Hi Lauren, can we get a video on the best/efficient way to pack a personal item to get thru TSA quicker?
@TiffanyNHouston good suggestion! I can try! The hardest part is that all of the airports have different rules. The best thing to do is have a backpack with its own laptop compartment, and to have your liquids easy access!
How do medications work going through airport security? I have epilepsy and this is my first time flying but I don't want them to try and throw it out. Any suggestions?
@@IntrovertedSinger Your medications will never be thrown out.
Seems like lots of US airports are different. I never carry liquids, no laptop, plastic belt buckle, slip on shoes, one bag and nearly every time there is something different. And, I have TSA pre-check. Don't mind security but frustrated by differences at airports. If you get TSA pre-check be sure to add global entry. It is so worth it for very little money if done at same time.
Yes I agree, they are all so different!
I haven't travel for ten years due to the stress and trauma at the airport security check in the past.
Hopefully knowing what to expect can help you when you choose to travel again. Happy to help if I can ❤️
I put everything in my zippered jacket pockets and that goes in the bin. That lets me put my jacket back on and I know I have everything with me
Same!
Great idea!
electronics included right ?
Great info for beginners, and a good reminder for others, Lauren! I had a souvenir with me on our way home from Alaska that tied up the line for a bit. It was stained glass in the shape of an ulu knife, so they only saw what they thought was an ulu knife in x-ray. I stayed calm as they took it out, and I explained it's stained glass. I just felt bad for holding up the line, but I love my souvenir!
That makes a lot of sense! Good to know!
THANK YOU!!! I am flying tomorrow for the first time in 12 years and have been freaking out about going thru any changes going thru security check. I had already packed before watching your video, but everything you said I had done. So, I'm feeling a little better about it.
You’re welcome! Good luck!
Very helpful! Thanks!
You’re welcome! Glad to hear it :)
I have seen a lot of different people do these same kind of videos and yours is the best and most accurate I have seen. The only thing Clear does is get you to the front of the line to have you boarding pass and I.D. checked, If you have got Pre Check either by Global Entry or signed up for it remember that it does not guarantee you will get Pre Check 100 % of the time.
Wow, thank you! 😊
Thanks, Lauren!
You’re welcome!
Succinct! ❤
I’ve been watching a bunch of vids and IMHO yours is the best organized and most useful.
Thx!
Aw thank you so much, we appreciate that! Please let me know if there is ever a topic you want a video about! ❤️
Hope I’m replying in the correct place.
Do u have any content on getting through customs efficiently? Or, how to pack GoPro cameras, chargers etc to ease the TSA screening process? I was thinking of putting them in those 1qt clear TSA bags so I can easily put them in a bin if needed.
As u can tell I’m a newb with international travel.
Your liquids have to be in a clear bag. Most of your camera gear or electronics can stay in your bag unless they tell you to take it out. If that’s the case, just do anything they say :) in other countries, I often have to take out every thing from my backpack.
In my personal bag I have a plastic bag with things like my iPad kindle that sort of thing that I just pull out then when through security I put the items away properly. I found that it just saves me a lot of faffing about
“TSA screaming” yuuup, sounds about right 😂
I just went through w your videos ( titles ) ,you really cover everything !!! Lol. You're awesome !! I've gotta have marathon nights of watching your videos pretty soon !!! LOL 👍 😆 👍👍💜🥁🐉🎤🎶✈️💞
Yay! Thank you!
Thanks!
So sweet of you, thank you ❤️
This is a great video! I have Global Entry and it is great to go to a special line for international flights and when I came home going through customs was a breeze!! I do have to add one important thing- if you bring food like a burrito 🌯 which my friend did, she was stopped by the TSA Officer because she wrapped the burrito in foil. My friend had her bean and cheese burrito scanned for about 5 minutes and she held up the line. She was so embarrassed and I felt bad. If you wrap your food use wax paper 📄 or Saran-wrap. What food can you take is asked a lot on the TSA App and to TSA officers. Hope you do a video on what kind of foods you can take on an international flight instead of eating the airline food.
Great content as always. I also like TSA on IG.
I love this type of content. Thanks for your help. 👍🏼
Thank you for letting me know! Is there anything else like this that you would like for a video? I am really trying to get an idea of what you guys like/want/need
I would love your tips for getting around the cities in Europe for the first time. I will be visiting Barcelona soon.
