    So many reactors just say "wow that beat boxer is really good". Your expertise and talent on the topic provide so much more depth and insight. Thank you for educating us non beatboxers. You provide some of the best reactions I've seen. Hope all is well with your job. Take care

    Tim Foust the Base of the group actually does some of the beatboxing. The part where he looks like he’s spitting on Rob in front of the cloud scene backdrop so Adam can do the DJ mix

  • @gremcs

    Chris Rupp just analysed this video, and said that during the time when Adam was scratching, Tim (their bass) was actually doing that speed snare!

    I really appreciate the demonstrations you give us. The camera never focuses on Adam (or Kevin) long enough for us to see what he's doing, but you give us a closeup demo. Thank you!

    Definitely watch Adam Rupp's "Drum Solo". The first half is all drums, and the second half is DJ and other mixed sounds. Another excellent a cappella beat boxer is Layne from Voiceplay. ... Guy

  • @toddhutchins2492
    @toddhutchins2492 Před 2 lety +8

    There's a point, when Adam is doing the scratching, Tim is doing the beatboxing and Chris is covering the bass line. All the guys in the group can beatbox, not to Adam's level, but they help cover when Adam is doing something else.

  • @kathysnyder876
    @kathysnyder876 Před 3 lety +28

    Adam does not play drums... he does play trumpet. He's totally self taught but has been learning and perfecting since 2000. He keeps adding new sounds! Thanks!

    • @jypsy2000
      @jypsy2000 Před 3 lety +4

      I think he does play drums. I recall him saying at one time that he took them up to help his beatboxing skill. I don't think he's as proficient at them as he is with the trumpet, but enough to help add some additional authentic vibe to his beatbox performance. (if we rely on Wikipedia's wisdom, he also can play piano and bass guitar)

    • @tarjaikola
      @tarjaikola Před 3 lety +6

      Adam knows how to play drums enough to mimic drumming in his beatbox solo. His mother says he is most excellent in playing bass guitar. He majored in trumpet playing. I believe he can play any instrument he picks up😄

    Beatboxer here is very different from Kevin in Pentatonix. I think Adam is extremely good with the whole drum set sound. He also has number of other skills for various sounds such as a harmonica. React to Adam Rupp beatbox solo on youtube.

    • @theneoenigma2094
      @theneoenigma2094 Před 3 lety +2

      I think that when it comes to comparing Kevin and Adam, they are each the best in their respective genres. Kevin does hip hop, pop, and dubstep type beats, while Adam tends to stick to the drum kit and other acoustic sounds. If you compare each of them to just a drum kit, Adam sounds damn near identical.
