I used a hard tooth brush to scrub away the flaked residue on the pocket liner of a vintage LV. It comes off quite easy and you can vacuum it straight out of the pocket afterwards. Not sure what the material was made of but it's some kind of dyed canvas or leather.
The flaking was grimey but dry, although I gave it a good shake down ever so often when brushing. I could vacuum it off the ground but some of it stuck and smeared on the tiles. Difficult to clean as well. After vacuuming I gave the fabric a gentle rub down with mild laundry detergent, stuffed it with kitchen paper and let it dry, removed the paper the next day and let it air dry out. It's now free of any flakes. Oh yeah, and treated the vachetta with deep leather cleaner. You'd be amazed at what comes off in terms of grease and oil. The patina came out very nice. As the finishing touch I treated the hardware with Brasso Copper Polish, again lots of dirt coming off and the end result is very nice. Shiny all around.

girl gonewild I love you - I wish we can have wine. Thanks for the support!
I got a Fendi from a hole in the wall thrift store for $2!!!!!!!
Saw it in a disorganized bin, and asked how much it was. So figured ok if its not authentic its only 2 bucks. Turns out it's definitely authentic..🙌🙌🙌
jenng2385 what an amazing find!!!! Congrats!
That is awesome!!! It is such an amazing feeling when you find something like that!!

Enjoyed this video, new to your channel. Thanks so much for sharing.
Hi, I just love your videos. I also found at the Goodwill a Louis Vuitton Mandela for $20. It is in such awesome condition also. I also found a Prada that's similar to the single flap Chanel in all leather with a beautiful chain like the Chanel.
Sunshine8740 amazing finds! Thanks for watching! ❤️
Good for her, such a great deal, wow!
Thank you for this chanel, I wish you would record more often
Thank you! I want to - just quiet do two being home with the kids 24/7. Hard to get a video recorded among the constant excitement! Will keep trying.
Thanks so much for this video! Do you know any equivalent of la’s totally awesome for us folks in europe? Or something with the same ingredient? Thanks again you make it so simple ✨👊🏽
I’ve seen other videos that suggest ‘Elbow Grease’ in Europe. It seems similar, in my opinion.
Thank you so much!! I just cleaned my vintage Gucci I took all the flakiness!!! Do you recommend any touch up pain for the leather part for minor scuffs?
alma phillips you’re welcome!
Depends on the bag and color, but I use either Tarrago self dealing dye/paint or Angelus.
Whats the Name of the Bag ??? Greetings from Germany, thank you for the tipps. I have bought a Trocadero and so i fixed it.
Hi! Thank you! It’s a Bucket Bag.
I’m new to purchasing LV and all of this. I recently came across your channel and subscribed. I’ve seen other videos about cleaning. I am currently a new mom to an preloved LV Artsy that needs a little work and love. I am familiar with Awesome cleaner. Is that ok to use on the inner suede of the Artsy? What are your recommendations for cleaning suede?
Suede is a whole other animal - I’ve researched the alcantara and it needs very special care and I haven’t gone down that road with trying products yet.
hi I have the pink velvety lining that looks horrible from just grabbing the first with my fingers. how would you go about cleaning that one? thank you
I’m guessing it’s alcantara. Not my favorite to clean but I would try a suede cleaner. (I know it’s not suede)
If you use the duct tape method, how do you get rid of the sticky residue? Do you use the totally awesome?
The duct tape doesn’t typically leave a residue but the sticky pocket does resolve with LAs Totally Awesome!
Hi Jean.. Does this work for the sticky lining of an LV bucket bag?
It’s similar, it will!
I have a Chanel patent leather bag that has a small peel and blue discoloration . Can you help?
Hi, I have dyed Chanel patent. I cannot repair peeling, unfortunately.
In the video, did you spray the awesome cleaner on the sticky pocket you were working on first? Or all you need is a sponge to rub off the sticky grime? Thanks!
Tina Woo I use multiple tools - toothbrush, nail brush, sponge - all work!
But do you have to spray the awesome on the sticky pocket first before scrubbing the sticky off? Thanks!
Tina Woo sorry, misread the question. Yes. I spray it on first as it works as a degreased.
Luxe 2Point0 thank you 😊
Tina Woo my pleasure!
I have that same bag. The pocket has no brown but is EXTREMELY sticky. Can it be saved in the same way? I tried to go at it with goo gone but it was so sticky and messy. Advice please :)
I did one today using LAs Totally Awesome and it worked on the sticky.
I have the totally awesome cleaner but what dilution ratio do we use for the lining?
I don’t have a specific ratio, I use. I followed directions on the bottle as a guide.
Luxe 2Point0 I ended up using it straight without dilution and worked just fine.
D S glad it worked! Sorry for the delay in response.
Do you rinse the pockets out when your done ?
Yes!
What is the name of the cleaner you use?
Liberty King LAs Totally Awesome - dollar store

Hi! My Sunday Riley oil spilled in my LV a few years ago. It feels sticky. Is there anything I can do?
I would try a paste made out of cornstarch and water and let it dry, then vacuum out and see if it helps. Then I’d use blue dawn as it’s a degreaser. Sorry for the hugely delayed response.
