Certain Shadow Pokemon can't Mega evolve unless they're purified, and certain Shadow Pokemon can't Gigantamax unless they're purified.

As a returning player that started playing in 2016 and stopped around 2018. I just want to say I really enjoy and appreciate these Pokémon GO history videos. I hope you continue to do more of these!
I miss the gen 1 and 2 releases when there was just so many new Pokémon released all at once, but I get why they can't keep that pace up.
Do you also get why it's impossible to get hyped up for 2 new pokemon released every few months? Especially when they are locked behind raids or egg hatches or something else? Because that's even worse.

I'm shocked that the Galar starters aren't in the game yet I mean we have the Hisui and Paldea starters in the game and even the shiny forms for the Hisui starters but still no Galar starters? come on I want myself Sobble!

They really need to focus on new gameplay mechanics, not adding new Pokémon. Such as breeding centers, and other locations on the map aside from just stops and gyms like poke centers, where you can heal your mons and trade with players not in person. They need to change the gym system, it’s too easy and boring. Have actual gym leaders that you need to beat to get a badge. For example a player has to leave 6 mons in the gym and the ai fights vs the player who is challenging the gym leader. Once you beat the gym leader you take over as the gym leader the longer you hold that position the more items you get. Controlling gyms by several players will still be a thing but having a 2nd floor of the gym where you battle the gym leader would be cool. Also PvP needs a massive overhaul, so many key mechanics of Pokemon battles are not used.

Now we're lucky to get 2-3 new Pokemon per month. The release schedule has become painfully slow. Honestly I just want Manaphy, Phione, & Arceus to close out my Gen 4 dex.
Pokemon GO cant run out of pokemon, because 1st we have new pokemon every 3-4 years and we have like 250 pokemon left and we need new regionals. How about skiddo in the Alps oder just big Mountain regions?

I think “balanced well” is an overstatement. What they are doing is just to compensate for the lack of Pokémon they can release without it catching up to the main series too quickly by packaging new pokemon in with half-assed events. They need to find better avenues to make the content more fun. I shouldn’t feel like the game is lacking because of the slow release of new Pokémon. I should feel excited to play everyday because of x y and z. A few suggestions would of course start with fixed avatars, large increase to Pokémon storage capacity, and bug fixes across the board. We NEED interactive challenges in the game that have great rewards and meaning. NOT grindy and or time-gated research, and medals that basically have no value other than being another collection piece. I love playing Pokémon go but when there is a lack of exciting spawns or exciting events, there needs to be a strong backbone of QUALITY side-content to chase after

i mean... releasing a pokemon almost every event is a bit of a stretch. i mean, this season we have and are getting 10 new pokemon released. it sounds like a lot, but with all of them being either evolutions (armarouge, ceruledge, wugtrio and naganadel), egg exclusive (charcadet), raid exclusive (mega heracross, stakataka and blacephalon), region locked (wiglett), or even just given out for free from research (poipole), theres no thrill with collecting them. i would prefer their debuts to be wild spawns. theres still plenty of things to release that would definitely fit in the wild. they should do what they did with paldea during adventures abound and start releasing the galar pokemon.

A couple notes: shadow forms are also a thing introduced as a variant with shiny version included.
New game to be released next year will be similar to Legend Arceus and it is rumored that new megas will be release although it is not a new gen drop
Alcremie and it's variants not including shiny variants will pretty much ensure we'll be ok for a while.
When they run out of Pokémon, they will be making any unreleased shiny variants a lot more spread out for release.
…or they will just start remaking every Pokémon’s clone versions xD

Fun video! They also started doing move releases, which has helped shake up the meta in both PvP and raid battles. Certain signature moves are huge, while others are just novel. Personally, I can't wait to get Terastal forms in Pokemon Go! Also, 9:05 fun fact: a light-year is a measure of distance (the distance light travels in a year).
Meanwhile me: enjoying the game with NO poke stops or gyms in a 10 minute range cuz my country don’t know the first thing about Pokémon go
One of the things that concerns me about it potentially becoming "not being fun any more" are the Community Days.
Conceding the point that there are chunks of the base that neither play PVP much or PVE much, there still feels like a ton of CD's over the last couple of years that have felt...completely pointless, other than the bonuses that day.
Bounsweet tomorrow is a great example. Nobody was asking for that. The only reason I care is because 1/4 hatch distance is fantastic for hatching 12 KM eggs which...in and of itself is another problem worth discussing.
Pre-Pandemic CD's always felt fun and exciting.
20 & 21 get a pass due to the pandemic.
From 22-onward, its like a few of the days look and sound great, but a few of the others just seem completely unnecessary.
Nobody needed or wanted Starly, or Bounsweet, or Chansey, or Roggenrolla Days, at least not the same way people might have liked the starter days, or Deino/Bagon/Beldum/etc days.
Not real convinced anything would cause them to give it additional thought, but I could be wrong.

