    6:51 Mike Strank was a Czech born flag raiser on Iwo Jima featured in the iconic photograph and did not survive the battle.

      He was not Czech, he was Carpatho-Rusyn from a Carpatho-Rusyn
      village in what today is Eastern Slovakia.
