IWB. After 30 years of carrying on back of hip I am just working to convert to appendix carry. Thanks for all the hard work you guys do for us and 2A. God bless.
I adore the idea of the SIG p356XL. I have tiny baby hands and the majority of double-stack pistols just feel awful in those baby hands. The p365 just feels amazing. The XL, in my mind, is a small griped gun that is approaching duty size. It is perfect for someone like me.
Over the past 30 years working with steel in the rust belt, I have developed an allergy to Chromium. I used to carry inside the waist band. Now I pocket carry. I was carrying a S&W 638 with a Kramer brand pocket holster. Now I carry a Sig P938 with a Sticky brand holster.
I have the Real Avid Kit, it’s wonderful. All you need to round it out is a bench mounted vice and Go/No Go set and you’ll have everything you need to do any kind of assembly/disassembly you need.
I used to carry IWB at 5 oclock, but now I run appendix and it's much more comfortable and easier to conceal year round. Great coverage this week, I'm kind of excited about that new Ruger Magpul bolt action since Remington's are hit and miss these days.
I carry appendix (I’m a lean guy). I used to carry at the 7:00 o’clock pos (also a southpaw), but the comfort and convenience of appendix won me over after I spent the money on a good Kydex appendix rig. I can wear basically anything without anyone knowing I’m carrying a full size handgun. I know it’s not for everyone, but once I got over the fact of where the barrel was pointing, and knowing that with a solid holster, it’s not going to discharge, it’s BY FAR the best position for me to carry. Ever since then, I carry even at home because it’s so comfortable and everything is directly in front of me I forget it’s there.
I like mini mini's for pocket carry when anything else I've got is going to print, which is rare. I like big minis for IWB in summer time - just as easy to conceal iwb and easier/ faster to unholster and easier to control for quick/ accurate follow up shots - and much lighter/ more comfortable, especially in summer.
First Thing... "Genius Of Liberty", AKA, Me And My Buddy Bubba Welded This Together And Took The Velcro Off His Sandals! And As For The Question This week, Me And My Mom Both, Prefer To Carry OWB, Makes It Easier To Get To And We Also Use Blackhawk Serpa Holsters, Regardless Of Their Reputation. We Love Them.
Sig 1911 Tacops .45acp with a Olight PL-2 Valkyrie with a custom OWB kydex holster. For a concealment garment I use a blazer in the colder months and a vest in the summer months.
Pocket Carry. Sticky Holster. Keltec P40 if daylight, Kahr PM45 with night sights if evening. Glock 30S in 45 Super if in the woods. Extra extended mag in other pocket.
The part that I like best with the New Ruger American Hunter is that it comes with a Heavy Contour 5R Rifled barrel!! If you buy them separately like the Preditor you can't get the Heavy Contoured 5r Rifled barrel just the standard 6 groove.... Ruger really steppin up there game lately!!
Generally, with warmer weather, when wearing shorts and a T-shirt, I carry my S&W Bodyguard IWB at about the 4:00 to 5:00 position. When carrying in cooler weather and wearing a heavier garment, I typically carry my Sig P365 OWB. I have multiple holsters for both IWB and OWB that I made myself. I also made my own gun belts. A good belt is just as important as a good holster. I can carry my little guns all day in complete comfort almost to the point of forgetting they are there.
10 years LEO. I'm a dbl/single exposed hammer guy. Beretta 92F, H & K P2000SK. Been thru the G26, PPS, PPK, M&P Shield and EMP for Carry . That said . I LOVE my Sig P365 birthdate last Oct. PERFECT...!! 365 IS truly a Game changer.. If I was back in the saddle with the S O I would have the 365 XL. without question.
I used to buy tons of freedom munitions for competitions. I actually really liked their 147gr 9mm as it met power factor and was very soft shooting. I also used to use their “brass credit” program but when the credit dropped from $2.15/lbs to about a buck, I saw the writing on the wall. AIWB.
Okay, so I did review the Wishbone PDW on my channel. Shot a Ruger P89 9mm, Beretta Px4 Storm in .40, and an M57 Tokarev in 7.62x25. If you want to check it out, feel free, but FULL DISCLOSURE, the guy who developed the Wishbone is actually a friend of mine (which I note in the video), so I want to put that out there to acknowledge my bias.
I started with small of the back and it took a lot of trial and error to find a holster that let me carry AIWB comfortably. Now with a Raven Concealment Eidolon I can comfortably conceal my G19
@jon answer to friendly fire question: I have different holsters to carry in and out of the weist band. It depends on what I'm doing. Sometimes I will cover it with a shirt and sometimes I leave it open to see.
