When you say "leave your kids at home" at where exactly? Are you aware some people have no one around them to take care of their kids? Better put, let the parents stay back home in Nigeria until their kids are grown.

Sad that you have to leave your own country to come to UK. Nigeria needs to do better for their citizens

I feel so bad for the woman. I am completing a Masters in Social Work here in the UK so i know a little on the subject. If you know her, tell her to bring someone from her family back home who can be assessed for them to hand over the children to. They will not give her the children because they think she is s danger to them. However, they agree that children thrive better within their family units. People dont know but you can volunter a grandparent or aunty etc from outside the UK to look after your children than leaving them in the system. That way, she will have access to them through her family.

So sad. I think government should deport her with her children if deportation is the penalty to her actions. Bcos coming back home without her kids will be devastated to her. Thanks the info

Can I live those kids alone at home overnight if the eldest son is up to16 years and the youngest 4 years?

The truth of the matter is that some people have left their children back home and regretted it immensely. Unfortunately, it is later that some parents will find out somethings that happened when they were not there. God help us all. For me, i came alone with my child prepared to spend on professional childcare. If i couldn't afford it, I wouldn't leave her, neither would i come.

What happened to her is sad. Not everyone can leave their children at home because they dont trust anyone to take care of their children. Id rather say, if you have to come alone with your children, come with enough money to pay for childcare so they are safe while you work.

Her employers had no choice but to fire her. Her children were taken from her. Means she no longer has a DBS (police clearance) to work with vulnerable people.

People have brought children to this country, treated them terribly and killed them. Google Victoria Climbie an 8 yr old from Cameroun that suffered and died. The government now safeguards all children.

I lived in Canada. I came with my daughter, guys I was in and out of court. I regret ever bringing her. A small single mistake like her missing the school bus the social worker is involved. I was like what kind of nuisance is this. One time she got a ride from our neighbour to o school. I landed in court for my daughter to get a ride in a male person car. I was like why why me. Now she is 18. I literally moved back to Botswana. I don't care. I was fed up. I am sitting home with their paper. Better be in Africa than to be followed.
