First video where I've seen the GPU get significantly downgraded, neat
i was thinking about that to like wtf
Lol git reckd, this made no sense to me
I stopped watching when I heard they are putting a 3060 in it... Like wtf she is running a 2080ti!!!
@@t1aoshibby luckily minecraft isn't a very gpu-intensive game, at all really, I run absolutely fine on a gtx 560 with render distance set to max
@@cooisa yes but the point is, it's a downgrade regardless.
Imagine this PC overheating and melting the plastic 🤣🤣🤣
That wouldn’t happen depending on what filament they used. Petg is a very common filament and the melting point is at like 500 degrees Fahrenheit. But it starts to get more like a liquid at 400 degrees Fahrenheit.
It would be really cool if the blue parts of the ore can glow in the dark or something

Y’all downgraded this poor girls GPU from a 2080 ti to a 3060 😭
I was looking for this comment lol
Plus the 3060 is so much worse LMAO 😂
They need to give the poor girl her 2080 ti back lmao
@@brokenwingsx2098 ong she got scammed
She said the 3060 is for streaming im assuming shes going to play on the 2080ti and stream on the 3060 machine.
I personally don't think that this PC should've been shipped out.I could honestly care less as far as the hardware (even if they are downgraded), but the actual build of the case waas just poorly managed. The time frame of when this needed to be done was obviously an issue but this should've been something that needed to be overlooked. I'm really disappointed in this one tbh
I was kind of screaming watching them try to fix this with crazy glue and zip ties. For something that's gonna experience temperature changes has to hold the weight of components, crazy glue isn't a great option. Bondo and or an epoxy would be a better option. Especially for something weight bearing.
Even if they woulda just heated up a sautering iron to fuse the pieces then filled in the hole with some hole filler and repainted it would have worked
I think they did a wonderful job in the time they had. Maybe take a step back and realize that some things have a constraint so people work with what they can. Doesn't have to meet your specifications. You ain't the one receiving it. You know what they say...if ya got nothing nice to say....don't say it.
@@emilycrowl8696 Na. That’s just a jank build, and the person receiving it will definitely have issues. Maybe take a step back and realize calling someone out on their mistakes isn’t a bad thing. Doesn’t meet my specifications, but that doesn’t matter. It matters that the heat from the pc will melt all the glue and the system will literally fall apart. It’s a cad build. Period.
@@emilycrowl8696 Okay but that motherboard is gonna come loose after a while.
You’ll live.
Lol love how she got downgraded from a 2080ti to a 3060
ikr
It could be a 2 pc setup? 2080ti for streaming, 3060 for minecraft?
@@bigchungus3419 she said she would stream off the new one.
@@SoHighIFly Oh good. That's about the only thing it's going to be able to do without melting.
@@SoHighIFly that’s probably for the best although it has the better cpu gpu is better for gaming so I’d rather use the 2080ti pc for gaming
geez I feel like I have never left a negative comment... but there are too many issues here for you to have sent her that case... in a 3d print that large he should have split it and connected the base to the motherboard tray... and he didn't adjust the interior 3d lattice to increase strength which would have helped a lot with their strength issues... good first try but keep at the printing
And he also gave her a worse graphics card then she already had.
@Rogelio Cano lol I didn't want to be too negative so I left that out.. but was very surprised they did that after they found our about the 2080 she had... could have increased the case size and printed it slightly different to accommodate that on the size of printer they had.

