    Never mind about Change Cars Alan, can we Change Jobs???Geeez!
    Nice one Alan, looked like a lot of fun. Those 5 doors are going to sell faster than the 3 doors, all for a meager R40k extra! Gary

    The same media drive Suzuki did in India with Jimny’s. Guess what, it flopped in India due to its shortcomings; 1) sluggish in hills while climbing 2) poor mileage with smaller engine, even in 2H 3) vibrations in gear level (MT), which seems like a diesel engine 4) Overpriced.
    Last but not the least, this 5 door Jimny has Axle wrapping issues which increases with time while one goes steep uphill in 1st gear while accelerating , there is going to be screeching noise. Maybe because of longer wheel base.

      I find your comments very interesting. Driving brand new vehicles, we experienced none of the issues that you mentioned. Driving a Jimny always requires a relaxed approach but it handled all road conditions without complaint or strain. Fuel consumption for an overall trip of 550km which included very long periods in 4x4 low range and the overall fuel consumption for the entire trip was 8.7l/100km.

      @@MotorMatters maybe you didn’t properly read as to how axle wrap happens. We drive in Himalayas here. Anyhow good luck. Maybe the real offroaders will come up with its shortcomings

      @@tegbir1007Man I see the same comment almost everywhere , don't know what u r trying to do . Not sure about axle wrapping but I have test driven it twice and ;
      1. I never felt it's sluggish in hills. It's adequate and definitely perform better than FWD cars using same engines like Vitara Brezza , Scross etc... doesn't give u kick in pants feel like turbos I agree but not bad to call sluggish , especially if u r used to 3 cylinder tata petrol or NA Hyundai Kia engines in hills .
      2. FE depends on driving and is expected for a 4*4 petrol. These are people getting anywhere between 12-17 kmpl from Jimny.
      3. Gear level vibration is because of how it's mounted to engine unlike it's FWD driven siblings .
      4. Jimny 3 door is much more expensive when converted into INR in many countries they are sold in . In the end India is getting 5 door at a cheaper price relative to that . It's a proper ladder frame 4*4 . It's available in top 2 trims and comes quite feature loaded if compared to the features of what u r getting in it's so called main rivals .
      Note that these people are familiar with how and what a Jimny is for years now and they have accepted it as it is long ago , unlike many Indians who thinks it's an all new product , thus new to it and had unrealistic expectations about it thus ended up in disappointment . For these people it's just a five door version of the same 3 door product they have been using for years . So they won't call it or think it as a bad product unless they feel / experience the same then again expectation is different for them . Lol😂

      @@BloodySweetBadass I don’t know how practical an off-roader are you. Yup based on your lengthy explanation, seems to be from Suzuki sales team. If otherwise and you can’t find the fault of so called axle wrapping, why don’t you visit India and I will pay one way for your Air ticket and show you what I am talking about , and you would also get some practical on hand experience. As far as overpriced issue, it’s you vs the rest of India .

      @@tegbir1007 So whoever who don't agree with u are from Suzuki sales team ? That's a great logic to go by . My experience is purely from my test drive which lasted hardly 20-30 mins no extensive use .Nowhere I have claimed that I am a hard-core offroader at all by any means . And I never said it's doesn't have axle wrapping issue . I have commented that I am not sure of it because I never heard the same from anyone else other than u .
      And last , calling a car flop when it hasn't been even 6 months since it started selling is a bit too early to judge . I guess it has sold atleast 1.7-2k units every month in some months close to 4K units . Now if u comparing it with Thar sales , that sales comes from both diesel( 1.5 RWD and 2.2L 4*4 ) as well as 2L petrol (RWD and 4*4) combined . Even Thar has its own issues atleast to a large portion of customers . And people are obviously buying it for Wrangler like looks .
      Maybe u didn't read my previous comment since it was long and assumed things on ur own as u didn't pay attention .Going by ur logic I guess it's not wrong to assume that u r either from Mahindra or Force Sales team . 😂😂😂
