Maxwell and his death was such a long running gag on this show. 20 years later and he still gets a (dis)honourable mention. Ian never let an opportunity to bring him up go by whenever a host or a guest had ANY connection with him. Angus too loathed the man and took every opportunity to put the knife in.
@@chrisoliver5649 yeah… Angus Deayton’s private life definitely left a lot to be desired but he was a brilliant host for this show. His dry humour works very well here
Yakuza members don't cut of their pinky in an iinitiation ritual. The cut it of and give it to their boss after they made a major mistake as a kind of peace offering.
Anne Robinson looking fairly human - this must be an old episode! These days, she looks like something which was rescued from a fire at Madame Tussauds.
There was a light blub that has been on for over 100 years in an old fire station in California. "Sometimes it seems like light bulbs burn out just a few minutes after you change them. And then, at the other end of the spectrum, there’s the Centennial Bulb in California, which has been burning since 1901. The light bulb hangs from the ceiling of the Livermore-Pleasanton Fire Department’s Fire Station #6, about an hour east of San Francisco." NATALIE SOUTHWICK ·FEBRUARY 4, 2017
I have been a long-term super-fan of HIGNFY since it's birth, and loved and admired Angus Drayton for almost as long - for his wit and wisdom, and hence enormous s🇵🇸x appeal. But "TESCOS"??!! Seriously?? I am so dismayed 🤐.
Paul is wearing a Lifeline t shirt. I had one of those with a white rhino on it in 1992. Nice bit of early nineties fashion and also the proceeds went to charity. I always notice what he's wearing, but I notice even more in the older episodes.
My god, Anne was so shy, hardly looking at the camera or audience. Arms folded, head bowed, coquettishly looking up whenever mentioned. Don't tell me she felt dominated by 4 men!
More like she was embarrassed as she knew MR Maxwell would be brought up, especially by I H, as his mag had been sued so many times by the reprobate, of which she was an employee.
Actually the audience is quick and often can see where the joke is going. But as I listen after yr comment, the laughs mostly come after the comment time and again, at least 9 x out of 10. This after listneing between 7:00 and 7:43.
So glad these are available to watch. Great fun looking back in light of current events. That prince Andrew reference 👌. Good work uploading these.
Ghislaine Maxwell features as well haha
They were so good and still miss Angus
Angus was absolutely masterful
“Sorry one of the 4 most welsh comedians” 😂
Angus was the best host this show had.
Nah, Brian Blessed was the best ever imo
by a country mile
@@TheKillingJoker1980 fun, but a bit loud and a bit too silly sometimes. Jo Brand one of the strongest for me.
Top tele viewing and will be in the history books with Angus.
Angus was magic
thanks again... luvly! more please..

Thanks for posting.
Angus' deadpan and masterful delivery is sorely missed. The Bill Wyman part is expecially hilarious.
Incredible really how the show hasn't changed at all in nearly 30 years
It's not as.funny as back then. No way.

I don’t think that audience understood that Stephen fry joke

I miss 1992.

I would have said King Tut's tomb...bot otherwise correct...
man anne robinson contributed almost nothing this entire episode. consistency is key i suppose
Bring back Angus!
Very very weird to hear them talk so casually about Ghislaine Maxwell and "her" boat.
Possibly the same boat that Harry found his future wife on call...
Are u assuming it was Epsteins?

And you believe that 100 year bulb should hang above Angus's head, like a halo, yeah?
@@karendegenerous8044, not a good assumption.
Does Anne Robinson still call Ghislaine Maxwell a friend❓
Anne dominated this episode
The way she commanded the show by sitting there silently and adding nothing was truly amazing. Such a pro
It's actually episode 8 of series 3
Can this really be the same sexy attractive woman who ruled The Weakest Link?
No he edits Private Eye.
lfcizdabest - very good. Silly mistake for me to make! I must be the weakest link.
@@lfcizdabest Paul Merton edits Private Eye??
lfcizdabest 🤣

Sex appeal, hilarious!!
According to IMDB, this episode is from the 29th May 1992

They should have kept Angus and got rid of Hislop and especially Merton with his 'I am holier than the Pope' attitude.
Done

0:50 What? She with no glasses?
This is def not the same A R from The W L.
pc killed everything. used to be funny as fuck
23:14, Eeeww!! Anne Robinson knows G..Maxwell personally.
That's just plain ICKY. Ew. Icky Poo. ICK.
Clearly a correlation between women’s plastic surgery and becoming obnoxious.
Same goes for misogyny, but the correlation is much stronger.
Grif Rhys Jones is so irritating, he's ruined this episode
Yus, it's the old cheating initial score of 4 - 4 yet again.... Mate! Are you still hiding?
The laughter actually comes in just before they finish their comments. Ie canned laughter....so why bother?
It's filmed in front of a studio audience. It's not canned laughter.

Lol worst and least accurate comment ever