Depends on what I’m carrying, time of year, where I’m going. I alternate between carrying my XD-S 9, M&P 2.0 Compact, and Ruger LCP. The XD is my summer carry gun, it rides AIWB. The M&P is my winter gun or anytime I’ll have a jacket on. It’s OWB at 5 o’clock. My LCP is my “at work” gun. I’m an RN, so can’t carry on the job, but it drops into the pocket of my scrubs when I’m headed to work, or leaving.
I think these micro/sub-compact crossovers are helping people slowly but surely walk themselves into the idea of carrying fighting style compact and sub-compact guns; and away from the lower quality and harder to shoot micro compact pistols that they've convinced themselves are "good'nuff"
It depends. I carry my G26 OWB at around the 3 o'clock position in a high riding holster when I can't pull off my Beretta PX4 Storm compact for some reason in the appendix position. If I am just grabbing a gun real quick to run an errand, I throw my LCP II in my pocket holster.
Due to being in a fall harness most the time at work, I'll either rock a fanny pack with a trigger cover that's tied off to the pack's strap, or keeping the trigger cover, but tied through a gusset in my cargo shorts side pocket. Not the best options but I haven't found anything better that messes with both fall harnesses and warehouse work.
I appendix carry because it’s the only way I can conceal. Literally every other position I try prints. Even with micro pistols like my 938. With appendix carry I’m able to conceal a VP9sk with a threaded barrel, tall sights, an RMR and a TLR7. Which is obviously not a small setup. Works for me.
365xl looks amazing, red dot yes! Appendix preferred- it's easy to conceal (no one's thinks that front bulge is a gun😁) accessible in almost every position and QUICK! 300 days I carry the 365.
I mostly carry inside the waist band. I went for a long hike and it was really uncomfortable after the fifth mile. I started carrying appendix again. I purchased a few good quality holster and I am enjoying it especially on those long hikes.
I carry aiwb due to some shoulder issues. Incidentally, I have found that I draw and acquire the target much faster this way, and it is easier for me to conceal full size pew pews.
Hi Jon. Great show. I have carried almost every day for 20 years. Mostly 4 o'clock IWB, but some OWB. I tried a shoulder rig, but just could not get comfortable. I sometimes pocket carry a small revolver. But 90% of the time, IWB.
@@andrewfaulkner3404 try fenix ammo there prices are good on there practice ammo, self defence ammo is cheap if you buy federal hst in 20 round or hornady then there a lot cheaper as they sell 50 round boxes loaded with gold dots. but i use them and there great ammo loaded to real specs not the weak crap out here. i forgot to add COMEBACK10 FOR 10% OFF YOUR ORDER.
Ankle backup shield 9 and full-size M&P 9 in a crossbreed super tuck 4:00 IWB. At home/freedom free I use a blade tech custom holster open for full guy.
IWB at 4 o’clock. I like the 365 XL. I think the biggest difference between it and the 320 compact is its the width of a single stack and a little easier to conceal. If the trigger is anything like the X series guns it will be really nice.
IWB @ 4:30 for me - I rotate between a VP9, Canik Elite, and a PX4. I like my holsters to be single point, all kydex (with sweatshield), and tuckable. [Oxford commas intended... as God intended]
I have a P365 and really don't plan on getting an XL. I also have kept my P320SC. It still serves a roll for me and its great that I can carry a P320 15, 17 or 21 round spare mag.
Definitely appendix with a Tier 1 Concealed. I've tried 4,5,6,3 inside and outside and appendix seems to be the fastest, easiest to conceal, and most comfortable in all positions (standing, sitting, driving, etc.)
As far as carry goes... the condsiderations are weather, clothes, venu and length of drive. Mostly IWB appendix, some IWB at 5. I just got into riding motorcycles and i havent found a comfortable option yet... 6 neodyn magnets on the tank with a glock on top isnt a pretty site, but it doesn't fall off.
Yeah I was excited for the XL but it waned the 365 is a perfect conceal size for me, so I cant see how making it bigger would fit. Kudos for them them trying and im sure some will get it.
Heading over to TGC surplus to subscribe now. Thanks Jon, Adam and Izzy! You boys do a great job!
Thank you!!
MK48 🔥
IWB. After 30 years of carrying on back of hip I am just working to convert to appendix carry. Thanks for all the hard work you guys do for us and 2A. God bless.
Kudos Big John....Remember & Honor our fallen...
Loving that intro for the rapid fire segment.
Thank you TGC!