When PokemonGO was released, all we had was, Ekans, Rattata and Golbat for the whole time..
Not to mention Legends Z-A might bring back megas and add new ones

The most painfull thing for me is that I don't have people to play with! I can't do legendary raids alone and remote passes are too expensive🙁

Prediction for Ultra Necrozma debut in Pokemon Go.
Ultra Necrozma is not likely to debut during the Alola Tour but near the end of the next season. Now was 2024 but the Alola Tour makes Ultra Necrozma debut, then it will be in 2027 every players will die waiting for it.
Since global Pokemon Festival 2024 takes place in the middle of the next season, after this will be Pokemon Festival ultra bonus. Ultra Necrozma may be part of the Pokemon Festival ultra bonus.
Mechanics Predictions.
Ultra Necrozma will be in tier 5 or tier 6 raid boss, defeat it and part of the award ultra Necrozma energies and bonus catches will be normal form Necrozma.
Maybe cost 1000 ultra energies and 60 Necrozma energies to evolve Ultra Necrozma but only Necrozma bringing fused with Solgaleo and Lunalar can be ultra evolve.
Place your Ultra Necrozma as your buddy adventure will obtain 25 ultra Necrozma energies 1 Necrozma candy and XL Necrozma candy for 20KM.
Ultra Necrozma energy has a dragon emblem on it.

I think i got a fun idea… what if pokemon did an “random encounter” in the shop. For 10 coins every day u can buy an completely random encounter with any pokemon. It could be a 10 cp weedle but also an articuno, just completely random… thoughts?

The problem with Gen 8 and 9 are the move sets, even basic ones, would be busted for cp restricted and the legends with signature moves tend to be good even without their abilities. We're about to see how bad the upheaval is going to be with necrozma in a few weeks but I think it's going to be big
Considering the only way to catch Walking Wake and Iron Leaves is a limited time raid event, I totally expect them to be released once Gen 10 is announced so people can catch it in Pokémon Go.

They will always be behind the main series games of Pokemon, but not to mention shadows, mega, gigantamax, etc. They could even begin to devote entire seasons to a region or two and have other region Pokemon in raids or eggs. It’s not anything to stress about.
There are still lots of gimmicks to be explored. Dynamax, egg breeding, additional moves (just like in the games, there are 4 total), a single player adventure mode (PvE version of the GBL) and so on. Even updating the graphics. Pokemon GO has the potential to be relevant indefinitely.
The feed of new pokemon is still ungodly slow. So far this year we’ve had like five new pokemon. Its lame and makes the game boring
This. More people will leave the game because there is nothing new to hunt or catch than because Niantic has released everything. Even if we have all the pokemon there will always be that hundo or shiny that people will want.
Well if they do i think they should start makeing their own Pokemon exclusive to their game
I’m thinking maybe they will create a new version of Pokémon kind of like shinys that compels you to go out and catch them all in that form or maybe once you catch the more you get like some sort of award and it will give you like a mini different game inside of Pokémon go

When I heard that Pokefest is going to introduce the first fusion pokemon, I thought "Oh, that's what they'll do. Just start releasing fusion pokemon and you've got an infinite number of combinations from Gen 1 alone, with so many generations to just pick and choose their favorite fusions to release." I'm still kind of hoping that they will.
The Mega Pokemon currently not in Pokemon Go are: Lucario, Mewtwo (X/Y), Mawile, Metagross, Camerupt, Sharpedo, Gallade, and Audino. There's a question about whether some are needed (Sharpedo would just get hard outclassed by Mega Gyarados) or how they would work (would Gallade need specific energy or can it just share Gardevoir's) but I hope we can get a couple of new Megas each season.
As long as nintendo keeps making pokemon games for the switch pokemon go will never run outta mons lol
Also include event pokemon and their shinies. And a lot of those don't evolve when they first come out, but like e.g. the next Halloween or the next Christmas suddenly those event 'mon can evolve.
The other thing is the meltan/melmetal release. I don't play all the newer main line games, but those haven't appeared in any of those, right? Are we going to have other exclusively Go 'mon in the future?

They could totally make the game interesting in more ways than just new Pokémon like making gyms more interesting or giving other types of places to go to on the map, but this game focuses on quantity over quality and it seems like minimizing how much work the developers have to do
Not every shiny is released the second time, some Pokemon are shiny in their debut. That being said, when the last Pokemon gets released it will take lots of time to shut down Pogo for good. First time appearing, plus special events and/or related species events.
imagine if they released all megas before legends z-a releases and then go has to release more megas (if z-a adds new megas)
They will have all kinds of costumes, ornamental head pieces etc. And the shinies will be very sporadic .

"New release" shouldn't mean locked in raids or eggs. I get that Niantic has to ration Pokemon, but the drip . . . drip . . . drip . . . is just too slow! And when we do get a new one, it might be out for a very short time, before getting locked into some feature. Just leave new release Pokemon in the wild! And don't get me started on how the wild evolved forms CAN'T be shiny.
By the time the next gen comes out in the main series they release most of the gen 6-9 will have almost all of their pokemon

They should let people earn different variations of the same Pokémon after you’ve caught enough. After catching 200 pidgeys , you qualified to get a red one or something unique and then 500 is another color and so on and so on. You wouldn’t get aggravated catching the same 11 all the time, at least it would be something to work toward.
