    Thanks for your reply. Helped me a lot. Have below the knee amputation on my left side. I can ride it like it is, but it's hard to bend my artifical leg up under me due to pegs being mid mount. I think this will be a big help to me. Again thanks so much Brent

    Thanks for the simple installation video. After watching the video twice I was able to install without an issue. Thanks!! Standing at 6'2" I can say the controls make a world of a difference.

    I have had these on my Rebel 1100 DCT for two years now. I love them as they make longer rides much easier on my knees.

      Thanks for commenting, We are glad that the video was informative for you. We tried to do it as step by step as we could because the directions with the product were kind of lacking...But...it is a GREAT addition to the bike. Happy Trails.

    I have the T-Rex crash bars on my Rebel. A few days ago I hit a deer mostly with the right side of the bike and the crash bars saved my leg. The crash bar got bent back about a foot on the right side. I have the stock pegs on the bike. If I had the forward controls on the bike, they would have gotten destroyed and my leg would have gotten mangled. While this may be a one in a million occurance, I think I'll stick with the stock pegs. I did get a bruise on the inside of my knee from grabbing the tank.

      Hey James! Sorry to hear about your accident, and super glad that you are ok. Thank goodness you had the crash bars!

    Is the rear brake pedal kinda of spongy. I've heard people say that it was. Really liked your install of the t Rex forward controls. I may buy them if the rear brake pedal works well.

    • @IllRollOn-in4fg
      @IllRollOn-in4fg  Před 23 dny +1

      The rear break isn't spongy at all, but if you don't do the proper adjustment on the stock break cable I could see where it would be.

    Great video!!
    I own a DCT and with the 27" seat height, and current mid controls, it's killing my hips!!
    I am really looking fwd to putting these on!!
    Edit: I have heard that the controls stick out, which causes wind to catch your knees, and some people explain the feeling like they're doing a splits and having hip pains
    Has anyone else experienced this experienced this

    • @IllRollOn-in4fg
      @IllRollOn-in4fg  Před 2 měsíci +1

      The controls dont stick out any further than stock, although they appear to. The addition of floor boards with the forward controls helps emencely. As far as the wind catching your legs and pushing them out goes, this is not uncommon on a variety of bikes. My Harley Fatboy was really bad about it at highway speeds where my new street glide doesn't at all. Christy says she hasn't experienced this issue on hers.

      @IllRollOn-in4fg Actually, I traded it in for a Triumph Tiger Sport660
      Very easy decision
      Much better upright riding position. More torque, style, and comfort.
      I liked my Rebel, but it was just not meant for me at 6ft tall

    With the forward controls, is there any interruption between Rear Break Pedal and Engine Guard? If Full Break on Rear Wheel?

    • @IllRollOn-in4fg
      @IllRollOn-in4fg  Před 2 měsíci +1

      No there isn't because the extended brake pedal is totally adjustable.

    You didn’t want an Indian Scout with forward controls already?

    • @IllRollOn-in4fg
      @IllRollOn-in4fg  Před 9 měsíci

      No, the weight of the Scout was a bit much and I liked the DCT feature on the Honda. a bigger bike is in the future, but not until I get more confident as a new rider. My husband has a Harley and really tried steering me that direction, but you like what you like I guess.

    Do yourself (and the next owner) a favor and go buy some metric wrenches. Nothing 's worse than buying a bike that someone has stripped out all the allen head screws with SAE allen wrenches.

    • @IllRollOn-in4fg
      @IllRollOn-in4fg  Před 6 měsíci

      Thanks for watching, and thanks for the comment. I highly agree with you about the metric wrenches, and I indeed do own a set. However that day a few of my tools were out of place and I was unable to locate them. I assure you that there is nothing stripped on this bike. Parts are expensive and I dont take that lightly, nor would I put my wife on something shoddy or shoddily put together.
