    The Oldsmobile 215 V8 was based on the Buick 215, but had so many changes that it shared few if any parts with the Buick. The Buick engine saw production, but was cancelled due to corrosion issues caused by incompatible antifreeze being used by various repair shops. The Buick 215 was sold to Rover, where it was slightly modified and used in various vehicles.

    I'd say the dodge Daytona iroc r/t's engine would be fair to put on a list like this. It's a lotus head/dodge turbo 4cylinder that at the time and until early 2000's was the fastest fwd vehicle made. Very rare and not cheap to work on. I know by experience. Mine is sitting in the yard.

    The Commer TS3 is essentially a two stoke diesel engine. The "Blower" on these engines isn't used as a "Supercharger", but as a "Scavenger Blower" due to these engines not having their own means of aspiration. Air is blown into the cylinder intake ports witch in turn blows the exhaust gases out (exhaust scavenging) of the exhaust ports. Very cool video though! Please keep up the good work.

      I realize this video is rather dated but I just happened across it. The question I have is how is the energy of the opposed pistons transfer their energy to the drive train with only one crankshaft?

    I wonder what that F-85 Cutlass is worth? Surely being a convertible and that engine setup (assuming is it original) it would be Super-Rare.

    • @garymanis6305
      @garymanis6305 Před 7 lety

      I don't understand the term "lamborrari". The car was based on the original, proposed and rejected design for the Diablo. The engine is a custom cast block with Lamborghini internals. Basically, two Lamborghini V8s. No Ferrari parts. Cheers!

    • @rationalmartian
      @rationalmartian Před 5 lety +1

      The compressor portion takes in a certain amount of air and when it emerges from the compressor section it has been compressed by an amount.
      Essentially as it would have been inside a combustion cylinder by the piston/s moving up from BTC to TDC.

    • @rationalmartian
      @rationalmartian Před 5 lety

      Four/quad rotor ones are pretty fucking rare though. Can you go and root me a few out? Try E Bay.
      Maybe you were not even aware what you were actually seeing. LOLOL. Or hearing. FFS are you deaf or just clueless.
      I'll bet you don't even know how a fucking engine works, let alone a Wankel rotary engine. Yet you have the brass neck and gall to call other folk nimrod's.
      Seriously?