Never thought of that as pro of the XL. Makes sense.
Xl P365 is a WINNER

im so glad the 6.5 6.5 creedmoor is getting more popular its a great round with excellent ballistics and great long rang potential.
Awesome show like always Jon thank you

Outside the waistband in a cowboy holster for wheel guns and shoulder holster for pistols

I like you guys because you give honest opinions and don't sugar coat stuff. That's exactly what is needed.
The P365 xl sounds interesting. I did a video on it on my little channel. Thanks for sharing.
I'm digging it
First Thing...
Carry Inside, outside, pocket, shoulder rig, thigh rig. All depends on settings and clothing I happen to be wearing that day.
IWB. Lower middle of back. Springfield XDE .45acp, 185gr+p golden sabers and a Muddy River Tactical holster. Very comfortable.
Sig 1911 Tacops .45acp with a Olight PL-2 Valkyrie with a custom OWB kydex holster. For a concealment garment I use a blazer in the colder months and a vest in the summer months.
Cajun CZp01 appendix. Best set up I've ever had.
AIWB works for me. Conceals well, easy access, and I can always quickly check to make sure it’s not printing.
Pocket Carry. Sticky Holster. Keltec P40 if daylight, Kahr PM45 with night sights if evening. Glock 30S in 45 Super if in the woods. Extra extended mag in other pocket.
Still love my XDS 4.0...
Thanks for what you guys do! For carry, AIWB is my carry method of choice.
IWB 4 O'clock, IWB appendix, and pocket. Often all at the same time.
I like these extended slide small guns. G48 is nice the sig p365xl will do well if it doesn't break

Primarily I now carry appendix, I have found through different training classes it is more secure and faster to access. If needed I will carry IWB.
Generally, with warmer weather, when wearing shorts and a T-shirt, I carry my S&W Bodyguard IWB at about the 4:00 to 5:00 position. outside the waistband, or vertical carry shoulder holster.
I mostly carry in one of my three Vertex bags

Out side at a 3 to 3:30, 3:30 for longer drive time at the wheel.
I carry IWB in the Summer, OWB in the winter months.
OWB because I can still easily conceal and also find it most comfortable
I used to buy tons of freedom munitions for competitions. I actually really liked their 147gr 9mm as it met power factor and was very soft shooting. I also used to use their “brass credit” program but when the credit dropped from $2.15/lbs to about a buck, I saw the writing on the wall. AIWB.