@@emilycrowl8696 no its good to point out the bullshit
I'm right in saying she said her PC already had a 2080Ti, right? But they're putting a 3060 in it? Which is a significant downgrade, because a 2080Ti basically = RTX 3070. That's a really weird choice of hardware right there.
I think it's closer to the 3070 Ti
That's true, but it's still an overkill gpu, meaning the difference will hardly even be noticeable.
minecraft is made probably the lowest graphically intense game ever made, also considering them using an itx mobo, i doubt they could fit a 2080 ti in there.
@@papito307 My man, its a cube, that represents a block in game, make the cube bigger lol, fit a bigger gpu in
@@Al3ksandrOrlov They mentioned it was a streaming pc so she wasn't going to fully replace her old one
Alot of 3D plastics are heat-sensitive. Like the PLA for example. You can heat up metal and quickly insert it, to build up a hidden skeleton inside the 3D print. All you need is to use threaded inserts, and screws to bolt it together. This way you don't need to print everything in one piece, so there's less that can go wrong.
I make a 3d printed Borg case. It melted as I used PLA. Admittedly it was in a limited air flow situation,
@@darrenbraecklein8515 Yeah i was thinking that might be an issue, thou im not sure what materials they printed with, but I'm pretty sure they benchmarked it enough, to have noticed it melting.
-Great idea with the Borg cube thou! -Did you get it printed in something more durable afterwards?
Jared might be one of the core workers in the Overclock Media. From being just a normal employee in Micro Center, to be hired by Austin due to his talents.

we are going to be giving this pc tooooo, someone that has a 2080ti already.
ok
“I trust that you know stuff about the tech side so I’m going to leave that to you…”
Famous last words.
So she already has a 2080Ti and she gets a worse card?
I mean for Minecraft it doesn't matter, but still, she already had a really good PC, no side grade needed.
It's because it's the only card that would fit. GPU length is very limited. The shortest 3070 already exceeds the 9 inch length.
@Minter_winter yeah they didn't plan shit
@Minter_winter For real, like, they were the ones who chose making a 9x9 case, they could've made it as big as they wanted. Granted, it'd have taken even longer to print, but at least they could've gotten a GPU that is actually an upgrade over what she already had.
She is using her old system for Minecraft, using the new one for just streaming. If anything that helps preformance ever so slightly
Ikr
ill be honest this build you gave her is shit. downgraded from a 2080ti to a 3060 and the internal 3D printing hack job was horrible. I would have never sent her that PC in that state.
dont get me wrong i love your channel but you screwed her on this and gave many others killer builds.

Petition to bring back “Hey Guys, this is Austin”
The girl had a 2080TI and didn't even realize how lucky she was, damn. Let's hope she kept it
I don’t even think she even ended up using this pc… she built herself a new one last year and you could see the 2080ti in the old one (that she had before this) still. She might have cannibalized this one for the i9 (not sure on that but previously she had an i7 9700k) and maybe other parts. Not sure exactly though.
wouldn't it have been easier to just make the case bigger? also agree with most comments on gpu downgrade, I actually felt bad for her getting a PC like that, and comparing it to the first 4, its like wtf
also imagine her reaction watching this like idk it didn't seem like you were taking it that seriously, yeah you had limited time, but I'm sure you could have either planned for it better, or just taken as much time as you needed, I doubt xbox would prefer this over a quality build even if it took longer, it just doesnt paint a good picture
Dude its sick and its a free gaming computer for her so chill, haha
honestly, i agree with you, the design of it was cool with the diamond ore, but they had to sacrifice some major things. cooling, gpu and others. idk if her new pc is gonna last long :(

The whole point of 3D printing is tailoring your design to your needs. Why the GPU had to be modified? Why is it also a worse GPU than the one she already had?

@@traj07 probably because she doesnt know much about computers and will probably use the new one because it looks "nicer", and was already asssuming it would be an upgrade because he asked what componets she already uses.
Instead of giving it to someone who's PC is already better than the gift, he should have given it to someone who it would actually be an upgrade to. Instead of being a series giving expensive computers to people who can already afford it and are more then financially stable, he could have made a series about giving cool pcs away to the less fortunate streamers running bad hardware.

With layer shifts etc. if you stop the print straight away, you can pull off the bits that failed (leave the rest stuck to your build plate) and then continue the print by measuring the height of the print and removing that section of gcode, it will carry on printing from where it started to fail. Just make sure to remove the gcode for auto homing otherwise it will send your Z axis straight into the print and break something
