There is ZERO reason Hasbro and Target has made it this frustrating and nearly impossible to find these figures. They faced a lot of backlash and criticism from the first round and did NOTHING to rectify that. EVERY Target around me says either they don't sell it, out of stock or limited stock. My closest target didn't have them on the 1/1/2021 street date. I asked the employee about it. She was nice enough to look on her little handheld computer and said they won't get them in until 1/10/2021. I went back on the 10th. Saw 3 other collectors walk in soon after me. I guess we are starting to look obvious and desperate to the Target employees. As I walked passed this younger kid in the Electronics section, he said good morning, there are no more GI Joes. WTF? I was like how you know I was going to look? I had to laugh. I said they were to be sold today. I am the first one in the store. He said he sold them all yesterday. Again WTF!?!? I was told today! Target can't get their shit together and neither can Hasbro. Making us fans go out in a Pandemic all over the city to find figures they fail and refuse to supply for the demand. This has to be on purpose. By the way I was very polite to the kid and thanked him for letting me know. But This is some serious BS. P.S. Love your channel Fwoosh!
The 3 stores closest to me never got any of the Viper and Firefly, verified with the managers, they’ve never carried Baroness either, so the best release so far was the when I saw the case of each of the first 3 that people lined up for at my closest store and were gone after first two people in line bought them up, so as awful as that first wave release was this one has been worse 🤦🏻♂️
yup. only ONE of my local stores got any in. "4 on floor, 6 in back" on NYE. Next day, collectors are there at open and...""6 in back" are MIA. Managers are PISSED, Collectors are PISSED, and I'm hitting the alarm again. 1/10 was a wash, as well. Nothing new, save the empty ML pegs and missing ML and Joe entries on their price scanners.
@Peter Parker I normally could care less for exclusives too. But They keep doing this to army builders as well. The Viper was one of my very favorite troopers when I was a kid. I was pumped for this Trooper then pissed it was going to be a target exclusive again.
I never saw any of these guys at the 7 targets in my city which sucks because I need Firefly and now I have to pay the insane aftermarket prices if I want him, which I do.
I think I only seen GI Joe once or twice in Target. And forget about online since those are sold out before they are even released. I missed the whole first few waves. I refused to pay 2nd market prices. I will just watch him play with the toys... hahaha...
@@brianng3414 I would look at some online retails like entertainment earth or BBTS. I think the first wave is getting a 2nd production run! Just the main line though... not the target exclusives
@@Marquis_de_Nah Thanks for the advice. I think Hasbro is intentionally limiting production to increase value in the 2nd market and collectors -kind of like the days of beanie babies when prices were over inflated by speculators. I won't pay more than retail prices for toys as much as I like them.
They might as well just stay classified. That way we would never of known they existed. Since you cannot find them anywhere to begin with. Heck it's hard enough to find regular releases of this line in stores.
As a fellow Arkansan, I thank u for putting the Southern collecting community on the map and representing in such spectacular fashion! I love the G.I.Joe but just like Marvel Legends, Transformers, Neca, McFarlane, Star Wars Black Series, Mafex and so many others, I am accustomed to being disappointed with the availability of the figures. It's a shame that the G.I.Joe Classified Series is as hard to get as a Mezco, but for us who don't have stores nearby for toy hunts and limited funds for the online scalpers, I am more than accustomed to having holes in my collections. I don't mean for this message to be a drag.....LOVE the review and looking forward to the next one. You and J. Hernandez are the only guys in the game who get me to watch reviews on figures that I don't even want to own! Heck a couple times you even changed my mind about figures that I passed up. Honesty Robo playing, just reminded me of myself. Like when I get a new figure I inspect the sculpt, then the articulation, then I turn into 5 year old me., I honestly am not the biggest fan of G I joe, because I didn't grow up with it, but your videos are so entertaining. Honestly, I watched the hell out of the cartoons when I was a kid but I never had many of the toys, so this is my Joe line, my chance to get into them after 30 some odd years. And I'm LOVING it.

