Robo that intro is exactly how I play with my figures, your my kind of collector, I always have the most fun with the Classified figures, the Joes battling my army of Cobras (although technically it’s Action Force here in the UK)
Is it still called that, now? I watched a video saying that Hasbro bought the Action Force company and eventually (after a decade or two of ownership) just changed it to G. I. Joe in the UK. They also fully gave up the Action Force name to a new company called Valaverse, according to the video.

Good timing actually. I just got mine 2 days ago. The new head sculpt to me is soooo much better. One thing this line needs badly though is more sets of hands.
The new Roadblock looks so good! I have one here in the UK Robo, I actually liked the first Sci Fi style release one, but this classic looking one is the definitive Roadblock hands down 👍
Dang, we've got enough Roadblock's in this line now for an 'Into the Roadblock-Verse'. Also I saw a shelf full of Barbeque's just a few days ago, shocked me seeing as it's not set to release here in the UK until December. Not really a character I know anything about though so I skipped it.
My favorite version of Roadblock is the 1987 movie. So I bought the 01 Classified (I like the gold) and the Heavy Artillery Roadblock and combined them. Of course using the gatling gun. Thanks for showing that it was possible.
Great review, as always! This Roadblock looks great and I hate to add a salty take BUT as a full time teacher, this figure has been impossible for me to get at the correct price. This is the Roadblock from my childhood that I hoped they would release but the exclusivity of it has placed it out of my reach.
Needs an apron and cookware, imo. PAST Tired of all these exclusives, tho. Hoping they at least give us a "Greenshirt army builder" with multiple heads/accys using Breaker.
Maybe I shouldn't put this out there for free, but I think that a way that Hasbro and fans can both be happy is if they retooled future figures to be customizable like the 80s line! Maybe a couple more screws, but I wouldn't mind if I could build my own custom team. That would be achieved by buying more figures, getting ones you normally wouldn't but you like the torso and boots for another character. Man, they would make so much money, not to mention the secondary market!
I didn’t really mind that they released so many Roadblocks, the first version they released is basically Version 2 from the 80s 3 3/4” line and then the Cobra Island as we know is just Heavy Duty, we probably could have done without the Redeco version but whatever. Now the new one is by far a masterpiece, I am kind of glad that they didn’t give him his original weapon, this figure has blown away all the others except Zartan, he is fantastic as well. My only gripe about this line is when they do release Barbeque I wish they would include an unmasked head sculpt from hi cartoon days, that would be epic if they did that!
I got him today. Great figure but just wished he came with his signature .50 "Ma Deuce" with tripod instead of the RAM gatling gun. He should have also been stocked with a backpack. I hope we see him rereleased with these.
I want that gun for Vipers and Grimson Guards. I like the left and center Roadblocks, not so much the right one. The left one reminds me up his version 2 original figure.
Roadblock was the second GI Joe figure I ever got back in the day. It was the version the first classic series was based on - with the flack vest thing. I kind of want to get my hands on it for the nostalgia, but don't care for the head sculpt. This one though...
My ideal Roadblock is this classic orange pants body, the original release bearded head, and the Cobra Island gun. I thought the first release Roadblock was the least interesting and overall weakest JOE design so far, and the Cobra Island design was straight up RIDICULOUS, so I'm very psyched about this OG orange pants version. Don't get me wrong, I think this new gatling gun is badass, but I'm into the Sci Fi bits. Although I hated the bright silver paint and red & blue details of that first rail gun, if you quiet all that noise down and make it a black gun with only those crystally-blue Sci Fi bits showing through, suddenly Roadblock looks like he could be a heavy gunner alongside Vasquez and Drake in ALIENS.
I can't say I dislike the updated versions, but THIS is Roadblock. Just needs a Ma-Deuce instead of the Jesse the Body's Predatator-hunter. Also.....Robo, please tell me you've got a chef's hat and apron coming for him for a play-day!!
This looks like a great figure! However if I pick it up, that makes 4 roadblock figures in 2 years? Really hoping Hasbro will move onto other characters. There's so much untapped potential for this line!
You can always count them as different figures. I have a strict 1-figure-per-character limit, but as far as I’m concerned, the Cobra Island Roadblock is Heavy Duty and this one is Double Blast, so they’re all on my shelf.

For me, I've jumped over to the Super7 G.I. Joe classics line. For Hasbro, I don't understand what they're trying to accomplish with the G.I. Classified line. At least to me, the G.I. Joe Classified line has evolved to the Hasbro G.I. Joe Team trying to show their corporate bosses that they can do better than Super7.
If only Hasbro made the Classified series more available, for a little longer. I wouldn’t mind the exclusives so much if you didn’t have to jump on them right away to pick them up at retail.
I have bought so many of these gi joe figures in the past 2 weeks. I wanted to get this roadblock but he's no longer available from anywhere but ebay. I'm loving the line though with my only flops being flint and lady jaye due to both of them having super loose drop down hip joints on the left leg giving them really floppy leg.
I just wish they gave him a Ma Deuce instead of just repurposing the same minigun we've already seen. Roadblock just doesn't look right without an M2. It's a really long gun and it's part of his silhouette.
I wanted to get him last month, now he's $10 more this month. Ugh. I don't like this feeling of urgency to grab them before the scalpers relist everything at mark up.

IMHO that cylinder isn't supposed to be the ammo but the battery. That's supposed to be belt fed. I wish they did the gun design that way.

Already got the first Roadblock figure to come out, but I might pick him up because he would look really cool fighting one of my Predator figures

The new head sculpt better conveys the combat veteran aesthetic, it also helps that the face isn't shiny this time.
