The Mk2’s are Platinum Gold & Mk1’s are White Gold, the difference in shade is notable when two are parked side by side which only ever happens at a car show these days. The seats on your car have been retrofitted from a Mk1 Cowley 75, the giveaways are the embossed headrests & four leather pads whilst a Mk2 has five leather pads. Also the double piping indicates an early Mk1 donor car for the seats as later Mk1 cars had only one pipe around the outer seat edge. The steering wheel is also from a Mk1 Rover 75 because it has the older Viking longship badge.
I enjoyed watching the videos on this 75’s restoration to its full glory & hopefully it finds a new lease of life with another caring owner.

the mk 2`s were not as well made as the mk 1`s, much cheaper materials were used as bmw wanted rid of them asap.

They sold like hot cakes!
Couldn't get enough of them.
Since then we've specialised just with these models and the ZT's.

Looks like a very nice car, but disagree about smiley plates. In my opinion they're awful.
