As someone who tried doing free range parks in the first evolution, with this new territory system is love to try it again
The T. Rex animation is unique Beaver, although all the large carnos (excluding Spino, Indo) seem to do that hop, skip and jump, if you watch the Rex's feet you see her stomp on the Struthi's head ala JP1 when it hunts the Gallimimus. The only one that seems to share the head stomp is Carchar but it was too awkward of an angle to tell for certain
and the rex had a different homalacephale kill to the spino and acro
the carcar did have the foot stomp

The fight between indoraptor and indomimus rex I found the animations very strange
I love that spinosaurus, it's absolutely beautiful! A great representation of the spino I know and love!
I love the game animations they seem so real. The indoraptor looks majestic, Rexy looks like true legend, and indom just looks like it would kill anything and anyone
I just realized something they might could add later on - what if when a hadrosaur is by an electric fence when a large carnivore is hunting it, the predator swings or pushes it into the fence to electrocute/stun the animal before either breaking its neck (If the carnivore is hungry enough/losing health), or bites a leg/the tail (so the prey dies slowly over time, when the carnivore is just hungry enough to hunt but not starving)
Hopefully Frontier nerfs the velociraptors, or at least makes them take damage when they get thrown or when the dinosaur they are on rolls over. It seems like the velociraptors can just kill anything when they combine their efforts, which is one of the only things I dislike about this game so far. Other than that, this game looks awesome!

maybe make it so the raptors avoid other dinos and only attack when they have enough raptors in numbers, like to hunt something really big they need 6+ raptors then they do it that way they seem less overpowered

I love that the spino has to tilt its head to eat. It makes sense cause its head is made more for fishing and eating fish, not ripping chunks of meat off a body. Im sure it could of killed other dinosaurs, but it would not of had the jaw strength like a rex to just rip limbs off and crunch bone. It would of had to scrape the body of its meat.

Velociraptor is way to overpowered, I’m not sure about the other small dinosaurs but them attaching and winning against all the larger predators without taking damage or losses! What? Why?
Cause they are the most aggressive and intelligent sans the Indominus in the franchise? A raptor pack was supposed to kill the Spinosaurus in JP3 originally. And Rexy only ever fought one. She ambushed the other. Indominus was the only one to ever fight more than one and it had near bullet proof skin to help. Even then we see it struggle at first. A 4v1 against Indominus might have driven it off. Doubt raptors could Kill it. But a coordinated assault might drive it away.
They should totally still take losses though.

I always loved watching dinos fight in Jpog. It felt like a joust where they would run and strike each other. The animations alone won't sway my decision to buy but I understand feeling underwhelmed

Not really the same kill animation tho. Movie had a very distinct snapping animation when it killed the Rex. Here it just fell over while holding its neck.
I really expected the I-Rex to take out those Velociraptors, yet I-Rex couldn’t take them. Great teamwork, raptors!

Honestly, I am very happy that they bulked up rexy a bit to make it more realistic. She is ripped now! Also the fighting, is a lot more realistic which is so awesome!

I will be super happy when I can get my hands on the game. One thing I hope that they can fix the small bugs like the running animation and some of the finishing animation but other wise this is a great game no matter what.
The raptors should take damage when they get thrown, but it makes sense that they always win as a pack. If you remember, they're the real threat through all the movies, not the t rex or spinosaurus

The animations are great but they seem to be a little buggy. Like the dinos phase into each others models for some reason. Maybe Frontier has patched it since then before the main official release comes out? Wait please tell me this game isnt still in its alphas stages right? Also Frontier I think said that the Rex Model and The Spino models are based off of the Stan Winstion animatronics.
I HATE the tail animations, they are so out of sync with tue rest of the body. And yhea, kust like for JWE1 i hate when dinos lock into each other for combat and hunt. It's so noticeable and so disappointing...
@@salva2387 It's simply impossible to completely eliminate the locking on, but you can mitigate how obvious it is.

A frontal attack, or a side hit. i was truly hoping for acro to slam his head against the side of the Edmonto knocking her on the ground then finishing her. like ram animations and stuff from the side. head crunch from the front. Indos didn't even use his hands that much, even if he has fucking opposable thumbs.

Jurassic World Evolution 2 looks good and certainly an improvement, but I'm disappointed in Aquatic Creatures. Theere's no Creature can stand against the Mosa, it looks quite buggy, the animation are fine but when in an assault, it gets old real fast but I like it nonetheless.
most games have a day one patch, maybe this will improve it a bit.

Actually the Acrocantho's and Trex's animation of killing the struthio was slightly different because the trex, after jumping, steps on the struthio's head and pulled its body up while the acro just let go after violently shaking it

One thing I hope they do in the future is have specific things dinosaurs do have a random animation that all lead into the same thing, like multiple animations a T.Rex can do to take down a Parasaur, and its all random, so it doesn't just seem like a repeat and more like the dinosaurs are more...Conscious and aware of their actions. Alive per say.

I wish that the Hadrosaurs actually fought back, it would be so cool to see a herd of Edmontosaurs like roaring ant a Rex, and if the Rex got to close one of them would stomp to scare it off, but limitations do exist.
Don’t get why the large carnivores can’t kill Sauropods, like the Rex or Spinosaurus.
It’s such a shame. This is the same thing as JW1. The non fluid actions is a killer. I guess it just can’t be done honestly. Zero defense from herbs that literally look like how they do and evolved to combat the carnos. The apex animation biting, lifting and throwing the herb from one side to the other going completely airborne is ridiculous when it realistically would bite down and then drive the prey into the ground with the force of the attack

Sauropods should be able to fight back, most dangerous animals today are large herbivores so imagine the damage an enraged Brachiosaurus could do.

