 4137 rupees.
Ok thanks for sharing 😊
is RE listening .....!!
✌🏻
Great content!👌🏽 Really hope RE would give the attention these twins deserve as a flagship model🙏🏽
Thanks bud
Hey, just a bit of information - 20 days ago, a friend of mine took delivery of his Interceptor at Bangalore - the entire lot of bikes that had come had Ceat tyres as OE fitment. I am told, due to the ban of tyre imports (tyre companies in India, instead of upping their game have chosen the easier route to convince the government to ban the import of tyres) - only those are available, are those which are not manufactured in India
Thanks for sharing.
I watched a video on CZcams about a bombay guy who owns an interceptor, for him the wobbling problem was something to do with the fork setup.
Thanks for sharing.
I can completely feel you guys
Thanks buddy 😊
Sorry but options of tires are wide and varied. Problem is cost and you don’t spend the money. Why did you buy a RE 650 and not a Triumph Bonni? Re is half the price here in Australia and the Triumph is not twice the bike unless your trying to race! Get a better buy price on the stock tires my friend and save yourself all the drama and cost. Dunlop’s front and Bridgestone rear work without any problems for me and cheaper than stock tires.
Hi the tyre options here in India are very limited. Cheers ✌🏻
Great conversation... Hope something good comes up before i had to change my bike tyres... Mixed reviews all over the market about these few brands... Hope u find something soon for all of us👍
Thanks for watching 😊
I switched to ralco from perrelli. The immediate sense of not able to corner enough was scary.
Yes agreed ✌🏻
Any updates on tyres sir?
No buddy. Stock CEAT have very good reports
Tired of finding tires. Gosh!! Why 18 inchers?
Our thoughts exactly !
You guys hit the 🎯...
Hope to see video on better tyre options from you guys !! 😃
Thanks a lot buddy
Great content HPK...hope you find the right tyres soon and hit the tarmac 👍
Thanks Vikas ! 😊
Really appreciate
Thanks 😊 for watching buddy
I replaced my stock tyre with pirelli sport demons..although better than the stock..i still got wobbling issues...you are absolutely right...this frustrated me so much that i sold the bike after 1 yr of ownership...
Hi Ayush. Sadly any after market silencer is technically illegal.
@@happinessperkm what RTO look for basically is the question....Is it the loud sound (that is illegal off course) but what abt silent silencer that will reduce the bike weight.
100% agree about this issue..I own an int650 and facing same issue
Thanks for watching buddy
I might be wrong
But the tyre wobble is due to the soft suspension setup,I changed my front suspension and adjusted preload on rear and found a lot of difference
Hi. Accurate observations to an extent. Already running a stiffer front (heavier fork oil ) and rear shockers in the hardest setting since Mar 2019 :)
Hi Palury, can you share more details about your suspension upgrade. I'm considering way2speed kit. Your review will be greatly appreciated.
I'm going to try Avon Roadriders next, very good reviews & cheap to buy here in England.
Hey Steve. Avon are really good but nearly impossible to get here and pricey.
There is a video on CZcams (channel name Stuart Filinghan) where he explains that tread depth are same as that supplied on the Bonnevilles.. it's just that country of origin is different as internal construction of the tyre is different from the ones that come with Bonnevilles..:)
czcams.com/video/YYXx9ogQ0lM/video.html
Wobble. Are your triple tree bearings greased?
Valuable feedback. Thanks 😊
There were frustrations but people still loves RE products
Oh yes indeed.
I have been hoping RE will launch clean looking alloys for the twins.
It’s been “coming soon” forever 😁
ceat zoom cruz which comes in 2021 model as a stock.
Thanks buddy.
Pls do a video on the mods done on your bike as I can see the exhaust looks like stock but not and the indicators really look better than stock.
Hi Rahul. We did a video on the mods on the Interceptor here > czcams.com/video/RdmJOwHEA1A/video.html
I liked the Ceat Zoom tyres and was happy to finally get a good option in budget but then I realised they are tube tyres and my rims have been converted to tubeless.