Usually I like a video at the end based on the overall quality, how it made me feel, what interesting points it brought up, but all you have to do is put Beef Boss in the opening skit and I've already hit the like button, instant gold.
I never found the first batch of Cobra Island figures, that Baroness will haunt me for ages. Firefly looks pretty good though! I *really* hope I can find this guy. Also the bomb gives me fortnite vibes
Never thought I was gonna get my hands on any of the Cobra Troopers, Firefly, Baroness, even the Cobra Vipers this time last year. Hey Robo, I don’t comment often, but just wanted to say how much my 7-year-old son and I always enjoy your videos. He’s always asking me if there is a new Fwoosh to watch! We had to rewatch the “He’s gonna blow the door of that safe sheriff!” and the back pack exploding at least ten times each and my boy is still in fits of hysterics about it now!
It means so much when someone like you who isn’t prone to bash anything and everything that isn’t to their taste or liking speaks out about the poor implementation of these figures. Hopefully Hasbro and Target are listening but it doesn’t seem like it.
Love the intro, man. That may be the most efficient figure I've seen in a long time. Clearly he was a labor of love for someone. There was so much thought put into those accessories and how they fit together.
Haha, every time I'm in the aisle at Target I'll see an employee turn the corner to do something, glance at me or anyone else standing there, then quickly turn around and leave before a question can be asked. I gave up on that a long time ago.

I love the overlay vest. It reminds me of his design from the Renegades cartoon. :) It is a shame that distribution has been so bad though. It's one of the many reasons (including financial ones) I'm not sure I'll be collecting the line. I have Snake Eyes and Storm Shadow, so I'm happy with that. At least until other versions of them come out.
Fantastic figure with awesome updates! Love this line but I'm concerned that the rerelease of the muted repaints are going to start to peg warm and clog the shelves once they start to hit.
Excellent review. At 11:12 I was laughingly startled by the explosion, and both at the start and end the drone "whirling" sound effect had me howling. Good stuff. I was lucky to actually find this pegged at my Target ( #targetsucks ) and they need to get better at this exclusive crap. All the best.
Great review! Great looking figure, but these target exclusives are killing it for me, Firefly is one of my favorite Cobras but I'll probably never get him unless he gets a mainline release as we don't have target in Canada and I don't think there is an alternative retailer carrying these.
I found this figure by accident. It wasn't even in the toy area. Happy I did because its been a struggle with this cobra island line. This figure is super fun. Now I'm trying to get some vipers.
When I was 8 years old Firefly and major blood were my first cobras. Immediately gravitated to Firefly. I wanted then I got Storm Shadow. I created my own backstory where Firefly and Storm Shadow were brothers and they were obsessed with killing snake eyes.
My first are the viper and frogman. The only individual from the early series is Dr mindbender. In my country as of now the Viper is impossible to get... That pissed me off to no end.
only way I'll ever get this guy is a custom repaint or rerelease. Hoping for a Walmart retro version. Glad you showed him without the flak vest. Was curious what was under there.

I was actually able to order firefly and beachhead on target's site. so far the only ones I've had to pay over retail on have been duke, scarlet, and major bludd...though I'll let that slide since I got the baroness w/ bike set for $12.

I agree with you 100% on your review. I would have liked a 84 reproduction better, but it s pretty good as is. I don t mind the reuse of parts, as long as it fits the style. really, it uses every single detail of the original. the only thing missing is his original machine gun, it used to be one of the best looking gun of the whole line. tools, dynamite, remote, all is there as before. I admit that the drone is a cool addition. but man, his face... it s much better than the original, he looks crazy and mean! I can t wait to do dios of him against the punisher or cap america, lol. I also have iron man and colossus, but, he would not stand a chance. sadly, there s no target store here where I live. I need to check toys r us or walmart, and most of the time, it s empty... I really miss my teen years where there were at least 10 stores to buy joes. man, the alleys were full of em, you just could nt miss them. eaton had the best price at $2.50 a pop. ouissshhh, prices have changed... it cost me $30 a pop these days, I will not get out a store with 10 + figs these days. and I still need; baroness, snake eyes, firefly, troopers and vipers.... I wait for destro to have his army of iron grenadiers and gold head. if hasbro does nt make it, it s just too bad. I d like the 1 rst version of storm shadow, and the red ninjas don t do it for me, they don t even have the cobra logo... I don t think my joe team will exceed 20 members. I will match about the same for cobras. Man, I really want Firefly , and the Viper, and the Red Ninja, and The Baroness... but alas, my one local Target claims they will not be stocked there.
The revised Firefly makes sense, but I am not big on the "hurtlocker" vest. The original Firefly is more like a ninja commando -I guess similar to Snake-eye, but a Cobra. This is leaning more toward army commando. And the bomb vest would definitely limit his mobility and fighting. Now, he is more like the Cobra mad bomber. Logic, but not a big fan.
I just paid stupid price for Beach Head. I love the Classified line but the CI figures make me hate all of this because we should be able to get this. I will get this Firefly figure. Thanks for the review

What an explosive review and awesome figure! Always loved Firefly as a kid. We hope...no no we pray that Target is watching this and will learn from their mistakes. Two thumbs up Robo!