IWB and OWB depending on season and outfit
@jon answer to friendly fire question: I have different holsters to carry in and out of the weist band. It depends on what I'm doing. Sometimes I will cover it with a shirt and sometimes I leave it open to see.
Appendix and IWB depending on the attire
Both IWB and OWB
4 o’clock IWB for both my Kahr P9 and CZ P10c
My EDC is appendix carry with a T-Rex arms Sidecar. I have had it for quite some time, and I love it!
Appendix; and two very worthy products this video, the armorers kit and those pocket magazine clips. You just spent my money.
I started off carrying around the 4:00 position in the beginning, but then gave appendix a try and haven't looked back since.
The more options the better
I actually put the holster in my right side pocket
Right front pocket with a lcp2
IWB (5:30ish) and shoulder holster.
Depending on what I’m wearing, I carry IWB at 5:00 or OWB at 3:00-4:00. I prefer it on the side but at 165 lbs and 30” waist it’s tougher to conceal.
Inside the waistband with a tuckabke Vedder.
Appendix carry a snubby airweight .38 in the summer, and shoulder holster a 6 inch .357 in the winter.
I carry in the pocket with a nice little holster called the blackhawk tec grip.
I do pocket carry the most with IWB secondary (concealment needs, kids to hold, etc are factors leading to that order).
Due to being in a fall harness most the time at work, I'll either rock a fanny pack with a trigger cover that's tied off to the pack's strap, or keeping the trigger cover, but tied through a gusset in my cargo shorts side pocket. Depends on pistol. Mostly IWB

You had me at P365 XL.
Saw one of the ruger American hunter rifles at the gunshow yesterday and it seemed pretty nice with the heavy barrel
Freedom Munitions went bankrupt faster than they were getting my ammo shipped out to me!
Who doesn't want to pay the same price for reloads as new from other manufacturers . I do miss their retail store in my neighborhood though.

They went down faster than Michael Jackson on an 11 year old boy.
LOL
Ordered Red Army Standard 7.62x39 from them once, it took 2 1/2 weeks for the order to arrive with 2 of those weeks being processing.
Ankle backup shield 9 and full-size M&P 9 in a crossbreed super tuck 4:00 IWB. At home/freedom free I use a blade tech custom holster open for full guy.
Actually digging the p365xl, let's hope it has a smooth launch.
In the summer at carry IWB at the 4 o’clock. In the winter I carry OWB at 4 o’clock under a jacket
I'll try the 365 xl. Love my p365 with 12 round mag.
IWB at 4 o’clock. I like the 365 XL. I think the biggest difference between it and the 320 compact is its the width of a single stack and a little easier to conceal. If the trigger is anything like the X series guns it will be really nice.
I change carry guns depending on season and attire
OTW during the summer in a Sneaky Pete, AIWB during the winter
IWB @ 4:30 for me - I rotate between a VP9, Canik Elite, and a PX4. I like my holsters to be single point, all kydex (with sweatshield), and tuckable. [Oxford commas intended... as God intended]
The gundershirt could work if it clipped to your garment.
4" compact OWB at 3 o'clock either with a shirt over it or open carry since that's legal here also. Or, Colt XSP .380 in front pocket holster.
IWB aliengear holster. Has held up well for over 3 years. So comfy, I can nap while still wearing it.
EDC, Sig365 appendix; Church sig p320 or 220 owb
Glock 48 appendix, tierone concealment axis slim
I have a P365 and really don't plan on getting an XL. I also have kept my P320SC. It still serves a roll for me and its great that I can carry a P320 15, 17 or 21 round spare mag.
I run a - Appendix carry G-19 w/ Trij RMR 06 type 2 plus Inforce Aplc compact WML in a Hazmat Holster Works LB1 every day all day!!
Mostly OWB...4 o'clock position. However when wearing shorts and T-shirts, normally AIWB with my Shield.
The ruger american hunter also sports an actual heavy barrel with a .850 muzzle vs the predator with a .750.
DB380 EXO slide with night sights Gen 2 EDC with BORAII holster. Taurus PT809 home defense.
Definitely appendix with a Tier 1 Concealed. I've tried 4,5,6,3 inside and outside and appendix seems to be the fastest, easiest to conceal, and most comfortable in all positions (standing, sitting, driving, etc.)
IWB and ankle. I have learned the hard way that 2 is 1 and 1 is none....
I carry behind my back inside the waist band Gen 5 Glock 19 night sights
It depends on what I'm carrying, and where I'm carrying.
IWB. Thank God for all those men who gave their all for our country.
As far as carry goes... the condsiderations are weather, clothes, venu and length of drive. Mostly IWB appendix, some IWB at 5.
