I also hate loose powder! I caved and bought one but ugh I just don't like it. It's so messy and when I'm trying to do my makeup fast, which already takes a good 30 minutes, I have to clean up powder, too. And I can't toss it in my purse because God forbid it opens up inside! 100% team pressed powder here
@@artaleasham4105thankfully it hasn't happened to me yet. I've had my pressed powder open up in my purse before and there was a little mess but not bad at all. Imagining loose powder in that situation tho 😱 scary but yes funny
Yeah, I've bought a loose powder once bc I had run out of the powder I usually use and there was no pressed one (or at least none that would work on my super oily skin) so I bought a loose one to just have something. Well, it's been 2 years and the thing I had bought then just stands on my shelf and is used only when I have more than an 1 h to do my make up.... Yeah.... great purchase
To me, the loose powders with the best packaging are the Maybelline ones. I bought the I Heart Revolution loose powder that has a pressed and loosed powder, and when you open the loose powder part which is at the bottom, it literally gets EVERYWHERE. I love how it blurs my skin, but I hate how messy it is….
I hate that maybelline packaging😭 love the powder tho. I hate how it’s square n then the circle I’m the middle is so small I can’t filt my powder puff in right😭 my favorite packaging is the wet n wild one cuz it’s really big n round n the powder is pretty good too I used it religiously for like 3yrs n it’s only $5
@@adri_makeup ooo I’ll have to try it! i’ve heard good things about it and wet n wild is such a good brand so I’ll definitely try to get my hands on it 💖
Interesting! I love that LYS powder as well. It is an especially good powder for someone with dry skin because it really doesn’t emphasize texture at all. But I have a light skin tone and never knew how well it would look on darker shades. Glad to see it’s versatility! ❤
Kay beauty India has come up with a solution for this for their setting powders. Love the packaging of their loose powder where the lid has spill protection design!
I used to hate lose powder, but since getting older, I have more fine lines under my eyes with pressed powder so I used more lose power now.... With the make up forever lose powder you don't put powder everywhere, you should check it😊
does this mean that loose powder would help with smile lines as well? i have deep and dark smile lines that stay when i don’t smile as well which bother me unfortunately 🥲
@@myelbowsareashy lose powder dries less than pressed powder since you put less product... I won't say it helps more, but rather say that it accentuate less my fine lines ☺️
@@sylviareimers7075 what kind of applicator you use? I use a thick and very dense brush for pressed powder and for loose powder first my beauty blender then a big soft brush that is not sense at all

usually i use loose powder to bake my face when i have the time too because my face is very oily and i want my make-up to last all day, but i use press powder on the days where i don’t where that much makeup.. but i do 100% agree that loose powder can be messy at times 🥲
Girl while opening the seal in the loose powder packaging, don't open fully exposing all the holes try opening just a quater part so that there will be limited product for usage as well as it will be travel friendly!
THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU FOR SAYING SOMETHING ABT THE TALC THANK YOU AGAIN the talc gave one of my closest friends super bad lung problems so thank you for telling the community which ones don’t have talc
I thought I was the only one who couldn't stand the mess of using loose powder. I have the Essence one and haven't tried it yet. I always use the Rimmel london matte powder. It helps with my oily skin. I'm half brown, too. 👋
Well I do dislike loose powders flying everywhere into the room. At the same time I feel like pressed powders do everything I want just fine tbh. I can imagine someone would want a loose powder for their bridal make-up but other than that pressed powder is good enough.
You should check out the new HD beauty powders from makeup 4 ever with like 3 colors that mix into a little place in the center. They have 4 shades and you can customize. It’s like a dupe of the Givenchy loose powdersb
I love her skin sm, like I’m brown too, but her skin just has such a nice warm tone to it, I’ve never seen such a satisfying skin color before😭 (this doesn’t make sense does it?)
You should try the supergoop resetting or glowsetting powder! It’s a makeup and sunscreen setter with a built in brush! When you use it on your face the powder comes out of the brush! i hate loose powder! But his one is a keeper! No mess!😊
Most of the products you have mentioned are not available for some one not living in the US 😢 the worst part is most of these brands do not have international shipping. Kinda sucks! 😭
The Laura Mercier loose powder needs to upgrade their packaging I always have to be strategic to neatly get he powder out and not use too much or it’ll look caked up real quick
There is hack for that. Don't remove the film or sticker completely on your next one. Prick 6 holes with a needle/safely pin ( after sanitizing it ofcourse) and it should work fine. It would dispense right amount every time. You could prick more or less according to how much you use in one go.
This is partially because i am a sfx artist who uses a lot of setting powder, but while i love loose setting powder i hate the fucking packaging so much. It's not actually loose, i know how much i need, just let me get to it.
You wanna use a banana powder instead of translucent for brown skin. Translucent might give u a white cast. Hope that helps! Maybelline Lasting Fix Banana Powder is a good one for brown skin.
Can somebody who knows make up tell me why loose powder exist? I never used it cause it looks messy but is it better than pressed powder in some make up looks or techniques? Why do you prefer it?

Why are they call Banana powder? Do they work for any undercoat toner?
Sorry, very rude of me, thanks for your videos, I really enjoy them as a Latina light brown, it’s hard to find advice for our skin tone ☺️

Idk if you're into Korean makeup, but "Laneige Neo Essential Blurring Finish Powder" is one of the most travel friendly loose powder, srsly recommend
That's why I use compacts, they r so good

if you struggle with a TON of powder coming out, tape like 80% of the holes, it is SO MUCH EASIER to deal with.

TRY THRIVE ITS LIKE NO OTHER it has mesh so not all of the powder comes out at once
The Huda comes with the black sift cover and I keep mine on and I’ve had it for over a year with no issue or mess

Way back in the day (way back) MAC used to sell their loose powder in a glass shaker bottle.

Why are your powders so light ? You need something a bit darker girlie, that's way too light and you're brown. So it clashes.

a yellowish powder
