I don't think AVGN and IG hated each other as much as fans claim. It's mostly the fans that get really heated with each other.

Even Doug Walker fans had little reason to use it, because he has a CZcams channel. The other CA contributors may have left the site, but half of their subscribers probably didn't even know they were still on it up to that point.

With that said, Chris passed that bar for a while now; but with THAT said, his first few years of content slammed face first into that bar with the force of super nova due to straight up stealing parts of James' script. As an example in his TMNT video he used some of the same jokes word for word. Congratulate Chris for making very well made, highly edited, funny, and whole original videos. Don't congratulate him on something that he should have done a decade ago.

Derek J. Evans A document called “Not so Awesome” surfaced a while ago detailing allegations against the Walker Brothers regarding abuse of staff. Also, many people feel like his videos aren’t as a good as they used to be. With unfunny skits to pad out the video, unfunny commentary on the film and a mediocre review overall. Not to mention projects that were ambitiously awful like To Boldly Flee, Pop Quiz Hotshot, and the Wall review.
@@turboturd719 Doug Walker was never accused of any wrong doing. The problems were with Mike M. Doug was accused of being indifferent to the issues and not being a all the great at organizing the anniversary events.

And his mismanagement made it seem that he did not care for the well being of his peers. So many of those who left Channel Awesome were bullied by Mike and Doug's brother Rob, and Doug either turned a blind eye or didn't really look into it and either slam or scold the two. Yes I understand Mike is the big boss but remember it was DOUG who invited and hired him to take over. Least he could have done was make some reprimands for those who had a shit time at Channel Awesome.

I binged all of the AVGN stuff when I found James in 2015. Marathon then and been going since. Then I found Chris because of James and binged all of Irrate Gamer. Found it to be equally as enjoyable tbh despite the similarities. I thought back then why can't people just watch what they enjoy and leave the hate at the door. There's too much of it in our real lives. I watched avgn and ig to get away from it all and have fun. So happy you've returned Chris and can't wait for this.
I watched the Irate Gamer first in about 2008 and found James/AVGN because of a CZcams comment on one of those videos talking about him. I watched AVGN's videos and kept watching for the past 12 years, but forgot about IG for a long time. Now cause I watch AVGN, this vid got recommended. Finally come full circle.
This is exactly how I felt. Well... To be honest I didn't really like AVGN's style of video. But the only reason I really disliked AVGN was because of his lack of respect for IrateGamer. They should have been trying to work together. IG wasn't innocent in this I know. But if AVGN had been the bigger man he could have just made light humor of it. IG did what literally all the big CZcamsrs do now.

This is such a weird situation. So many things blow me away:
1. How is Chris Bores still on the internet? I thought surely he would have been making no money off of it at this point and would have given up.
2. How has his content remained completely unchanged? Seriously it's like a fucking time capsule. I mean +1 for the nostalgia though damn.

I thought James, really looked like the old gamer of old in this video (sadly more so than some of his recent AVGN videos. I don't think they are all bad like the haters say but they have been up and down). Kudos to both and Kudos to James for making the cameo.

Never did I imagine this would happen. I'm glad it did. The drama between irate gamer fans and avgn fans is what bothered me a lot, but I am glad it's finally put to rest. It's kind of weird, we used to see NC crossover with AVGN so many times and enjoyed it, but now, with all the drama with Doug Walker, I'm glad AVGN is working alongside IG. They have more in common anyway.

Is this implying there will be more crossovers? :) I hope so. This is what optimus meant when he said "light our darkest hour." 2020 being a crazy ass year and then irate gamer and avgn make a video together. They did the one thing no one expected. It ended the 13 year long flame war and brought us closer during this dark period. Not the crossover we deserved, but the one that we needed.

My expectations were sadly too high because I watched a video called Phase One: Angry Reviewers Assembled
You would be right if this was 2009 or 2010. But back then they sort've wasted that opportunity and were at each other's throats. It's good to see that's not the case anymore. It really is. Back then a lot of gaming CZcamsrs wouldn't really collab or network with each other and was mostly because of the beef Irate and AVGN had. They just all sort've did their own thing, stayed with their own group/brand. And that's why almost none of them are left. TheRadBrad is the only one that managed to do it and never fell off. It wasn't until CZcamsrs like Markiplier, Pewdiepie _(even though I hate him), and Vanoss showed up that this view changed. No one got mad for playing the same game the biggest CZcamsr was playing. No one got mad for having similar gimmicks to the CZcamsrs the were inspired by. After that.

So he cheated, and the real winner is Chris who did it the old fashion way, and now your a man a real man.
I remember in 2008 or 2009 somebody uploaded a video on CZcams called "Irate Gamer and AVGN crossover" and the thumbnail was AVGN and Irate Gamer sitting on the couch together.
