I usually tour 800 odd kms once in two months, mainly on the highways in West Bengal and other neighbouring states. Now I'll buy an Interceptor 650 and shall keep both the bikes. Hi Ashish, requesting information on sourcing the RD 350 handle bar. I am from Mumbai, Amazon has some options but unsure of to proceed with it. Also on the electrical harness change for mad dog additional lights, does it affect any other internal electrical elements, I mean this bike does not have a kick start…it’s pure an electric start! Your guidance would be really appreciated.

    • @happinessperkm
      @happinessperkm Před 2 lety +1

      Hi sourcing the RD 350 bar is a lottery. It’s made locally. Suggest use the AOM h/bar > higher quality. No impact of mad dog. See what ur bike is rated for in terms of electrics load and stay below that ✌🏻

    Interceptor is not that one motorcycle which you've quoted as "Do it all", The deserving motorcycle is Himalayan! Interceptor is great bike for Highway touring and urban commutes. But it's short tank range, compromised riding ergonomics and low ground clearance doesn't make it "Do it all" bike and it's journey ends where the road ends. On the flip side, Himalayan is built for all roads and no roads. You buy interceptor for 3.6 lakhs on road and spend additional 30 to 50 thousand on modifications to make it a touring bike 😂
    Best option is to go for Himalayan instead if long distance touring is the only requirement, you can invest the additional 30 to 50 thousand on your safety gears and accessories 🙂

    If you spend so much upgrading a bike , why not go for kawasaki 800.

    • @VikramSingh-iv1hv
      @VikramSingh-iv1hv Před 3 lety +8

      W800 has 5 speed gears transmition, interceptor has short gear ratio which make edge on that in urban and offroad rides
      and buying a bike is not only one time affair
      Twin 650 service and parts cost is drastically cheaper compare to w800 and also RE has huge service network in India
      I found interceptor more agile compare to w800
