I need one. My friends have them and they bang, but nobody has the 2.0 Hybrid. I think the 3.0 may be too much for me to handle, unless I get it drilled pin down. 👍

I bought this ball after league Wednesday night and it is a beast!! My very first Widow ever and I had to learn to control it!! I’m a 2-finger bowler and it is my most aggressive ball, yet! I bowled better every game. First gave was 144, second was 177, last game was 226. Can’t wait till next week’s league!!💪🏾💪🏾
The color scheme on this ball reminds me of the first Hammer ball I ever bought, the Hawg Wild….and that Hawg series before Brunswick took over, was just like what the Black Widow series is now.

That ball did you dirty! It is definitely strong. I'd say I would go with the Envy Tour because it keeps everything a bit smoother and can handle a wider range of oil patterns. That is the type of ball you use when you see people having rooster-tails of oil going down the lane... huge volume! Great video!!

Amazing unbiased unfiltered review of the Blackwidow 3.30. I've already bought mine, and it looks like it is going to take some getting used to. I am still kicking myself for getting rid of my purple hammer. Oh well.
The One Encore and Remix also a ton of bang for your buck imo. Got both drilled up last month. Sanded my remix to 2k to use as my big solid asymm.

@michaelfinley, I bought the Harsh Reality ball as soon as it was released and decided to also get the Hammer Black Widow 3.0, about two weeks ago. I bowled a new personal best score game and series with the Harsh Reality the first week I had it, 252 and 791 from 230, 232, & 229. This was during league play and my average is 164. I got a lesson from the local PBA member, pro shop owner before having my Black Widow 3.0 drilled about ten days ago and have been working on learning how to be consistent with it, until today while practicing. In my fifth game I started with a strike, followed by a spare, and then all strikes to finish with my new personal best score of 280! What got me even more excited was that I had two more strikes to start the next game, for a total of twelve strikes in a row. I’m 68 and just started bowling again after a 35 year break due to injuries and two back surgeries. For the first time I feel like a 300 game is within my reach with these two new balls, the Harsh Reality and the Black Widow 3.0.

The 3.0 looks insane but have you seen any deterioration in performance with HK-22 solids? I realize there's only been the Brutal and I think one of the Vibes. However, my experience with the Brutal Collision was that it was the Jesus Christ of solids coming back from everywhere. Probably the best Solid I've ever thrown. But after about 100 games, the performance really wore off. Which makes me concerned about future HK-22 solids. Also the fact that B7 hasn't released many HK-22 Solids despite putting it on virtually all of their pearls. HK-22 on pearls is God Tier, you're only prying my Katana and Paragon from my cold dead hands. But, we're worried about the performance loss in solids. Crazy thought? Your opinion and experience?

Will you compare ot to the violent or brutal collision? I hear the numbers are similar to the Dark Code as far as RG and differential. That'd be something to see as well. I'm actually thinking about this as my first gas mask core ball.

Ball looks very very strong. I doubt it's for me though. 2 handed high rev throwing like 14-15 mph

I love your videos on bowling balls. Iwas looking at getting the Hammer Black Widow 3.0. Am left handed and I believe you drill your balls using your finger tips only. I haven't bowled in 25 years and I normally have my ball drilled to my second joint. Am in my mid 70's now and I was thinking about getting a 12# ball. I like where you say the starting point on the lane 20, 22,25 ect. For me it would be moving to the right instead of the left which you move. if I get the 3.0 would I get the same reaction with drilling the ball to the second joint compared to finger tip? Is getting the 3.0 the right ball I should be getting?Am just bowling for fun with a group of people. Thanks for your video!!!!
If this is the first ball. I would jump straight to a widow. I would go for a ocean Vibe or a Hustle M&M to get an idea of works for you. Jumping to one of the strongest coverstocks on the market I think can be a disadvantage. If you have multiple balls already than yeah you could grab one. The Widow might force you out of your comfort zone. If you don’t want to move left this might now be the right ball.
Is this the same as the overseas Black Widow Toxin? It's also an HK-22 solid that's described as stronger than the 2.0 solid.

I bought the Harsh Reality as soon as it was released and bowled a new personal best score and best series the first week I had it. I’m a 68 year old who just started bowling again this season, after a 35+ year break due to injury and two back surgeries. I started this season with a 155 average and now it’s about 166, and that new personal best was a 252, and a 691 series (230, 232, & 229). I also got a Black Widow 3.0 and got a lesson before I had it drilled ten days ago. Today while practicing, in my fifth game with the Widow 3.0, I got another personal best score of 280, and had two more strikes in the next game, for a total of twelve strikes in a row! I’m pretty new to the game bought my first ball last summer and now I’m looking to get my second. Think the bw hybrid! Current ball is a tropical surge that’s all I got for now
It takes the oil off. If you don't, it will gradually hook less and less. I've seen them demonstrate this with Throwbot. Always wipe the ball off before every shot, unless you're throwing a plastic spare ball, that you don't want to hook.

3.0 is stronger. Stronger coverstock front to back. Katana striker will have a littler more motion down lane. Hits harder? If your bowling on more volume the widow could hit harder, if the lanes are more transitioned the katana could hit harder.
2.0 is good enough!

So I just started bowling a lot last year and the pro shop guy put me with a Bruns' Rhino. Apparently that's a weak beginners ball. I'm a kinda low-rev bowler I guess so on the dry lanes, especially if I play right I can get some decent movement into the pocket. However on league nights with fresh oil I struggle really bad.
I'm now looking to get a stronger hook monster ball. Is this the one for me??
This is definitely an option. Or even the two newer balls the Columbia 309 Pure Madness. If down lane motion is what your looking for you could lean towards a more responsive ball like archetype hybrid or Virtal energy black out.
The best in between ball would be the Absolute Power.

Nothing close at all. Hk22 solid makes this ball a step from all other widows in existence.

3.0 is more down lane, the mindset and extreme are smoother downlane in relation to the 3.0 monster.

How does the 3.0 solid compare to the 2.0 solid? I have the 2.0 solid and even at 500 grit it still hits hard. I assume the 2.0 should be a bit earlier without hk and hk 3.0 may be a little stronger and corner a little harder but not as much as the 2.0 hybrid.
This ball is definitely a step up from the 2.0 much more ball. That can handle more volume. Angular it still can be seen as that.

I would probably only use that ball in my PBA experince league, or in tournments. It is probably too much ball for my house league.

When I recorded the video it was not announced yet, so I couldn’t throw it in league. That is what I was mentioning. It is legal to throw now.

It's only overseas. Not sure if he's thrown that.
But the 2.0 Hybrid is a much different ball than the Ghost.
The 2.0 pearl has the hk22 cover stock where the ghost didn’t have hk22. So I expect it to be cleaner than the ghost. And closer to the 2.0 hybrid.

Gem is earlier for sure, but the widow is more useable hook.

@@TheHype-BowlingI did mine 70 x 5 x30. But I'm 13mph through the pins with big hands( I got revs). It has been amazing so far. I'm going to get another and go 60x4x70. Rounding the motion out should help with my slow speed.
