***** generally speaking that is true.. but Ive had larger breeds and one currently is 13. Still doing quite well. My neighbor has a newfie and he is 14... just dont want people to think maybe they shouldnt look at larger breed dogs because they are just going to die after a few years.. that is not the case.
feeding a dog human food is toxic to them just like weed or thc, thats why they start to trip out because there brains dont react the same.

Dogs eat almost exactly the same as we do except where we have fruits dogs have that extra serving of meats.
That is what they are suppose to have nutrition wise.. But thanks to crappy fibbing dogfood companies dogs never get the true diet they are suppose to have anymore.

George is a "great" example of why it would be unfair to pass legislation on dogs as to their size/weight rather than breed. 245 lbs of sugar.

I miss my Great Dane, Gandalf! He pasted away last year (A year ago last month). He was a Harlequin and also a runt but he ended up being the biggest in the litter. He was my baby and I miss him so much. He past a month after his 9th birthday! Miss you Gandalf!!!💗💗💗

Yeah, this didn't really shock me much either. Some people haven't seen an Irish wolf-hound, or a fully grown domestic hybrid wolf. Those dogs are huge.

I've got a greyhound collie cross and kids usually try to jump on his back, I have to tell them not too because he is a powerful working dog he's not your average Lurcher, he's actually really powerful just in case he doesn't know his own strength. I am 6 foot 4 and a half and he can knock me on my arse, imagine what he could do to someone who's not much taller than 3 or 4 feet lol

Giant George is magnificent! Brought to mind, my father always chose the runt of the litter when it came to cats. They also would grow to be quite large. Well fed and cared for. I am a dog person and now in my later years I seem to be picking out the little breeds, but love them all.

My Dane was the only surviver of his litter(his mom suffocated them because it was her first litter). We took him and he grew up to 175 lbs, a baby face and not to tall but he is an amazing dog.

I am so glad this video answered my question of where does a dog of that size sleep?! On a queen sized bed, I was hoping. And I was right! I am so glad to see they feed him a well balanced nutritious meal and give him tons of love. He looks like a gentle Giant. I wish he would live very long:)
My favorite breed. I once had a Harliquin.He was my best friend. I hope that my next dog will be a Dane. They are the most lovable breed.