I’m in uk and got a great liquids baggy it has the measurements on it and a waterproof seal. I have even had a security checker say to me how great it is. Before I got this I used one of those zippered square ones (I have to first fly from a very small airport and the are very strict) they kept making me empty it into one of their plastic bags. Now with the new baggy I don’t have to.
What is the Brand Name of Your Bag,Please?
@@dawncrossland3028I'm curious as well ! Lol.💜
what about any perfumes bottles? like a bath and body works?
Is it the same for acceptable travel with a electric scooter the sea
14:39 I applied for TSA precheck and was given a KTN or Pass ID. What is the difference or is it the same? When doing my precheck in, where do I put this number and where can I find it in my boarding pass?
Great beginners video. For some reason hubby's underwater video camera always gets flagged and they have to swab it. It's huge but looks like a camera, I think they don't see many of them. When I used to travel back and forth to SA they didn't have any kind of electronic screening so you got the good old fashioned pat down. I think the women who did it were a little resentful of Westerners not have to wear veils and such because the would squish and squeeze and pat the girls to within an inch of their lives. I used to swear they turned them in opposite directions.
I love you
I don't blame you for loving her ! She's awesome !! Lol. 💜
When ever I see scenes in movies of Us tsa I’m like :
Why are they so mean?
My city’s airport security is so nice.
TSA treats travelers like inmates
I generally find it to be fine in the US, unless they have to tell someone to do something multiple times and aren’t listening.

Thanks for all the information. However, I'm confused about where to place your shoes. You show shoes in the bin, like I'm used to from the past. However looking at the TSA site today (3/12/24), it says to "Remove your shoes and place them directly on the x-ray belt".
Would like to get the straight facts so I don't cause a commotion with TSA screeners.
Every airport is going to be different but someone from TSA will be at the front of the line letting everyone know what to do.
I’ve been watching many videos and I’m still not sure if I’ll need to put my over the ear Sony headphones that will be in it’s hard case in a bin or if I can leave it in my backpack:/ it’s my first time flying so I’m very unaware lol
you can leave it in your backpack!
Thank you. Can you wear your earrings through the security check?
Yes :)
So erm, how to get a hard copy boarding pass with no check in bags or cellphone to take a pic of it?
You can ask at the check bags counter, or they may have a kiosk.
I have multiple pill prescriptions in one silicon sandwich bag. Do I take it out with liquids?
No, you can leave them in.
Just an FYI, I got flagged and had to show my bag contents for a partial bag of Dove’s Chocolates because each is wrapped in foil. Oops. LOL I’ve also had a pat down when I forgot to remove my lip balm (Burt’s bees) from my front pocket. [still mad that I never got that TSA agent’s number. She was cute]
I have a serious question. I have both hips, both knees and left ankle replaced. There is a lot of titanium and rods involved. How will this effect my getting thru TSA?
I would just alert them of that, and they will know what to do!
Tell the TSA Officer and they will send you through the AIT Scanner, if you dont want to get scanned then you will get a pat down.
Are you talking about liquid lip stick or an actual stick? I thought I heard tsa doesn’t count lip balm sticks as a liquid.
It depends on the airport. Some are more strict. Technically creams are liquid (cream blush, lipstick) but I don’t put them in there unless I’m going internationally. Liquid lipsticks, foundations, and concealers I do.
I always get pulled over, and I never know why. Any tips/ideas of what it could be?
When you get pulled over, what is it that they check? Liquids? Electronics? Whatever that is!
where do I put my cash/credit cards and expensive jewelry if I have to take them out of my pockets...I don't trust putting them on the belt in a crowded airport
My cash/cards is in a specific hidden part of my personal item. If you have to travel with expensive jewelry (I don’t recommend it) I would put it in your personal item for that part of the trip, and then put it back on, if you want.
Some TSA lines make you push your items in and not leave the line until they are in the scanner, so no one can just grab it.
I stopped and lost interest in travel since these ex cessive rules through airports began.
If I have priority boarding, do I still go through the regular tsa line? Am in my late 60’s, haven’t flown in years…. 😬😕🧑🦳
Some airports have lines for that, but not all of them. Next time you fly, just go to regular TSA and they will direct you if there is a better line for you.

You’re KTN is what you use and are the same thing and where you enter the number may very per airline but typically they will ask when purchasing the ticket for it on the website or airline app but can be done before checking in on the website or airline app.