It would be so cool if the alpha of any pack defends the pack, maybe threatning the carnivores or something, and if the alpha gets killed then the others panic. It would require you to make a good alpha to ensure the pack survives.
I'm hoping that with large enclosures and the territory system you can have theropods and herbivores coexist without at least much fighting and killing. Like with the piscivores you have their fish feeder and water in one side and the foliage for herbivores in the other side and they'll refrain from attacking each other.

25:57 uk when u said "it learned" I do hope they add some learning mechanic for some dinos such as the I-rex and raptors. Where they dont really win their first battle but do learn how to take down prey when encountering it again or after many failed attempts.
I noticed a very minor difference in ornithimimid kill animation. When giga killed galli he didn't put a foot on the gallis head while it did with struthi.

From what I can tell with the Spinosaurus is that they gave it extra bumps at the base of its tail, made the osteoderms on its back run down to the tail and maybe changed the head a bit. The overall model is still the same, it’s still fairly slim unlike it’s JP3 counterpart and has the same JWE roars for whatever reason but my boy is looking good!

Yeah I wonder what's stopping them from just straight up bulking the spino in these games. It's a lot more beefier in jp3 than what we're seeing here. Still, it's leagues better than the first game lol

Yah, for some reason the Rex looks bigger than the Spino here. I mean in general I think they need to shorten the length of the tail and then increase its size to compensate for the shorter length. Hopefully they do a patch in the future like in the first JWE. Kinda optimistic though, but it still begs the question on why don't they just bulk up the Spino to make it more movie accurate?

I also depicted that the animations r based on the jaw structure. So for a grasping jaw, spinosaurus, he threw the edmontosaurus way farther than the tearing jaw, trex did. And while everyone took 1.5-2 seconds to swallow the homaphocephale, the indominus rex took less than to 1 second to swallow

The T. rex kill on the something-mimus, didn’t catch the name, was amazing. She like stopped on her right toes, set her balance, and then threw her weight and launched on her toes all in a split second. Like a real bipedal hunter. She dove for the other dinosaur. Such a cool animation
Also just FYI, the Carcharodontosaurus design in this game is very very inaccurate.

It's maybe a bit too slim, but the skulls of Carcharodontosaurus and its relatives were built like that in fact. They didn't have robust heads like Rex

One thing I always noticed is that when the carnivores(big ones)eat the homalocelfale(sorry if I spelled it wrong)they grab it’s tail and make it do a backflip into their mouth.

there are two homalacephle kill animations, on where the carnivore grabs the homalo's tail, flings it in the air, then eats it, and one where the carnivore just engulfs the homalo immediately and lifts its head up to swallow it

Killing the indom is ridiculous, and that’s where a nerf comes in, but they shouldn’t even try against the sauropods (that aren’t the amargo and niger)

I think the Carcharodontosaurus looks weird because it's too skinny. It's skull shape look a tiny bit good, long and narrow, but I think it might be a bit too long, it's head is also kinda small. It's head kinda reminds me more of something evolving into a spinosaurid. So yeah, I think it looks weird because of Carcharodontosaurus basal spinosaurid looking skull and because it hasn't been eating much.
I'm with you. The Carchara looks inaccurate and not like one. I hope for remodel or alternate skin. Maybe we're getting a Mapusaurus, that would also fine ;)
@@RazzJinko001 An accurate charcar would honestly be too similar to a giga, but i also don't like this design either.
I also really don't like the fact that they didn't seem to have updated the Allo to big rock appearance nor saved the giga for Dominion's release where they could've introduced it already updated.

As I went on I noticed some of the larger carnivotes have their own little quirks. The Carchar thrashes the neck a bit once the hadrosaur is down, I didmt notice that on any of the others

He also said it used echolocation so could you imagine the indoraptor was just playing with them to scare them???? What a clever girl

Also, in the scene where Owen Claire and Maisie arrive at the fossil skull, they hid in front of the horns and moved depending on how close the indoraptor was, it's that same scene, you realize that the indoraptor was completely thrown towards that one. side. where they were seconds before Owen Maisie and Claire, ready to attack. , this gives us to understand that he knew they were there. as it did before, it would only terrorize and play with its prey before devouring it

36:00 A Spino or any large carnivore or herbivore landing on a raptor like that should be able to kill it, or at least cripple the raptor.... 😂😂😂
In spite of the kill animations being shared by the carnivores, if you look closely at the hadrosaur kills, you'll notice that the big theropods take a bite to the flank first to slow the hadrosaur down before doing the neck bite. The big carnivores didn't do that in the first game.
When the spino took down the Struthio, I think it used one of its legs to claw at it. I don’t know if you noticed it but it was awesome. That spino is definitely my favorite in the game right now
I like how the spino fighting the rex is just dancing.
What im willing to bet is either A) theyre saving a few animations for a patch/full release or B) we might see new ones added in future free updates
Like seeing maybe 2 or 3 general animations for most fighting dinosaurs, like seeing Indom smack the IRaptor out of the air with its tail, or a claw swipe. Maybe a Spino using its claws to scrape the side of a Rex, or the Rex to bite the Spino's arm. I know it wont happen right away but.. a boy can dream? xD
We saw this happen with things like the Rex in JWE, where they gave it later animations to fight a raptor, and the Iguanodon too.. so I can imagine a better Spino/Rex and Indo/Anky kill interaction (That's if the Indo/Anky isnt already unique, as it did seem to take a hit and then learn after. Just would like to see it claw at its back first and fail, ya know? Just to stand out from other big carnivores knocking it over)
Love how this looks, and although buggy, things flow into eachother a bit more fluidly.. but l think it'll look better in more open spaces i think :)