Predicament 🙄
Try Timsun 697. Really good tyres
Is your wobbling solved? And please suggest me r18 tyres im tyred of finding perilli
very true! my stock tires were balder than me by 7000 kms
😁 what did u change to ?
@@happinessperkm switched to Ralco for the Rear and Ceat grip for the front, running like a charm.
Awesome. Thanks for sharing
@@thebaldtarzan6165 how are they now? Any better options?
Reason for R18's , my guess would be for ground clearance . 17 inchers tend to scrape especially with a pillion
Yes fair point
A really nice video on Interceptor tyres with in depth analysis... I am also planning to replace my Ceat tube type tyres to tubeless ones... Zeroing in on the Ralco Speed Blasters in stock dimensions... As no other option I could see... Shall try out the Ralcos and maybe then share my experience... Thanks for the inputs
Thanks for watching 😊
How are they?
I feel your pain. Try Michelin Pilot Activ. I have these on my INT650. I’m happy.
Hey thanks Vishal. Could you please let
Us know where did you get them and prices.
@@happinessperkm I'm in Berlin, I got them from a local dealer here. But I am certain they are widely available. I've put around 300km on these tyres now and I am very happy. Also they are long lasting. I too only got 7k km from my stock set.
Thanks Vishal
18:54 Continuing the pun-ing, spoked wheels speak to Ashish!
😂 ✌🏻
How are the New Stock Ceat Zoom Cruz Tyres?
Can you please share information on tubeless conversion.
✌️🏻
Just got my INT 650 delivered with CEAT tyres
Congratulations! How do the Ceat tyres ride ?
@@happinessperkm just done 70 kms till now. So far so good. Planning a 2000 km ride once I get my first service done. Will update.
Thanks
@@happinessperkm just did a 350 km ride, as of now, didn't have any wobble issues. Feels planted on corners. I'm not sure what other parameters should one check. Lemme know if there are any specific things that need to be checked.
Hey Varun. That is really good to hear. Hopefully CEAT works Out. . Keep them inflated as per manual and see if it all works out.
Hey Venkatesh. Thanks for watching & sharing 😊. Please do share more feedback asap.
@@happinessperkm definitely will do !
Yes Pirelli are pricey but worth it
How are the ceats?
@@crazydude9496 I have used it for less than 400kms. Riding is low due to monsoons here in Kerala. They seems ok in this short experience. Didn’t loose grip so far.
I have a BS4 GT 650, which came with Pirelli Phantom and it last for around 10k KM, I switched to the Ceat Zoom Cruze.
They seem to be a great pair of rubber for the twins, I rode around 3k KM with the new Ceat pair and I can easily recommend it.
INR 6.7k here in Kolkata.
Thanks 😊 a lot for the recommendation ✌🏻
@@happinessperkm Happy to help.
One more suggestion, if you're facing the wobbling issue. Check the ball racer - cone set.
I replaced pirelli with ceat a month back (couldn't find pirelli) .
Ride feels smooth. No wobbling which i faced in pirelli. (400km done)
Nice. Thanks for sharing.
Which ceat?
Both the front and rear tires are H rated
Try Pirelli sport demon.
Yes the r 18’s have limited choices and how !
May i know how it perfomed for you?
Keep calm, ride Ralco! I have them on my CL500 and theyre cool!....and the new tyres are CEATs...that too, TUBETYPE!...a deslbreaker for me, so bye bye twins.
Yes we are going to try ralco soon
Side mounted brown bags are looking good n useful one. Where can I get it??
Thanks buddy. Pls check raw & rugged on insta. We ordered from there
RE should at least give continental GT 650 17" alloys
Thank you for all the love bro.
Can you recommend some tyres for meteor 350 ?
Stock tyres are good enough
Solution is only relco
Ralco. Yes. ✌🏻
Great to hear that Ralco worked well for you. Many thanks 😊 for sharing.
