This isn’t my story, it’s one of my closest friend’s. She was going on a date with a guy and she didn’t seem very interested but was curious about him. Great career and seemed to be the careful type. They went out to a hole in the wall place and before she got to her car he came running at her and pulled her a few feet from her car. She hit him in the gut and brought him to the ground. He told her (while in pain). A woman got into the back seats of her car. She’s really bad at locking at her car btw. They called the police and the woman had a knife on her and was arrested. That was 3 years ago and they are getting married in 7 months. I love their story.

I have 100% been mentally applauding the person from the second story and I honestly admire that she took the responsibility to take action as soon as things began to go south. I hope that overtime more people will follow the advice of people like her so others are less subjected to toxic individuals.
Story #4 found me yelling at my phone, when she agreed to go to the strange guy’s house. Come ON!!!! PEOPLE, DO NOT EVER GO OUT ON A FIRST DATE WITH SOMEONE YOU’VE ONLY EVER MET ONLINE! ALWAYS MEET IN PUBLIC!! Maybe even meet in public places for the first many days, just in case. Better to be safe than sorry!

Story 3. I am from Colombia and I got tell you, Cities as Bogota, Medellin and Cali are full of pimps, scammers and criminal gangs which see tourists as an easy prey and target. So I you don't have a really reliable person who can advise and guide you, don't go alone on a trip like that. Unfortunately this kind of situation happens often even to our own people. My sister long time ago got scopolamine as well and it was a nightmare. They stole her money, jewelry and so on.
That’s terrible, I’m sorry that happened to your sister. I traveled Colombia for two weeks and lived all of it, but like you said we had a good trustworthy guide which kept us out of trouble.

I listen to crime docs on a daily. Especially dating gone wrong... I've survived a DV relationship and these keep me on my toes to not fall for bs... I'm a 1st timer on your channel and have now subscribed. 💞
My story is almost the same as yours except for a couple different things. I listen to crime shows all the time, I survived a DV relationship also, he's now in prison for 2nd degree murder. However I don't go on dating sites as I had already met someone who is good to me and loves me very much. We met 3 months after the DV relationship and that was almost 8 yrs ago. I hope I never have to go online to find a date. Everyone needs to be very careful and always have a backup plan.
I survived a DV relationship but still have nightmares. I will not date anymore period despite doing serious work on myself and self homework. I just will not date again. I have a kitty.

My horror story about a date with a guy who claimed he can cook: I arrived at his place and it was so insanely grimey and disgusting that I had to fight the impulse to turn around and leave immediately. It turns out by "cooking" he meant making a basic salad while intermittently reaching out to touch the dirt encrusted dustbin lid to throw away the scraps. I insisted on rewashing the cut vegetables but I came down with food poisoning anyway. This guy was a grad student but he didn't know the first thing about hygiene.
I feel for you, at that point I would have blew his hair back and told his nasty ass to clean his act up

He wanted to be exclusive after the first date and flipped out on me yelling and all when I was like “I don’t know you” and how that wasn’t a normal reaction to a stranger you only seen once. Blocked his number and he stated calling me from his job. Blocked that number to and it finally stopped. First and last time trying online dating.

All your stories are so good! I found Lets Read a few years ago and just spend the weekends listening while working on projects. My favorite are the ghost stories, but sometimes they honestly get way too creepy when I'm listening in the dark at night. I've listened almost daily for so long but still somehow never (luckily) have come to the end of your videos!

I've unfortunately had 2 different stalkers and it's a horrific experience. I haven't had to call the police thankfully but I've had to lock down my social medias and be very careful of who I added. Smh seriously the worst thing to go through.

Years ago you used to be able to go on blind dates without becoming a scene from A Serbian Film. Now every damn day someone is getting raped or murdered or at a minimum accused of being creepy.