I love the overlay vest. It reminds me of his design from the Renegades cartoon. :)
It is a shame that distribution has been so bad though. It's one of the many reasons (including financial ones) I'm not sure I'll be collecting the line. I have Snake Eyes and Storm Shadow, so I'm happy with that. At least until other versions of them come out.

Fantastic figure with awesome updates! Love this line but I'm concerned that the rerelease of the muted repaints are going to start to peg warm and clog the shelves once they start to hit.
Excellent review. At 11:12 I was laughingly startled by the explosion, and both at the start and end the drone "whirling" sound effect had me howling. Good stuff. I was lucky to actually find this pegged at my Target ( #targetsucks ) and they need to get better at this exclusive crap. All the best.
Great review! Great looking figure, but these target exclusives are killing it for me, Firefly is one of my favorite Cobras but I'll probably never get him unless he gets a mainline release as we don't have target in Canada and I don't think there is an alternative retailer carrying these.
I found this figure by accident. It wasn't even in the toy area. Happy I did because its been a struggle with this cobra island line. This figure is super fun. Now I'm trying to get some vipers.
When I was 8 years old Firefly and major blood were my first cobras. Immediately gravitated to Firefly. I wanted then I got Storm Shadow. I created my own backstory where Firefly and Storm Shadow were brothers and they were obsessed with killing snake eyes.
My first are the viper and frogman. The only individual from the early series is Dr mindbender. In my country as of now the Viper is impossible to get... That pissed me off to no end.

I’m not a GI Joe collector but I really want this for that head sculpt, it’s so great.
Firefly was never a favorite of mine as a kid, so I was a bit relieved to not have to try to look for it at target. But now I kind of want it.

I really hope I can find the cobra island goods, this guy looks great! Love the fact that Robo included a Wu-Tang reference lol Also I think his back armor may be more worn down than the front because cool guys always walk away and dont look at explosions xD
I wish Hasbro's other lines had as cool accessories as the GI Joe line, that's the one area where Marvel Legends needs to step up their game
Loved the intro & still like all the storage on the Joe's figs, hopefully I can get the vipers & firefly without having to wait for a more regular release thanks robo now I want him that much more
I was actually able to order firefly and beachhead on target's site. so far the only ones I've had to pay over retail on have been duke, scarlet, and major bludd...though I'll let that slide since I got the baroness w/ bike set for $12.

I’d also not know where the drone control fit, or that the drone stores on the backpack too! Wish he had a pistol and holster (leg or chest), same with a knife: you don’t want to rely on one gun and a bunch of *BOOM* when wetworks fighting.

First wave, i was able to get Baroness and Beach Head, about 1 month after release. Now, i feel wave 2 will not be seen in my area.
If Hasbro can do even 10% of the Sideshow Firefly, I would buy it in a blink. This looks like something I want to tie a firecracker to and go Toy Story 1 on it.
The backpack is like a modified version of the original backpack from Classic Hasbro Toyline.

I don t mind the reuse of parts, as long as it fits the style.
really, it uses every single detail of the original.
the only thing missing is his original machine gun,
it used to be one of the best looking gun of the whole line.
tools, dynamite, remote, all is there as before.
I admit that the drone is a cool addition.
but man, his face... it s much better than the original, he looks crazy and mean!

The storage is so satisfying
The revised Firefly makes sense, but I am not big on the "hurtlocker" vest. The original Firefly is more like a ninja commando -I guess similar to Snake-eye, but a Cobra. This is leaning more toward army commando. And the bomb vest would definitely limit his mobility and fighting. Now, he is more like the Cobra mad bomber. Logic, but not a big fan.
I just paid stupid price for Beach Head. I love the Classified line but the CI figures make me hate all of this because we should be able to get this. I will get this Firefly figure. Thanks for the review