I hope RE has fixed this issue with CEAT tyres. Plus Pocket friendly 👍 pls do a review about the CEAT tires
Hi yes we will post lockdown ✌🏻
Hi where did u get the side leather bag for interceptor 650 plz reply and tell me what it is called
Rugged leather from Instagram
Check the Pirelli Sport Demon tyre
Already done but thanks 😊
9.5 k KMs..???
What is the Question?
@@happinessperkm the question was that your stock tyres lasted just 9.5k kilometres.. Too less.. even with hard riding I think it's too less.. I am not an expert but I am saying this as I am nearing 8k kms on my GT and tyres look like they can go another 4-5k kms atleast..
Great !
Ceat zoom is best the new ones.. a good review coming in around n has been in buzz
In fact I bought the Pirelli sets from amazon for 6.6k pair even though it's old I did not want to invest much seems good but need to be carefull on speeds have a lite cracks on the rear but ok
Thanks for sharing 😊
Hi, I liked those tank pads alot, please share the links or product info pls
Hey buddy. Mine are custom. You can get them made from raw & rugged. Check them out on insta
Sir i saw a Fortnine video ( how manufacturers trick you) which told the stock tires from pirelli phantom tires that come with the bike are different from the pirelli phantoms that you might fetch from the market. Moreover now you get CEAT zoom.....
Well, what he said in that video is absolutely right. Some brands and tyre companies are indeed hand in glove.
Have done 10500 kms and my tyres have already worn out. Can’t find a alternate option for the stock tyres yet. Been riding slowly since then so i could stretch it for a 1000 more kilometers lol.
Can understand ur pain. BTW we are
Getting good feedback on CEAT
What did you choose?
@@crazydude9496 got my Pirelli's up to 13k kms. Changed to ceat after that. They're equally good but Pirelli's are a lil better.
Sir you are taking my heart content, am fed up thinking what tyre to choose & tired of wobble issue ,done with RE regarding this issue, please do a solution video in future ,if you find a solution it would be a great help to Many RE twins rider's, Ride safe & Stay safe Brother
Hey Ravi. It’s a great motorcycle and once you have it in rhythm. U will love it. For the wobble keep ur air pressure as per manual, rims balanced, spokes trued and it should help. If it’s still there. Ask the ASC to look into it. We are hearing promising things about the Ceat tyres and will do a review soon. Ride safe buddy and many thanks for watching our channel.
Hi sir 🙌
Great video and amazing content
I have been using Pirelli stock tyre i loved them too
It’s great tyre loved them & now due to lack of options here I bought ralco it’s not great but I am adjusting my self now, bike feels heavy from rear end , do not lean bike unless you are Valentino rossi😉 (I don’t feel enough confident it’s good till 100 -120 ) and later on thinking about zoom Cruz.
Thanks for watching 😊 dear friend
Got 19k on my stock and replaced it with Ceat, got to say the Ceats dont wobble and way better than Stock, rode it for 1k now..the seats ceats make are a two thumps up
Thanks 😊 for sharing.
Which ceats?
Hello sir,
A fellow gt650 rider here. First of all, I must mention that this is going to be a timeless classic video till the time RE comes up with alloy wheels or some Indian brand decides to step up their game, now that we have so many twins on the indian roads. That being said, I am in a really big dilemma regarding what tyre setup to chose? I mean I got the ceat zoom cruz f as standard stock ones on my gt 650 and after 11k kms and a planned ladakh trip, Im now on a continuous hunt for new tyres. So sir, what would you suggest now after almost a year of making this video??
Further, some of the fellow riders have switched the back rim with meteor ones as they are plug and play R17 sizes and the front ones with dominar or mojo R17 front alloys, although with a bit of modification. Any thoughts on this setup sir?
Hi. Tyre options are still limited. 17” rims from the meteor on the rear seems to work well.
